"Is sothing wrong, Rael?"

Turning toward Gaia’s voice, he simply flashed a smile.

"It’s nothing. I guess, despite you being the one to regain your mories, I’m finding it more difficult to process everything."

Gaia just stared at him for a mont, then let out a sigh.

"Don’t think you need to treat differently just because I have my mories now. Treat as you’ve always done."

"How can I?" Rael mumbled. "You’re not the sa as you’ve always been."

It did sound a little corny.

But then again, it was a real concern.

A genuine concern.

She acted so nonchalantly, he could almost believe her.

But he couldn’t.

And noticing that, Gaia just walked up to him and sat down.

"Rael. You might not want to believe it, but my life has been a very boring one. All my life, I’ve been a spectator. I know many things, but I have very rarely experienced anything. If you count just the years that I’ve not been a spectator, I’d only be around 10,000 years old."

With those words, she t his gaze.

She wore a soft expression that he rembered very well.

"So again, don’t treat any differently, because I won’t be treating you differently either."

Hearing that, Rael let out a sigh.

It seed like he was worried about the wrong things.

Even if Gaia was wiser now, she was still Gaia.

A very, very smart Gaia.

Nonetheless, since he had sorted out the imdiate problems, Rael decided to finally take his leave.

When he reopened his eyes, he was still in bed, but by how bright the sky was, it was already likely dayti.

Did he really spend that much ti inside the Mind Realm that the sun had co up?

If he had slept for 8 hours, then he spent nearly 29,000 years inside the Mind Realm.

He really did suck at tracking ti, huh.

Regardless of that, since he didn’t want to be too late for whatever was going to happen, he turned to the side and glanced at Lilith, who had taken her top off soti during the night and was now sleeping with his right arm in between her breasts.

Really...

Should he just go back to sleep?

No.

He needed to reinforce his restraint, because whenever he was with her, he never knew when he could lose himself.

So after nudging her a few tis, she finally woke up.

"Hmm~? Good morning..."

"Don’t good morning ," Rael replied, rolling his eyes. "We’re late again. Dress up and let’s go."

Lilith pouted slightly, but got dressed nevertheless.

Then, after having so breakfast, the two of them flew back to the capital, and as expected, there was a massive arena once again in the very center of the city.

Rael felt a little apologetic toward Johan.

Only for a mont though.

The two of them carefully descended into the crowded arena and landed right beside Johan and the other contestants, all of whom stared at the two of them with hateful glares.

Johan was not that pissed though.

"I’m glad you could make it. We’ve been waiting for you," Johan said sarcastically.

Rael chuckled, but before he could say anything, Johan continued:

"Since I already expected you to be late, I decided to switch up the match a little. The last match will not be a deathmatch. That ans while you can kill each other, that’s not necessarily the only way to pass."

He glanced at each of the contestants.

"Three of you are my children, one of you is my son-in-law, and lastly... Your na is William, yes?"

Oh.

That guy was still alive.

William was the demon Rael had fought in the first round.

He was surprisingly strong for his Grade.

Even so, William promptly nodded at Johan and showed his respect.

"Yes, Demon King."

Johan smiled slightly.

"I was friends with your father once. I was very saddened when he perished in the war. Though I am also very glad he managed to elope with his wife and have you, William."

William’s hands trembled slightly.

"Thank you, Demon King."

What a dry response.

It was the sa as going on a talent show and then saying you can clap really fast.

No one really gives a shit.

But oh well, if William wanted to stay as a nobody without showing any signs of having wit, then so be it.

"Very well, I’ll explain the rules of the final match then."

Johan glanced at each one of them again.

"I have thought long and hard for this match. The concept, however, is very simple."

He raised a single finger.

"Every single one of you will have to learn one technique. It is not a random technique, nor is it sothing that would co naturally to any of you."

"The technique is simple."

Without saying another word, he simply took a step forward.

However, Rael imdiately noticed that sothing was off.

Johan was both there and not there at the sa ti.

It kind of reminded him of Lucien, except that this thod was more trippy.

He could just barely track Johan’s figure until finally, Johan vanished completely.

But as Rael had that thought, soone tapped him on the shoulder.

Turning around, he was t with the smiling Johan.

"You were the only one who managed to track for that long. Congratulations, you have potential."

"..."

He walked back to the place he had been in earlier and summoned a chair before finally sitting down.

All of the contestants stared at him, waiting for so guidance.

After all, this technique or whatever it was was just too hard to comprehend at a glance.

But with Johan not saying a single word, they all realized where this match was heading toward.

"The match starts now. Good luck, everyone."

Seriously?

So what were the rules then?

We just had to learn this, and then what?

The first one to get it wins?

What about the killing bit? Could we kill each other to not have to deal with this hassle?

More importantly, was there a ti limit?

Rael grumbled in frustration and before long decided to simply sit down on the ground and enter his Prophetic Realm.

No good would co out of fighting the others, since they might just gang up on him in the end.

Even if he could use Reili like a human shield, he just didn’t feel like it was worth it.

So instead, why not just learn the technique?
