“I welco you all to yet another ceremony! I’m sure most of you have placed your bets on who will win, or who will perish first. However, I have decided to open up the bets once again.”

Turning toward Rael and a few other demons, Johan smiled.

“Would anyone like to enter the ceremony now? I am only looking for serious entries, and so if there aren’t any, we’ll proceed with the previous line-up.”

Just like that, he fell silent for a few monts.

A certain group of demons saw this as their opportunity to shine, so they imdiately stood up.

They flashed their muscles and also radiated a little bit of their mana, making sure the Demon King noticed them.

He obviously noticed that, and yet…

“I said serious entries. I don’t want a bunch of Grade 2 weaklings entering and then being killed before the round can even start.”

Yikes…

On the flip side, Rael was a Grade 3, so it kind of worked out.

He was just barely at the cut-off range.

Nonetheless, aside from those goofballs, a few actual entries stood up, and so were even fairly powerful.

Rael spotted that Lilith was also itching to stand, but after flicking her on the forehead, he stopped her dead in her tracks.

“Co on… I’d be fighting in my strength bracket, wouldn’t I? What’s the danger in that?”

Hearing her words, Rael flicked her on the forehead once again and finally stood up.

Even though he didn’t look like the strongest and his Grade was low, Johan simply nodded at him, accepting his entry.

For the next couple of minutes, more and more entries ca and went. Naturally, the expected amount of people to participate increased by so much the rules would have to change as well.

Nonetheless, with so many people now present, Johan finally clapped his hands, causing everyone who wanted to try their luck and stand up to suddenly halt.

As for the ones who stood, they were abruptly teleported down to the arena below, including Rael.

To his surprise, out of the many people who looked like they got accepted, only a handful were personally selected.

In fact, there were only 10 including Rael.

Way less than he expected.

“Since the ten of you aren’t exactly officially in the tournant, I have a little ga you can play.”

Johan snapped his fingers again.

This ti, Rael was teleported to the edge of the arena.

When he looked around, he realized that every single person was also on the edge, except they were all distanced from each other.

Rael didn’t need to be a genius to realize what Johan was about to say next.

“I only need half of you. So in case you don’t understand, I want you to kill each other until there’s only five of you left. You have five minutes.”

The mont he finished speaking, the whole arena turned silent.

Even the cheers of the crowd muted for a second.

But that was because Rael had frozen ti.

Out of the ten people here, the strongest was a Grade 6.

Obviously, he wasn’t that big of a problem, except it seed like he also had so mastery over the Law of Ti.

He moved freely and then glanced over at Rael.

At first, Rael thought of just killing him, but before he knew it, the guy went ahead and slit the throat of the demon closest to him.

So while that was happening, Rael proceeded ahead and slashed the neck of the one closest to him, and then again.

Within just a few seconds, five demons were dead, and as Johan said, that was enough.

So for him to give a ti limit of five minutes and not end it when the requirents were t, that ant he had sothing else planned.

And of course, that sothing else was to dwindle the numbers even further.

Rael was about to slash the neck of another demon when all of a sudden, the one in front of him exuded a bunch of mana at once, breaking the ti stop.

That was also when the sa demon threw a punch, which of course Rael dodged effortlessly.

He might not have his ti stop to deal with the basic stuff, but he could see five seconds into the future at all tis.

As long as soone was similar in power to him, he was invincible.

Therefore, as the punches kept coming and going, Rael eventually got tired of it all and decided to simply end the fight.

Crouching under the attack of the demon, Rael went ahead and struck the demon across the neck, lopping it clean off.

Not only that, as his neck floated in the sky, Rael went ahead and took a single step forward, then another.

The gravity had begun to increase for the demon, and after just ten steps, the demon had turned to mush completely.

So as he lay on the ground with his demonic core laying around, Rael simply went ahead and stomped it, destroying it instantly.

Just like that, and the rest of the demons he had killed a few monts ago, Gluttony triggered, giving him a decent chunk of stats which he was going to check out later.

But by now, Rael was satisfied with how his power progressed.

The issue of HP was still there, since normally the crushing attack would’ve been enough to deal with the demon.

But alas, he needed to stomp it as well.

Regardless of that though, when he glanced to the side, he spotted that the Grade 6 demon had already killed the remaining demons here.

And now, it was only the two of them standing against each other.

Although Rael didn’t want to fight him just yet, the demon had other plans as it suddenly lunged at him.
