The Faceless One glanced between the glass and Rael's eyes, an amused look on his face.

"I accept your proposal."

"I'm glad. Here I thought you would choose the long route," Rael chuckled as he downed the entire glass of alcohol. "Anyways, what will you na your organization this ti? In the future, you nad it Everdawn."

"Also..." Rael continued. "Can I call you by your na?"

The Faceless One nodded. "You may call Zareth." He turned to Linlin. "You too, girl, I allow you to use my na without facing repercussions."

"Your skill is creepy..." Linlin muttered before continuing to eat.

She couldn't exactly chi in on the conversation, as half the stuff they were talking about didn't make sense to outsiders.

"Let's see... Everdawn is a nice na, but in commoration, how about I na it sothing along the lines of Synthex?" Zareth said. "I believe it portrays the essence of my ideals perfectly."

"If that's what you think, then go ahead." Rael shrugged. "I'm not the best when it cos to naming stuff."

"Hmm..." Zareth trailed off as he turned serious. "From this day forth, my organization's na will be Synthex. And since I'll need to set up a lot of stuff, may I take my leave?"

"Zareth." Rael let out a sigh. "Even though I'm recruiting you, think of it as a mutual exchange. We're partners of similar standing now, so just do whatever you want. I'll see you back in Celestara."

"I see..." A smile tugged at Zareth's lips. "I shall wait for you back in Celestara. Goodbye to both of you."

However, just as Zareth was about to leave, a particular request popped up inside his mind.

"Zareth, wait a second." Rael stopped him. "Can you look into Seraphina Ardent and Thalric Ardent? I need to know how they died."

"Is this a personal matter?" Zareth asked, and Rael nodded.

"Sort of. It ties in with Celestara, so I'd appreciate it if you could help here."

"Very well..." Zareth nodded. "I'll be staying in this city for one more day, then. I'll have the information ready for you by midnight tomorrow."

With that, Zareth exited the room, and Rael imdiately heaved a relieved sigh.

"That was close," he expressed as he slumped down on the bed. "If I had said a single wrong word, he would've stood up and left."

Even though he was talking to himself, Linlin didn't speak up, which prompted him to turn to her in confusion.

"You'd usually call out on sothing—what's up?" Rael asked.

"Can you tell what happens to Radiant Dawn...?" Linlin muttered, turning to him. "I don't have lie-telling abilities like that guy, but could you tell the truth?"

Rael tilted his head. "You live. I'll tell you the full story when you finally open up to and tell why you actually ford the group."

I'm a bit surprised she isn't asking about my future knowledge, but oh well, it's not like I would tell her. He chuckled inwardly

"I see..." She lay down on the bed and turned her head around. "I'm going to sleep. Good night."

Not even a snarky remark? Is it that ti of the month or sothing? Rael mused as he crawled toward the pillows and snuggled up.

He decided to close his eyes for a mont, but before he knew it, he fell fast asleep.

***

It was now morning.

That was only natural to assu, as the sun was in the sky right above him.

The problem? He was indoors.

Linlin was standing in front of his bed with her green threads readied and scattered around the entire room.

"Care to fill in on what the fuck is going on?" Rael asked calmly.

"Soone is attacking," Linlin replied with a shrug. "A small purple rock fell through the ceiling a mont ago. I caught it, but I can't tell who threw it."

"Hmm..." Rael humd as his gaze traveled to Linlin's back.

But he noticed sothing interesting.

"Should I start calling you the nudist girl again?"

"Shut up..." Linlin shot back. "I took my bra off since it was uncomfortable to sleep in. Now shush, the enemies might hear you."

"Sure, sure." Rael stood up from the bed, dusted himself off, and began walking to the door.

"What are you doing? Get back—"

He cut her words off by swinging the doors open.

The mont he did, he was t by the sll of smoke, and the sight of servants running around in panic.

"Well, the good news is that we're not the only ones who got attacked," Rael remarked, as Linlin ca up behind him.

However, before she could get in front, he stopped her.

"You sweat in your sleep."

Her cheeks flushed red as she imdiately understood what he ant.

She didn't hesitate to run over to her bed, grab her black bra, and head into the bathroom.

In the anti, Rael decided to get a head start as he made his way to where the people were gathered because of the commotion.

The mont he arrived, he noticed a massive purple shard embedded into the ground, oozing so purple energy.

So this is the party incentive event, huh? He focused on the shard, and a system notification soon appeared.

People have to gather in groups, go into dungeons, and kill monsters until one of them drops a Starfall Core, Rael recalled.

The funny thing about this event was that the developers ssed it up, making the cores have such a low drop rate that even after 7 whole days, the players only managed to drop 8 of them.

On the other hand...

•—Premium Shop—•

Category: Miscellaneous/Event/Starfall

•—Balance: 411,342 Trell—•

• Starfall Core (Common): 25,000 Trell

"Pfft..." Rael held back a laugh as he went ahead and bought 10 of the cores.

Soon, 10 small purple beads appeared in his palm, and despite the worried looks of all the people present, Rael walked toward the massive shard, a confident look on his face.

The shard began reacting to him—especially the cores he held in his hand—when all of a sudden, all 10 of them flew out and were imdiately absorbed into the shard.

Nothing happened for a few seconds, which made him raise a brow.

Did these fuckers just scam out of 250,000 Trell?

However, the purple shard suddenly lit up, before turning completely red.

Then, a single notification popped up, making his eyes widen.
