The mont the last of the pop-ups fell, Rael saw a thin blue halo erge above the heads of Maria, Rain, and Alisa.

Further ahead, 3 more people received orange halos, and the last group of 3 received green halos.

They were all the Chosen Heroes, and thankfully, Rael didn’t recognize any of them.

"So, uhh... what do we do?" Maria mused. "The green beans have over a hundred people. They’re definitely going to fight to survive."

"Then why don’t you go ahead and mind control them?" Rain suggested with a scoff. "It wouldn’t be the first ti you controlled innocent masses, right?"

"True." Maria nodded playfully before turning to Alisa. "I should do that, shouldn’t I? Hey, your na is Alisa, right? I saw that you used to be a gymnast. You failed pretty miserably, but at least you have the reflexes. Still, can you go ahead and kill those with the orange halos? They don’t have many people, just like us, and they seem pretty weak."

Alisa’s expression darkened. "You saw into my mind?"

"A neat trick of mine, yes," Maria replied. "Don’t worry, I won’t tell them about the fact that you ’accidentally’ poisoned your opponents to win the nationals... whoops?"

Alisa lunged at Maria but was stopped by Julian.

"Y-You bitch! How dare you!" Alisa yelled. "Just know this... when we win, I’m going to find you and kill you."

"Sa," Rain chid in.

Yet when they turned toward Rael for input, he was already gone.

In fact, he had made his way over to Orange team and stood right behind them.

They seed scrawny at a glance, but their strength was definitely nothing to scoff at.

At least, for everyone but Rael.

Two of them were mages, while the last one was a tank.

I assu he’s hiding his armor, Rael thought. No way would my instincts tell I wouldn’t be able to instantly kill this guy otherwise.

Still, for the sake of being sportsmanlike, he reappeared beside them and coughed.

"Hey. It’s a—"

His words were interrupted by a volley of spells shooting his way.

Rael’s eyes widened. These two mages can instantly cast their spells...? Fuck, that’s broken.

Even so, Rael entered the Soul Realm at the last mont, approached one of the mages, and wrapped his arms around the mage’s neck.

He exited the Soul Realm and then simply tightened his grip, causing a loud crack to resound throughout the air as one of the mages dropped to the ground, lifeless.

That wasn’t difficult at all, Rael thought with a slight frown.

It seed like people still hadn’t found a way to counter his Soul Realm strategy.

Of course, the skill wasn’t omnipotent. He could at most enter and exit the Soul Realm 3 or 4 tis before suffering side effects.

He didn’t know what those side effects were. He never went beyond his limits, though he rembered feeling dizzy, and his mana was being drained rapidly on his 4th ti exiting the Soul Realm.

Rael brought his gaze toward the remaining two heroes.

And of course, he used one of his new main damage skills.

A much larger scythe appeared, heading for them.

Yet just as it was about to pierce through the tank, the mage waved his hand in the air, canceling Rael’s skill.

Huh... that’s also overpowered.

Still, Rael didn’t panic as he unsheathed his sword, aiming it right at them.

"You know... I was going to propose an alliance of sorts. But oh well, that’s too late now," Rael said plainly.

"An alliance? In this place?" the mage scoffed. "Don’t you see all these beings gathered around, watching us like we are so kind of guinea pigs?"

"So?" Rael tilted his head. "Even if they are watching us like guinea pigs, why would that stop us from allying?"

The mage’s gaze sharpened, but before he could speak up, the tank spoke up instead.

"He’s a religious bloke, don’t mind him. And yes, we would’ve been open to allying. However, you ruined that by killing Frederick."

"I see..." Rael sighed. "So be it then."

The mont Rael finished his words, he entered the Soul Realm, and without even wasting a single mont, reappeared behind the tank.

Since both of them were expecting the mage to be attacked, they let their guard down.

And because of that, Rael exited the Soul Realm and stabbed his sword straight through the tank’s neck.

There was so resistance, but his Soulhook skill countered it as it executed enemies below 10% HP.

He raised his hands, creating a shield. But that didn’t stop Rael. He threw the sword with full strength, fracturing the shield and driving the sword into the mage’s heart.

After all, it took Rael less than 30 seconds to kill every single one of them.

Rael crouched down and retrieved his sword before taking a glance toward Green team.
