Rael’s vision returned within a few seconds. The mont it did, he was t with a surprisingly beautiful sight.

The sky was a pale li color, riddled with an endless array of stars. They ca in all shapes and sizes, casting light across the entire realm. The ground was soft, covered in multicolored grass. It resembled the view he had seen right before entering the Silver Willow Tree.

The area was surprisingly silent, except for the distant sound of rustling leaves and water striking the ground. Yet no matter where he looked, he couldn’t see a single waterfall.

It was neither warm nor cold. In fact, it was the perfect temperature.

Not only that, there were thousands of willow trees scattered around, with lakes surrounding them. All of them were different colors, but in the faraway distance there was a single Silver Willow Tree. It was the sa one Rael had just entered through, but it was many tis larger, towering over every single willow tree present.

Although he was a bit confused by the tree literally inviting him, he was satisfied nonetheless. He would be killing two birds with one stone. et Lucien, then find the reward Kareth had in mind.

Lucien better not be the reward... That would just be a little... I don’t swing that way.

Anyhow, the scent of lavender hit his nose, and a mont later a certain wave of heat burned the sll away, leaving him slling absolutely nothing. Of course, the dumb phoenix was responsible for doing that.

"What a neat place. I would definitely take a nap here if these bastards weren’t trying to invade my mind," Vatyra remarked.

He was confused for a mont, but once his gaze locked onto one of the willow trees by the side, he soon realized what she was talking about.

A soothing whistle resounded from the tree, and every ti the pitch heightened, he felt a portion of his mories being altered.

He hadn’t felt this way when Lucien did it. However, it was clear now, almost as if he had gotten a certain immunity to mory altering.

Though...

These cocksucking trees are trying to erase the mory of my sister? Really?

Safe to say, these trees were a bunch of idiots and he didn’t even need to think too hard to get rid of their influence.

So long as he was aware that it was happening, they couldn’t alter his mories.

But with that behind him, he turned back to Vatyra. "What now?"

"Huh? You led here," Vatyra replied, baffled. "Acting like I’m supposed to know what this place is... Tsk."

Rael raised a brow. "You’ve never been here?"

"Nope. We Supre Monsters don’t exactly go down to our own continents that often," Vatyra said absentmindedly. "Life up above is a bit nicer."

"Aha..." Rael nodded slowly. "On that topic... What are the Far Lands?"

"Not telling you." Vatyra scoffed. "Just ’cause I’m acting nice doesn’t an I’ll spill our secrets."

Rael smiled before shrugging. "Worth a shot. Anyways, let’s go toward the Silver Willow Tree, I guess? It did invite us here."

She looked at him, annoyed. Clearly, she had no intention of staying around. She just wanted to teach him the technique and be on her rry way. However, his persistence was sothing even she couldn’t overco.

And it’s not like she can kill now. Kareth designated as his successor. Not officially, but it’s pretty damn close.

With each step they took, the ground hardened, and the influence those willow trees had on his mind increased. But of course, he didn’t care much, since by now he was passively warding off their influence.

However, when they were only a few hundred ters away from the Silver Willow Tree, a figure erged from a nearby pond.

It was a silver-haired woman with a blindfold. She was fairly skinny and wore a black ceremonial dress. Rather, it looked like she was dressed for a funeral.

Rael tried inspecting her, but to his surprise,he couldn’t.

From Vatyra’s slight groan, he figured she knew who the woman was. But, alas, he didn’t need to wonder for long, as the woman finally spoke.

"I am Sylvia, the guardian of the Silver Willow Tree. It’s a pleasure to welco you two to the Willow Realm." Sylvia bowed curtly.

"Willow Realm...?" Rael mumbled. "A realm for trees?"

"For concepts," Sylvia corrected. "The number of realms that exist is only to be interpreted by your vast imagination. Nonetheless, I wish you two would accompany ."

"Tsk... All you guardians look the sa." Vatyra clicked her tongue. "You should’ve gained independence after the ancient primordials were killed, so what’s with this obedience act?"

Sylvia halted, turning toward Vatyra and flashing a slight smile.

"You have insufficient authority to request that information."

"Hmm?" Rael picked up on her words imdiately.

That’s exactly what my system says whenever I try to ask it so serious questions...? Is this a coincidence? Rael wondered.

But if he learned anything across his ti spent in this new world, then nothing that happened to him was a coincidence.

So whatever this system thing is, it’s connected to the ancient primordials? I’ll have to go buy a textbook about them after I’m done here in the Depths... Really need to get Chop-E too. Can’t forget him.

Of course, it didn’t really hurt to ask the two very wise people before him.

"Who are the ancient primordials?"

"You have insufficient authority to request that information."

"Group of old bastards who get a boner from turning mortal worlds into playgrounds." Vatyra scoffed. "They’re all dead now though."

"Were they strong?"

"Indeed. Very strong." Vatyra chuckled, then raised a single finger, pointing it at his face. "Now enough with the questionnaire. You keep sounding more and more like a stupid dragon."

Rael rolled his eyes, but he did appreciate her honesty. It seed like she was pretty open to talking about things that didn’t directly relate to the Depths.

But for the ti being, he put his curiosity aside and nodded at Sylvia who, despite her blindfold, could see clearly.

"Since we are already here, we’ll accompany you."
