Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster Chapter 296: Healing, And A Miracle
Chapter 296: Healing, And A Miracle
Rael was on the bed, waiting for the kid to finish healing him.
The kid’s na was Julian, and he genuinely offered free healing services.
“Ouch…” Rael mumbled as Julian passed his healing skill over his lungs, restoring them, but causing considerable pain.
Still, Rael pushed through the pain and glanced to the side.
< 8 Free Stat Points>
Hmm… I have 27 free stat points now, Rael thought. As much as I’d like to put them into stats other than Constitution, I think my fighting style is way too masochistic already. Might as well be a tough masochist.
With that in mind, he adjusted his stats accordingly.
Free Stat Points: 27 → 0
Constitution: 53 ( 20) → 80 ( 20)
He imdiately felt the healing kick in as the pain in his lungs faded, replaced by a soothing sensation.
The silver claymore he got off the guy he killed was pretty overpowered, giving him extra stats.
And in the end, his stats looked like this:

Still no option to evolve my class, just what am I missing?
He was sure it would’ve popped up by now.
If not at level 10, then at level 20.
Level 25 was the last level where he had so hope, and now, he was fully expecting there to be so other way to evolve aside from reaching a set level.
1. Reach level 50. (Incomplete | 25 / 50)
2. Evolve your class once. (Incomplete)
3. Kill 1 human. (Completed)
He tried clicking on the Evolve your class once pop-up, and to his surprise, it actually showed.
1. Cause 250 people to slip. (Incomplete | 88 / 250)
2. Evade 100 projectiles without getting hit. (Incomplete | 9 / 100)
3. Use the Pocket Gremlin skill 5 tis. (Incomplete | 1 / 5)
Oh… I’m actually not that far off, eh? Rael thought, having decided one thing in particular.
None of these required actual combat situations, so he could just ask the siblings to throw stuff at him, and even slip them from ti to ti.
Basically, it was only a matter of ti until he could evolve his class.
He did feel a little stupid for not trying to press on it earlier, though.
Still…
“Thanks, I think that’s enough,” Rael said, slowly getting up.
Julian tilted his head. “Are you sure? I’m not done yet.”
“It’s fine, the rest will heal in a bit,” Rael replied plainly. “Instead, can you take a look at those two?”
Julian turned around, glancing at Jane, who was missing an eye, and Milos, who was missing an arm.
A mont later, he let out a sigh.
“Sir, I can only heal the girl. My healing powers are not strong enough to regrow an arm.”
That comnt made Jane flinch, but even so, one person being healed out of the two was not bad at all.
“Do whatever you can,” Rael instructed.
And with that, Julian got off the bed and walked over to Jane, placing his hand over her eye.
A warm energy coursed through his palm and entered Jane’s eyelid.
Then, a mont later, Rael watched her eye reform as the nerves and everything else were connected.
And within seconds, Julian was done.
Jane closed her eye as it began to twitch, but a mont later, she reopened it.
To Rael’s surprise, he saw sothing oddly familiar happen to her.
One of her eyes was blue, the sa one which hadn’t been destroyed.
Then the other, which had just been regrown, was silver, practically colorless.
Before Rael could wonder further, Julian spoke up.
“Um… I think because of the destruction of her eye, she lost the natural color pigntation… I don’t think I can restore the color, but your vision should be fine.”
Jane paused for a few monts, staring blankly into open space before nodding.
“Yes… it’s fine. You don’t need to worry about the color. I’ll just think of it as a war scar,” she said with a giggle, then bowed. “Thank you, Julian.”
A faint smile appeared on Julian’s face.
“It’s a pleasure, don’t worry… though I do have to apologize.”
Jane tilted her head. “What for?”
Julian lowered his head, as if in sha. “I… The only reason I ca here was to put you two to sleep so the thugs outside could kill you.”
“Don’t worry about those n, I dealt with them,” Rael stated. “And it’s fine, don’t let it weigh on your conscience. You’re just a kid. They manipulated you.”
Julian’s brows furrowed. “I’m 18. I’m not a kid. And it wasn’t manipulation… it was more like a threat. If I didn’t do what they said, they would’ve killed .”
This pipsqueak is 18? No fucking way, Rael thought, not showing it on his face.
“Midget…” Milos muttered, then swiftly covered his mouth.
“…”
Julian let out a sigh.
“It’s fine, I used to get that a lot in the field of dicine,” he said plainly. “You see, people tend to hate it when soone younger outperforms them in every way. That was pretty much my whole life, so I’m honestly glad the world ended, since at least now, I won’t have to worry about my peers putting laxatives in my coffee before an important surgery.”
“Woah, dude… that’s a little fucked up,” Rael remarked, trying his best not to laugh.
Julian shrugged. “Though I really wish I could’ve seen the miracle that happened just before the world ended.”
Rael tilted his head. “What miracle is that?”
“A patient that had been in a coma for nearly 15 years had woken up. She had miraculously survived a plane crash, and she was basically the golden child all of us doctors were taking care of,” Julian replied with a slight smile.
A dull headache began gnawing at Rael as he grabbed his forehead, letting out a groan.
That description was eerily familiar, yet he couldn’t piece it together no matter how much he tried.
Rael t Julian’s gaze as he began rubbing his temples, trying to ease the headache.
Yet it didn’t pass, and neither did the feeling of familiarity.
It’s like a wall… a mory block maybe? Rael wondered as a determined look appeared on his face.
“Hey… you don’t happen to know her na, do you?”
