Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster Chapter 818: Abyss Ted Talk
Capítulo 818: Abyss Ted Talk
“Damn.”
Rael just whistled in surprise.
Or rather, he wasn’t really surprised.
Deep down, he felt like there was so kind of connection between the Supre Beast and the literal monster calling himself The Beast.
Of course, that was purely theoretical, but that didn’t change the fact that he was right.
Rael puffed out his chest.
“Is this the mont you tell the Supre Beast is actually my son?”
Gaia turned to him and raised her brow, staring at him as though he were stupid.
“How would that even make sense?”
“Sohow?”
She shook her head.
“The Supre Beast and you are nothing alike. I don’t know the actual connection between you two, but for one, Rael, you’re not related to the Supre Beast in any way, aside from your na, which is very similar, as well as your past.”
It was that again…
But it didn’t make sense.
Not when he heard it last ti, or even now.
How could the two of them not be related when they were literally the sa person?
Rael rembered his past very well. Or rather, his life up until he was bonked over into Sketa Online.
He was Rael Altros, and the Supre Beast was clearly Rael Altros too.
So what was this bullshit?
“Gaia…”
She shook her head.
“I know, but the only person who can explain it properly is him.”
She pointed over at the man on the throne, and by now, it was obvious that he was not only the Supre Beast but also Rael Altros and, well, the grand-sothing-father of Alune.
Then again, the Supre Beast wasn’t in the greatest of shape, as after the revelation, he just sat there looking stupid.
Still…
“You’re my grandfather, really?” Alune asked. “If that’s the case, then why has my father never told about you? At most, he said the Supre Beast once visited the Depths… nothing more.”
She continued pestering him, and after five minutes of questions, he finally gave in.
Just then, the Supre Beast rose from his throne and slamd his foot down onto the ground. In the next instant, he arrived in front of Rael, and before he could even react, the Supre Beast clawed his body in two.
Rael burst like a bubble as his head flew into the wall and collided with it.
The pain was surprisingly ta for the injury, and if that wasn’t enough, the fact that the Supre Beast had attacked him in the first place made him wonder just what exactly it planned to do.
However, that hit seed to do a lot more than Rael first imagined. His wounds healed quickly, but along with them, Rael felt so strange power circling where his heart was supposed to be.
It seed ta at first, but as Rael focused on it, he realized just how overwhelming it truly was.
And of course, when Rael decided to infuse his mana into it, everything changed.
His vision darkened, and for a brief mont, he felt like he had entered a whole different realm altogether.
Or rather, he actually had, since when he ca to and glanced around, Rael realized that there was nobody around. Instead, he was just in so pitch-black realm devoid of all life and light.
It was a little cold.
And that was saying sothing, since Rael shouldn’t even be able to feel the cold.
Just what was this place?
Rael glanced around, trying to find so semblance of light. He even tried to form his own light, but it was to no avail, as his mana practically did not react to him at all.
And only then did Rael finally entertain the possibility that this guy had actually tossed him into the Abyss. The sa Abyss Rael had seen while looking for the Supre Beast.
But why would he do that?
What was even his motive?
Does he expect to break out of here? I an, I can try, but I’m guessing he hasn’t made it easy. Rather, even Gaia told it’s close to impossible, Rael pondered.
Yet right as he was about to get proactive, he suddenly felt a warm breeze brush past him. Once he turned toward it, he saw a familiar figure.
The figure was none other than the Supre Beast. He was floating in this endless cosmos alongside Rael, and despite the situation he found himself in, he looked strangely empty.
Almost like the Abyss represented what was actually inside his heart.
At that thought, Rael’s gaze hardened as he slowly made his way over to the Supre Beast. Once he was close enough, he opened his mouth and just barely managed to squeeze out a word.
“Why?”
It was painful.
But having opened his mouth once and spoken, it made it easier the second ti.
“Why’d you do this? I’m not much for aesthetics, but even this is a little overboard.”
At Rael’s sarcastic remark, the Supre Beast just continued staring at him, as if waiting for sothing to happen.
And sothing did happen.
Rael felt like his body had begun to absorb the mana of the Abyss, albeit very slowly.
Once that began to happen, the Supre Beast finally exhaled a deep breath and said:
“Are you curious about your origins?”
“No shit. Why else do you think I ca here?” Rael retorted with a scoff.
“Well, you did say you wanted the fragnt or whatever,” the Supre Beast replied. “Food for thought, but have you ever thought of just going into an alternate universe and stealing the fragnt from another version of yourself? There’s no particular order in which those fragnts can be collected, and with the multiverse not disrupting ti, you can do whatever you want and piss off whover you want.”
Hearing that, Rael paused for a mont.
Was that actually a possibility?
He felt like that was strangely deceptive.
But clearly, his seriousness was legit.
Welp.
It wasn’t the first ti Rael was a dumbass, so he decided to just roll with it.
“Enough with your food-for-thought questionnaires. Just tell who I really am.”
