Rael crouched down and pressed the button.

In the very next instant, he felt a gust of wind brush past him, followed by a miniature blue beam leaving the box and heading straight for the skies.

Just as he thought sothing had gone wrong, the beam halted, and like a do, spread outwards, covering an area of several hundred ters.

Finally, the do reached the ground.

Rael nodded and walked over to Lilith and Nyzza.

And just like that, the do lit up, obscuring his vision from the outside.

But re monts later, the light inside the do died down, revealing a surprising sight.

There was now an entire village in front of him. It was much better looking than the previous 2 villages combined.

And I did select nomad... so why exactly does it look so... modern? Rael pondered.

The tents were massive. Made of reinforced black fabric stretched over tal fras, they looked more like portable buildings than anything temporary. Each had a square base, wide entrances, and faintly glowing lanterns on the sides. So had chimneys, others small satellite dishes.

Out of curiosity, he entered one of the tents, and to his surprise, the inside was far larger than he expected.

It was almost like a pocket dinsion, where on the inside, everything was several dozen tis larger.

And that was when he realized that the 250 residents per tent was not just a typo, but actually sothing that was possible.

12,500 people per village. That’s not bad at all.

Nevertheless, he glanced back at Nyzzara, who simply stood there, frozen.

"Well, that’s the village repaired. Now for the rules."

With that, he flapped his mosquito wings and arrived in front of the barbarians who had been evacuated.

He hovered just above them, then spoke.

"I want you all to get settled into your new village. Do so now."

His voice was cold and authoritative, not giving the others even a single chance to respond.

So with slight fear and reluctance, they made their way into the village.

At first, there was bad blood between the villagers, but little by little, the improved living quarters changed their minds.

But despite the change of heart, they separated the people based on their marks, even if Nyzzara abolished the system.

Still...

"These tents... they’re bigger on the inside?"

"I could get used to this..."

"Still not trusting those outsiders, but this place’s way nicer than my old hut."

A faint smile appeared on Rael’s face. I can work with this.

"Nyzzara, how many villages are there in total?" Rael asked.

She snapped out of her daze. "Twenty-five. My guess is... the other villages had a similar reaction."

After taking a brief mont to compose herself, hints of her old personality slipped out.

"I don’t understand why these bastards are unhappy." She scoffed. "They literally encouraged to make so changes if I wanted to stay as the chieftain, but after I did that, everyone rebelled. At what point do I just go ahead and beat everyone into submission?"

"What about your brother?" Rael tilted his head. "Couldn’t he have dealt with the boring stuff instead of you?"

"I told him to do it, but he ran off with his wife," Nyzzara replied with a sigh. "Yeah, that bastard got married shortly after I killed our father. And now I have no clue where he is. He isn’t even replying to my ssages."

Ouch...

"Sucks to be you," Lilith chid in. "But have you ever taken a step back and thought that maybe the reason why everyone rebelled stems from the fact that you made a poor decision?"

Before Nyzzara could reply, Lilith continued. "For starters, why change tradition? Instead of building off what already exists, you completely removed what made the barbarians who they were."

It made sense, and Rael agreed. However, given that the changes had already been made, he needed to work around them.

After a few minutes of senseless arguing, Rael approached the village once more and clapped his hands, causing a sonic boom to resound once again.

That got everyone’s attention. They stepped out of their tents and gathered where he stood, beside a fountain topped with a beautiful angel statue spouting water.

He approached the angel statue, then glanced at the barbarians.

"Once again, I’m taking over due to a certain set of rules that have been introduced. Your lives will change drastically, and I am not going to take ’No’ for an answer," Rael said, pointing at a few bulky people in particular.

"You four, step up."

A mont later, they stepped up.

Two n and two won. They seed a little malnourished, but the reason he chose them in the first place was because of their ranks.

One man had a single mark on his head, the other had four marks. As for the won, one had two marks, the other, three.

Their forr statuses were diverse, and they normally wouldn’t get along. It was clear from the way they behaved around each other, but Rael was going to change that now.

"You have a lot of people who can fight. That’s good, so I’d like to establish a new set of rules."

Rael cleared his throat.

"For starters, I want your group to clear at least three or four dungeons per week. All the loot you find in there, you sell to . Understood?"

The man with a single mark raised his hand.

"And if we don’t clear the dungeons? What are you going to do? Kill us?"

Rael tilted his head. "You could interpret it that way, yes."

He raised a single finger. "If you sell items to , I can buy you food. Think of it as a trade, and if one party doesn’t fulfill their end, then naturally, the deal can’t continue, right?"

Rael let out a chuckle. "So yes, you will die. Not from , but from hunger. All because you were too lazy and afraid to move your asses."

Still, that was only the tip of the iceberg, as Rael still had plenty he wanted to say.
