Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster Chapter 726: Escaping

The space in front of Rael cracked, revealing several layers of the Spirit Realm, including the ones down below.

But more importantly, each of the layers seed to pulse out different types of mana signatures, all of which overloaded Rael’s senses and canceled out his Foresight.

Using that gap in which Rael’s senses were disturbed, the Spirit Emperor vanished out of sight and reappeared behind Rael, then slashed at his back.

Since Rael couldn’t react, the slash pierced straight through his skin and severed his spine in two.

The pain was nothing like what he had ever felt before.

It wasn’t terrible per se... But after enduring the staircase, Rael knew that this pain was not physical... but spiritual.

All this scorching pain and numbness he felt was coming from his soul.

Reacting as fast as he could, Rael dashed away, only to be stopped by the Spirit Emperor’s blade right at his back.

He moved faster than Rael could react.

Even while utilizing all his boons, Rael felt a little helpless.

That was until an attack ca from above that seed like it would pierce Rael’s soul in two.

And this attack in particular, Rael decided to use the ability he got from Autumn.

Parry (Supre): You may parry any one attack every 5 seconds.

So that was exactly what Rael did.

When the attack was just about to land, Rael activated that ability, and to his surprise, his hand moved automatically, then tapped the incoming attack.

In an instant, the attack’s trajectory changed from Rael’s head to the Spirit Emperor’s head instead.

It was different from Autumn’s ability.

She simply redirected it and made it miss.

But Rael, on the other hand...

His Parry literally brought the attack down onto the attacker.

And so, before the Spirit Emperor could even react, its own attack hit it square on the head and sent him hurtling directly to the ground, causing a loud explosion to resound as a massive crater suddenly ford.

Rael’s eyes widened at the damage that had been done.

But just then, he realized Victoria had finished her portal and began signaling at him to approach.

So just before he did that, he sped up his ti and took Parry off cooldown before running over to her.

Astaroth, like the coward he was, jumped in first, and Victoria was second.

The size of the portal reduced significantly.

And right as Rael was about to cross, he sensed another attack coming his way.

Glancing back, he spotted the Spirit Emperor with a bloodied forehead just an inch away.

And as if on cue, Rael activated the Parry ability, causing the Spirit Emperor to once again be flung backward from the force of his own attack.

Rael stared in shock, wondering why he hadn’t thought of using this ability with ti manipulation... especially when it was so god damn overpowered.

Despite that, he jumped straight through the portal, and after several seconds, he arrived back in one of the layers of the Spirit Realm, right beside Astaroth and Victoria.

The portal was still open.

Yet with the flick of his wrist, Rael broke the portal, as well as the other smaller portal which was beside it.

Just like that, the threat of the Spirit Emperor was thwarted, leaving Rael a little dazed from the Soul Damage, but still relatively fine.

Though, as if he wasn’t feeling good about himself already, Astaroth turned into a bootlicker.

"You held your ground against a Spirit Emperor? Jeez... Now I can’t wait to fight you."

Rael raised a brow.

"Are you that big of a muscle head? You keep talking about fighting, but you said so yourself. You’re like an ant when it cos to the hierarchy of spirits, so I would probably wipe the floor with you."

"Don’t underestimate . When I regain my strength, I will show you why they used to call the strongest dragon. Or at least, I will make sure to put up a damn good fight," Astaroth replied.

Seeing that, Victoria let out a sigh.

"It seems that his filter vanished after he broke the oath... I bet it’s going to return later, but until now, just ignore him."

Rael let out a chuckle at those words, then glanced around.

It seed like the mana here wasn’t as unstable as before, so he could just teleport to where they entered the Spirit Realm and then just leave.

Just then, Rael spotted a small portal opening behind him, which likely ant the Spirit Emperor was trying to break through.

But instead of allowing him to do so, Rael simply slashed at the portal and destroyed it, eliminating all of the progress that the Spirit Emperor had made.

It was a fun miniga.

"Give a mont, I’m trying to find the spot where we were... But it’s a bit difficult," Victoria said. "So new layers have been created, so if we were to go back... we wouldn’t be able to leave."

Rael tilted his head slightly.

Did that an that the ocean they had entered through was the very bottom of the Spirit Realm?

If that’s the case, does the Spirit Realm really expand infinitely?

He was nothing short of shocked at the revelation, but he was also a little puzzled by how Victoria would find the new bottom.

That was until he rembered sothing.

If he went inside the Prophetic Realm and calculated the rate at which the Spirit Realm was expanding, then applied it to a future vision... He could theoretically see where the bottom of the Spirit Realm could be.

But doing such calculations... while he definitely could, since Victoria was already on it, Rael just decided to act oblivious and let her do her thing.

All the while, he thwarted the Spirit Emperor’s attempts of getting over here.

It took so ti.

Nearly 10 minutes, actually.

Because of Rael’s Neural Core, he could’ve probably completed the calculations 10 minutes ago...

But oh well.

When Victoria was done, she imdiately gestured at them to get inside, and so that was exactly what they all did.
