Rael whistled to himself as he descended the mountain range. He fell a couple of tis like an idiot but got back up quickly.

"Sorry. Bad timing, huh?" Rael chuckled. "I swear I’m just a rchant."

The soldier scoffed. "So where are your carriages filled with wares? Do you intend to sell only what you have inside your inventory? You should know that is not going to work, young man."

"You’d be surprised what I can do with what’s inside my inventory," Rael replied with a smile. "So co on, just let through."

Before the soldier could reply, Rael acted as if he were reaching into his inventory, when in reality, he entered the Premium Shop, and soon bought a bottle of whiskey.

He made it seem as though he had pulled it out of his inventory before holding it in front of the soldier.

"Here you go, there’s plenty more where that ca from, and if you happen to find whilst I’m out selling my wares, I’m willing to give you another bottle for free."

Of course, it was the usual bribe strategy. It worked last ti he was in the Depths when he had to enter that settlent, so why not now? After all, these people did look like pirates.

And as expected, the soldier looked around a few tis, then grabbed the bottle from Rael’s hands and stashed it away inside his inventory.

Then, without even saying another word, he left, returning to the rest of the soldiers who were still dealing with the landslide.

As for Rael, he leisurely walked toward the city once again, entering through a stone gate that was completely unmanned.
