Capítulo 814: Rael, The Platinum Gravedigger

She ntioned remnants… so Rael thought she had actually found sothing nice.

However, now that he was staring at the lively graveyard, Rael felt like she might’ve misunderstood his intentions.

“Do you take for a grave robber?”

“One of these graves has your mana in it,” Gaia said sternly.

“…Can’t you pinpoint one, please?” Rael pleaded.

Gaia shook her head.

“I can’t. All of these graves have an equal amount of your mana in them, but not everyone has what you’re looking for. I’ve tried peering beneath the soil, but alas… I was unable to find it.”

Rael felt like she was just punking him at this point.

Even Alune was cackling atop his shoulders.

Speaking of…

“Alune, you gave Primordial Sight, so don’t you have so kind of better ability? Look down and find it for , pretty please?”

She paused for a mont.

“That’s cute. But no, sorry. I can’t find it.”

Alas, Rael was about to beco a gravedigger.

Apologizing to the families he was about to piss off, Rael picked a random grave and then began digging down.

Yet instead of finding a coffin, he found a single golden bone. The bone radiated an intense amount of mana, and it seed like it was responsible for everything around him feeling like him.

After all, Rael felt like he could reabsorb this mana back into his body, but chose not to, since it was a clue.

Still…

“Is this it?”

“Um… Yes?” Gaia replied. “You got it on the first try?”

It seed like his high luck due to the fate thread manipulation was actually working better than he expected.

Heh.

“Touche.”

Rael cleared his throat.

“So what now? Do I eat this bone?”

“Are you a dog? Of course not. Try to infuse your mana into it, and you might see where you have to go,” Gaia said.

“Ooooh? Like a treasure hunt. I’ve always wanted to do a treasure hunt.”

“A treasure hunt, yes. Now infuse your mana into it,” Gaia instructed.

With that, Rael decided to do just as he was told. In the next instant, the golden bone lit up even brighter, but instead of shining a path for him, the mana inside the bone suddenly dissipated, and in the end, he was left with absolutely nothing.

He waited for a few seconds, then a few minutes. In the end, the bone had crumbled in his grasp.

“Ah.”

“…”

“That’s an interesting code,” Alune muttered. “According to the bone, you must walk in the southeastern direction for 135 seconds. Rather, you must run there at 100 tis the speed of light, since that’s the universal asurent here.”

“Hmm?” Rael glanced up, eting her gaze. “What are you talking about?”

“The dust from the bone flew in the southeastern direction, and from the mont you infused mana into it to the mont it crumbled, 135 seconds passed,” Gaia chid in, rubbing her chin.

Then, she nodded at Alune.

“You are very perceptive.”

Alune chuckled.

“I am. But you’re very smart.”

Oh.

Hearing their deductions, Rael felt like he was enlightened.

Truthfully, he had been too stunned by the bone not doing anything to notice sothing off. Basically, if he had co here alone, then his odds of finding what he was looking for would’ve been lower.

Or maybe not lower, it would’ve just taken much, much longer.

“Does that an we have to go out of the city again?” Rael asked. “I don’t suppose there’s an underground tunnel we can follow?”

Gaia paused for a mont, then shook her head.

“There’s a sewage system under here, but it all just loops around. We must leave once again.”

Fair enough.

With those thoughts in mind, Rael dashed toward the wall again, and after placing his hand on it, he stepped through.

In his mind, he was counting diligently, and so, when he began moving at 100 tis the speed of light in the southeastern direction, a little over two minutes later, he finally stopped.

When he did, he realized that he was basically in the middle of nowhere.

Rather, it was another one of those deserts, and Rael began feeling a sense of deja vu.

Once he glanced down and shuffled his foot through the sand, he realized that the ground was a bit too hollow. And so, with a slight smile, Rael slamd his foot down, causing the ground to crack open.

The cracks spread for several dozen ters, and before long, a large ravine had ford. He fell inside it, and with Gaia trailing closely behind him and Alune holding onto his hair, the three of them fell down.

It was way too dark, so he could barely see anything. However, there were several dozen rune-like patterns scattered throughout the stone, and more importantly, the farther down he fell, the brighter everything got.

And finally, once Rael saw the ground below, he realized that it was just a massive pool of water.

“That’s acid.”

A-Acid.

He did have Acid Immunity, but he did like his current clothes, so, like the gentleman that Rael was, he carefully flew over the acid and landed on the coast, atop a boulder.

And as he glanced around, he realized that he found himself in so kind of giant cave. The ceiling was particularly high up, and with so many rune-like patterns scattered along the glowing crystals, Rael knew for a fact that he might’ve found exactly what he had been looking for.

After all, his mana was particularly strong here.

It was just that… Could it really be this easy?

The Supre Beast would hide itself with two shitty clues that just anybody could find?

Rael didn’t believe it.

“System, guardian, or whoever you are. Knock twice if you’re here.”

“Fair enough.”

Rael turned to Gaia.

“Pretty sure this is the wrong place.”

Gaia rolled her eyes.

“Before coming to a conclusion, why don’t you go and look around first for so clues?”
