Now reading: Chapter 959 959: System Stuff from Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster, a Comedy novel by Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster.

It was an interesting first iteration, since instead of actually doing anything, all it did was act as a placeholder. It was almost like that was his entire intention, but seeing the emotions in the text, Rael knew that Uriel wasn't satisfied.

And so, the first iteration sparked the chain of several thousand systems being made per day. So were buggy, to the point that when he tried to install them into the minds of several beings, those beings exploded and died on sight.

Just like that, in the span of under a month, Uriel was responsible for the deaths of trillions. And yet, he didn't let that weigh on his conscience, since his greater goals were far more important than the short-term sacrifices.

He was obviously on the right track, as within just a few thousand years, he managed to perfect the system. A system where one needed to level up and gain power, instead of having everything granted at birth.

There was an interesting caveat though. Although the system did seem equal, there was sothing in the form of Classes and Feats. Despite Feats seeming like they were actually important, they weren't.

They were placeholders, ant to give the lesser grades hope that they had actually improved, when in reality, Uriel could never ignore the potential that one was born with.

So that was why he made every single ascension invisible, so no one could see anything. Feats too. No one could see them through regular ans. And just like that, two people who might have the sa Feats could theoretically beco Apocalypse Class and General Class.

It was a stupid system, but it was the only system that ensured balance. Rael saw that too, especially how much this research actually took a toll on Uriel's mind. His mories, a few pages back, had begun to turn muddled, showing thoughts of uncertainty, and sotis chaos.

Now, those thoughts were purely practical. And with that sa practical nature, he didn't hesitate to spend the next several million years installing the system into every single being alive, every being being born, and making sure that the system would appear even for those being born.

It was his greatest success.

But seeing how much trouble that brought, and how weak the entire universe had beco, Uriel knew that, and it drove him crazy. Several iterations of the system followed afterwards, but none of them were actually released.

Instead, he turned to making sothing else. The High Tower, for beings who could get stronger rapidly, since it surprisingly adjusted to one's strength. Then, a few thousand more towers scattered throughout the multiverse, the Abyss, and even the Void Realm. Each of them seed so accessible, providing potential to increase the power of everyone.

And yet, his biggest problem ca along. Those who were naturally talented from birth soared through the Grades and Classes. They beca the strongest, and when they found all of the towers he had created, those beings destroyed them, leaving only one tower.

The most powerful tower, but also the one that no one could access, due to how difficult it was to even get into the Abyss to begin with. He tried again and again, but those sa beings proceeded to repeat their greed and monopolize everything.

Uriel grew tired of it.

Rael's eyes widened as he read the next page, which was surprisingly short, detailing one event that Rael had been curious about for a while now.

The event where Uriel finally chose the non-neutral approach. The sa event where he went ahead and forcefully pushed all powerful beings into the High Tower. He created several more towers for those who were a little weaker and hid those towers all throughout the multiverse once more.

In the span of a few thousand years, Uriel got rid of 99% of the multiverse. In the next few thousand years, Uriel started automating the process, and long story short, he eventually decided to make the hard choice of sending his consciousness into the system to monitor every single being at once.

The book ended there, and yet, Rael knew that Uriel was still in the system, watching over everyone and practically doing everything by himself. It was an odd fate, but then again, no one really pitied him.

It was his own decision, his own choice that led him to such a fate.

Obviously, Rael would never be that kind. If he were in that guy's position, he would've taken all that power and just lived with it, found a wife or two, then settled down. His life wouldn't have changed much, if he was being honest.

After all, Rael was already plenty powerful. He might not be the most powerful in the multiverse, but who really gave a shit?

Rael let out a chuckle and smiled, closing the book. He had a rough idea of how the other books would be, since Uriel had read a couple. They were just life stories of people who were really good at sothing. A few contributed great things, much like Uriel's system and soone else's Akashic Records.

But the majority were sothing like... Oh, soone could regenerate very fast, since that was so kind of trait from childhood. After their death, that trait would simply be added to the list of whatever kind of being Rael was. Basically, all of his powers were hereditary.

Though if Rael had to guess, that might have sothing to do with the talent at birth. Maybe Rael was just a part of so kind of line of beings that shared all of their power, rather than blood and all that other stuff. None of them were related, but they all had so much power.

Heh.

It was kind of cool, Rael had to admit.

But still, seeing as though there were still a couple dozen books he needed to read, Rael decided to get right to it.

After all, he did want to get out of here sooner rather than much, much later.
