Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster Chapter 561 - Capítulo 561: Turning Point [ 3 ]
Capítulo 561: Turning Point [ 3 ]
Rael ignored him.
“If you had the chance to start over, would you take it?”
Aston scoffed.
“Philosophy doesn’t flatter . If you’re going to kill , then just get on with it.”
But Rael was adamant.
“Humor .”
“Listen, I don’t care—”
Another spark of light left Rael’s fingers, only this ti it was more violent. It blew up Aston’s eyeball, and before long, his left lung had failed as well.
He gasped for air, but to no avail, until eventually, Rael showed him rcy and healed him once again.
“Answer my question,” Rael said calmly.
Aston stared at him as though he was so spawn of Satan, but seeing no way out of it, he indulged Rael.
“Tsk… If I had my mories, then sure, I would definitely restart. Who wouldn’t? I’d just start my businesses up sooner, and I’d invest my money into better stocks. Retiring before even coming of age would be a nice start to life.”
“…”
Rael put a hand over his chin.
“So if I restart your life, you would beco the man you are today. If I give you a second chance with mories, you would beco an even worse man than you are now. Honestly… it was stupid of to think I could give you a normal death.”
“What—”
Before Aston could reply, Rael grabbed him by the neck, then swung his other arm downward, shattering an entire section of the brothel, rubble raining onto the streets below.
Rael held onto Aston’s neck tightly as he took a few calm steps toward the broken wall, and then walked on air.
It consud a lot of mana, but for so reason, his mana consumption began to decrease, almost as if his body was growing accustod to it. Or maybe…
Rael continued walking through the air, and eventually, he arrived above the center of Seoul. It was peaceful. Almost painfully so.
[..el!]
People huddled in pairs, cars stopped at red lights. Bikers, and even storekeepers, all chatting about. Honestly, sowhere deep down, he wished he could return to this world and act like nothing had ever happened.
But the other part wanted nothing else to do with this world.
[…!]
[…!!!]
When was the last ti he had experienced such silence?
His body began to glow in an unnatural light as the space around him cracked further. Beyond the cracks, he saw thousands of eyes staring at him. Most looked at him in contempt, while so stared at him with reverence.
The eyes wandered ever closer to the cracks, while a few tried to pass through. However, Rael’s oppressiveness kept them at bay, and so did the fact that his mana had begun to leak.
It was an enormous amount of mana, much more than he had entered this world with, and definitely much more than he had only monts prior.
He felt strength coursing through his body like always, and so, after taking a calm, deep breath, Rael extended his arm with Aston still squirming in his grasp.
“Had I known what you had done, I wouldn’t have gone through such theatrics.”
Rael’s body began to glow in a golden light, turning slightly white from the distortion of the space around him.
“I have nothing more I want to tell you, and I just wish we get the chance to et again, so I can kill you once more.”
With those final words, Rael tightened his grip on Aston’s throat, killing him in an instant.
As Rael let go of Aston’s body, he was t with a few system pop-ups in front of him.
With every new pop-up, Rael felt his strength increasing further.
Yet, with the death of Aston ca a mont of clarity.
He had just killed the man who had ruined his life.
But now, as Rael glanced all around him, he realized the situation he had just gotten himself into.
Moreover…
[…ael!]
[Rael!]
“I hear you, Gaia.”
Gaia exhaled an exhausted breath. [You can hear , you say? I have been calling out to you for the last five minutes! Do you realize what you’ve just done?]
Rael sighed. “I can take a guess.”
After a brief mont, he added, “This is before the apocalypse that I experienced in the mory record, isn’t it?”
The glowing man in the sky above Seoul. Despite what he had thought earlier… there was a very high chance that it was him back then as well.
[I told you what would happen if you used your mana in this world. You’d trigger a global awakening… But with how much power you have, and with how fragile this world is—]
“It would be destroyed,” Rael finished.
[Indeed it would be. And it’s too late to leave now,] Gaia said. [A person who deals in negative emotions had just succumbed to them. Rael… I know it was shocking to hear, but you mustn’t ever lose your composure like this again.]
“…”
[I won’t bla you or scold you. The damage has already been done, and from the rate at which your mana is gathering, I believe the world is soon going to explode from the pressure,] she added.
Rael nodded slowly. “Even if the tiline is ssed up, and this should’ve happened 10 years later… I rember that the glowing white figure snapped their fingers before vanishing. What could I…”
[Ti…]
“Hm?”
[You’ve just practiced the Law of Ti. Use it,] Gaia insisted. [Listen… the world itself is unstable, but if you manage to stabilize its core, then it should—]
“If I stop ti for this entire world, then not everyone will die, is what you’re saying.” Rael sighed, lowering his gaze and turning away from the now-thousands of eyeballs that glared at him.
[Yes, but… you should know better that with your current amount of mana, it might be possible to cover the entire world in mana, but it would not be sustainable. Your mana would run out after just a few hundred years, if not sooner. That’s accounting for your mana regeneration and the potions you’ll have to buy.]
“I an… don’t get wrong, but in those few hundred years, I’m likely going to be billions of tis stronger than I am now.”
[But right now, you aren’t. So don’t do anything reckless,] Gaia warned. [I know what you’re thinking: Oh, I’ll just cover it all, and in a few months, I’ll have so much mana that I can do it effortlessly. No. No, you won’t. You have Solenne to worry about, and if you are constantly out of mana… then…]
Hearing the worry in her voice, Rael fell silent.
So this was the decision that the other being had to face? Well, it’s not a very hard decision to begin with.
After all, Altros was here, and so was his sister.
He had no one else.
Therefore, having made up his mind, Rael took a deep breath and drew upon more DTP from his main body.
The space crackled, and the eyes began to retaliate, bumping into him. He felt prickly, and his mind felt fuzzy. But he knew for a fact that these little imps were not doing anything to his mind.
Just in case, Rael decided to wave his hand. In one fell swoop, all the cracks that had surrounded him shattered, turning the night sky bright and illuminating him as the sole figure in the sky.
Then, after gathering as much DTP as he could, he focused his perception on the entirety of Seoul, and Rael finally snapped his fingers.
A powerful pulse left his body, freezing the birds, helicopters, and even planes in an instant. Soon after, the cars roaming the streets halted as well, and lastly, the people.
