Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster Chapter 155 - 155 Putting The Chips On The Table
155: Putting The Chips On The Table 155: Putting The Chips On The Table Once again, Rael found himself in a completely different space—the mind realm.
Unlike Beatrice, the barbarian woman, Nyzzara had a rather strange mind realm.
There were no serene fountains or gazebos.
Instead, Rael found himself face-to-face with Nyzzara in so sort of gladiator arena.
The air was sohow both dry and humid, yet the ground was soft and grassy.
The blades of grass were pretty long, so even reaching his height.
However, since he wanted to have a proper conversation with this woman, he simply willed away all the grass in her mind realm.
She had brown hair and brown eyes that stared directly at him with a wary look.
“The Nightmare King?
What are you…?
And what are you doing inside my mind?” Nyzzara asked as she slowly approached, stopping right before him.
“Were you the one responsible for sending that girl to give us a ssage?” “Maybe,” Rael replied with a shrug.
When he had gotten rid of the grass, he also made sure to change his hair color and even put on a white mask to hide his face.
There was also the added boon: instead of his full na, his race was shown when his ntal integrity decreased.
Rael’s brows twitched.
Had I fucking known that, I wouldn’t have needed to use this trump card and just invaded his mind instead…
well…
the more you know, I guess.
Nonetheless, he had to get this woman on board for his and Celestara’s sake.
“I’ve not co here to fight you, I promise,” Rael added.
“You know, for soone who is actively trying to steal my body, you sure are a shit manipulator,” Nyzzara said plainly.
“Get out of my body.
I have nothing to say to you.” “But I do.” Rael leaned in and whispered.
“That axe…
I can lead you to it.
I can even give you the rest of the code.
But of course, there’s a price for everything.” Nyzzara let out a sigh.
“I’m going to stick my axes up your ass if you don’t back off.” Rael wasn’t going to test his luck, so he took a few steps back and cleared his throat.
“I can lead you there.
All I ask of you is to sabotage these talks of rging your two countries,” Rael said plainly.
“If you do that, not only will I personally help you retrieve that axe, I will also make sure Ogarak gets what they need.” “Oh?
And what might that be?” Nyzzara asked with a scoff.
“How would soone who’s not a barbarian know what happens in barbarian lands?” “I know many things, Nyzzara,” Rael stated seriously.
“For one, I know your crops are dying.
Your people are dying of starvation.
That’s why you’re considering this rger in the first place, right?” Before she could answer, he continued.
“I’m not sure if you’re an official royal or an envoy.
But even if you try to make these talks seem fair, you can’t.
You’re the party who needs sothing, and Aztera is the party who can give you that certain sothing.” “It’s a risk we have to take for our people,” Nyzzara replied.
“We’re trying to gain as much freedom as possible in exchange for so of their lands.
All we offer in turn are our bodies that they can use for war.” “Okay.” Rael nodded.
“Now what if I could offer you your own lands, as well as soil that can make your crops grow?
In fact, I could get you cattle, fresh and clean water—everything that Ogarak is lacking.” Nyzzara narrowed her eyes.
“It sounds to like the situation you just described.
You’re the party that needs sothing, and we’re the party that can give you that certain sothing.” “You got .” Rael raised his arms.
“You see…
you allying with Aztera would be very troubleso for .
That’s why I wish to buy your cooperation with sothing that can actually benefit you.” He was definitely at a disadvantage here.
After all, they could just go ahead and sell themselves off for food, and then he’d be fucked.
However, if this woman stopped for a second and considered the fact that he might not be trying to rip her off, then they’d actually get sowhere.
“You say that, but how can you benefit us?” Nyzzara asked, tilting her head.
“You’re giving all these unbelievable offers, yet I have no clue who you are.” Guess that’s fair, Rael thought with a sigh as he reached for the mask on his face and took it off.
His hair color soon returned to platinum, and he stared at her with his piercing red eyes.
“My na is Rael Sutekh.
I’m the king of Celestara, and I want you to know that everything I’ve offered you wasn’t a joke.” Nyzzara’s brows twitched.
“You’re the king of a small city like Celestara?
And you expect to believe your demands?” “Yep.” Rael nodded.
“I might not sound very convincing, but this is your final chance, so make your choice.
Do you want to beco slaves, or do you want to pull out of the agreent and beco neutral?” It was likely that after Reinhardt and that other barbarian stopped fighting, they’d go right back to the talks.
After all, fighting was the barbarian way of talking.
This woman here was just an exception.
Or so he thought, but in the next mont, a flurry of axes appeared all around him, heading straight for his neck.
But without even panicking, Rael simply imagined distorting the space around himself, creating mini portals through which the axes would pass.
It cost a lot, but it did wonders as each of those axes traveled toward Nyzzara and struck the soft, grassy ground beneath her feet.
“I don’t play gas.
If you choose not to accept, I will walk away.
But if you do accept, then I will make sure my promises are fulfilled by the end of the month,” Rael said.
He took a few steps closer, once again getting within her personal space and staring straight into her brown eyes.
“Make your decision.”
