“Though you obviously far surpassed everything I had offered you. If anything, you have the potential to be a very powerful being, if not the most powerful.”

With those words, the Supre Beast continued:

“Survived the causality of inevitable death. Does that ring a bell? Well, the system kind of glitched out. You were technically born, but since your birth took eons, you were basically dead all that ti. Once you were eventually born, the system didn’t know what feat to give you, so it just gave you that.”

Rael tilted his head.

“Didn’t it say that you’re related to this?”

The Supre Beast shook his head.

“I was just the catalyst for the reason. Had I not intervened and given it a reason, the system might’ve deleted that feat. Anyhow… I get that you want to ask plenty of questions, but I’ll just tell it to you straight here.”

He once again cleared his throat and said:

“Even though you were once who you were, that doesn’t an you’re not real. You’re your own person, and despite having so of my mories, that doesn’t change much. In the end, the people you love and cherish are the sa people who love you back for who you are.”

“So yeah, don’t think too much about it. If anything, don’t think about it at all. Instead, focus everything you have on getting stronger and doing all sorts of other things. After all, you are limiting yourself to only one outco. The universe is giant, and threats like Lucien and Solenne are just peas in a pod.”

The Supre Beast let out a chuckle.

“I know the path to a higher realm, but as it stands, I’m way too weak to go there. If you get strong enough, I’ll show it to you and your wives. If that’s what you want, of course.”

“…I guess.”

Rael paused for a mont before sighing. He wished the Supre Beast would just stop talking and give him so sort of silver lining, since as it stood, he was way too skeptical of everything now.

Though at the very least…

“Don’t worry about the wife issue. The wives you have now aren’t the sa wives I used to have. Actually, what am I even saying? I was loyal to my one and only wife, unlike you, big jackass walking around with his harem.”

Clearly, he was trying to cheer Rael up. But as it stood, Rael just smiled at him and continued sulking. He felt like he had a lot more questions to ask, but then again, every answer would also make him that much more depressed.

So he chose to just shut up for now and process everything at his own pace.

In a way, when he first ca to this world, his na was Unnad. That made a lot more sense now that he had the full context.

Also, the fact that Anubis called him an Outer made sense as well. After all, he didn’t belong anywhere. He existed both everywhere and nowhere.

It’s a bit depressing. I thought I knew a lot, and I guess I did. I just didn’t really have the full picture any of these tis.

And for that, Rael decided not to bla himself too hard.

“All settled down?” the Supre Beast asked.

Rael just shrugged.

Seeing that, the Supre Beast decided to let him in on sothing a little more personal.

“My wife was called the Demoness of Despair. She brought other people despair, as you might expect. She wasn’t the most powerful, but she was definitely the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.”

“Sadly… while I was out in combat, the Demon Realm was wiped out by the Universal Laws. She was affected as well, since she had been tinkering with the concept of going past your natural limits.”

As he was about to continue, Rael chid in.

“Can’t she still be alive?”

The Supre Beast narrowed his eyes.

“No evidence points to her being alive. And if she was, don’t you think in all of this ti that has passed, she might’ve chid in and checked how I was doing?”

Rael understood his frustration very well.

However, he also had a certain mory playing in the back of his mind, the sa mory that made the most sense in the current context.

The mory of the Demon Realm and how the Eternal Dream viewed it from his perspective.

Powerful demons vanishing one after the other. It was cruel from the outside, since the most common perspective was that the Universal Laws were wiping them out.

…But what if they weren’t?

What if instead of being erased, those people were just tossed out of this universe, or rather, this realm?

There were Higher Gods, and those people were very clearly more powerful than any being Rael had seen here. So why weren’t they getting deleted? Sure, there were roles that kept certain beings’ purpose tied to their authority, but that just didn’t make enough sense.

If Rael could just manipulate his authority, could he beco a Grade 20? Grade 30?

There must be sothing else.

And the Supre Beast saying that he found the path to a higher realm only confird Rael’s suspicions.

So with those thoughts in mind, Rael went ahead and quickly relayed every bit of information he had about this topic, making sure not to miss anything.

Once he was finished, it seed like it was the Supre Beast’s turn to be conflicted.

“That’s impossible.”

“Is it really, though?” Rael tilted his head. “Think about it. Why would powerful people be erased? How would that benefit anyone other than the balance scale? It wouldn’t, right? That’s why those beings are likely elsewhere. Just like this wife of yours, who you think is dead.”

The Supre Beast lowered his head slightly.

“If that’s the truth, then what have I been doing up until now?”
