Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster Chapter 718: The Portal Down
Ever since Burger reminded him of his immortality that he might or might not have slightly forgotten, Rael’s path ahead turned pretty uncontested.
And so, within just a few seconds, he reached Victoria’s throne room and noticed her inside, talking to soone.
She had a frown on her face.
But after a brief mont, that frown turned into a smile.
Just then, a portal manifested in front of her, containing vivid and beautiful colors, all of which kind of stunned Rael for a mont.
It almost made him forget that he was still being attacked by the whole Fate Dragon race.
[Honestly, I can kind of understand,] Burger chid in. [You fought beings who can bypass this immortality of yours, and now you’re fighting those who can’t. I guess your ti inside the Spirit Realm might be easier than one would expect.]
Any tips for when I go in? Rael asked.
[Tips? Uhh... Here’s one. Don’t do any sightseeing, since that place is as soulless and barren as one would expect. All the imagery you’ll see is just soone’s imagination. Basically, get in there, go find , and then we can all get our asses out of there,] Burger said.
Hearing that, Rael let out a chuckle.
He was hoping he could just go and do everything fast, since he had no intention of spending a lot of ti in yet another new Realm.
As if reading his thoughts, Burger added:
[Yeah, don’t worry. The Spirit Realm has multiple layers that are kind of similar to the Prophetic Realm. So long as you find the right layer, you’ll be able to find .]
Fair enough.
With that, Rael used a little bit of his mana to blast off all the surrounding Fate Dragons, and then he stepped forward, eting Victoria’s gaze.
"So? Is this it?"
Victoria nodded.
"It is indeed. We may leave at a mont’s notice. I’m just a little curious about the Soul Dragon. Does he have any other contracts aside from you...?"
"My na’s Rael," he introduced himself, then asked the sa question to Burger.
[Of course not. I only stick with one contractor at a ti.]
"Nope. He’s only with ."
A relieved expression appeared on Victoria’s face.
"In that case, severing the connection will be easy. If he had a bunch of contracts, then we’d be in serious trouble. It seems like I might get married today after all."
Right...
Anyhow, Rael cracked his neck, adjusted his posture, and then lastly walked over to the portal.
He tried to peer through it, only to fail miserably.
"I can’t see anything either," she chid in. "The Spirit Realm is very thoroughly guarded from outside interference. But since I called in a favor, they will know we’re coming."
"Well, that’s fine. It’s not like we’re planning to be there for long," Rael replied and then exchanged one final glance with her.
As if reading his intentions, Victoria also approached him and extended her hand toward the portal.
Rael did the sa.
Although he was expecting so kind of dramatic teleportation, what he was t with instead was complete and total darkness, followed by a few flickering lights in the distance.
It was so quick that he didn’t even know he had teleported.
There was no sensation, indication, or any change in feeling either...
But obviously, he needed to head toward those flickering lights if he wanted to reach the Spirit Realm.
However, right as he began to move toward them, he felt soone grab the hem of his clothes and pull him back down.
Once he glanced back, he spotted Victoria, whose eyes were glowing.
She opened her mouth and spoke, yet he couldn’t hear a word.
But thankfully, he had Burger-pedia.
[She’s saying that’s a trap. The real Spirit Realm is under you.]
Rael felt like he might need to learn to read lips in situations like these.
Either way, he nodded back at her.
A satisfied expression appeared on her face.
Then, she let go of his clothes and began flying downward.
Although Rael couldn’t feel anything, judging by how they were moving, it was as though they were in an ocean.
A rather warm ocean, if his skin was sizzling.
Nonetheless, the two continued heading downward, and with every passing mont, the heat of the water increased to the point where even Victoria’s skin began to boil.
Rael didn’t really get this kind of defense chanism.
Why make their skin boil so gruesoly when they lack all feeling?
Clearly, soone up there wasn’t the brightest.
But even so, once they were far enough down, it seed like they reached the bottom.
Both of them stood up and glanced around the seemingly endless bottom, with no opening in sight.
Just as Rael was about to go and explore the place a little to try and maybe find a way down, his vision wobbled slightly.
And when he turned toward Victoria, he realized she was ripping apart the ground with her bare hands.
His eyes opened wide as he stared at the place she had ripped open.
It was a pitch white realm, but there were also several dozen buildings, plazas, dieval buildings...
You’re right. It’s really like a bunch of imaginations mixed together. I can’t say it doesn’t look interesting though.
Burger scoffed.
[Staring at that unclear shitshow every day is not very fun, I can assure you of that much. I can admit though that so of those spirits have beautiful figures. Resisting them is very hard.]
Should I tell your to-be wife that you’re a lecher? Rael mused.
Burger coughed a few tis.
[N-No need. I’m an innocent man who has a dog, his own house, and even a... a... Fuck. Give so ideas. What’s normal?]
Rael rolled his eyes at Burger’s shaless behavior and crouched down to help Victoria open up the path to the Spirit Realm.
It was harder than it looked.
But using the Law of Destruction, it was slightly easier.
And so, within just a few minutes, they had a clear hole leading directly into the Spirit Realm.
So without further ado, both of them jumped inside.
