The elite team are running for their lives while carrying their partners. Except for the third pair.
With the second beam that the carriers shot, the rest of the mbers managed to barely dodge it with all they had, but the remaining person in the third pair was unable to do so and took the brunt of the attack.
He never knew that vitality could be used as a weapon. He never knew that his bodily functions could be used to kill him.
By the ti the second beam was done with him, he is barely alive.
The carriers shot the third round of beams and finally, the beams hit soone in the second pair, while the first and fourth successfully escaped.
Two mbers died and the other two are barely alive when this is finally done.
Philip called for Night Ghost and passed orders to collect all four of these and he did as he was told.
After gathering them in the city, he examined the bodies of the dead people first. He left Night Ghost to take the souls away, before preparing them for sothing.
He took out a very special vest and made the two corpses wear them. The vest has so needles inside that drilled themselves into the corpses as they sucked out the remaining blood, residual spiritual energy and even the deposits of elental energy that were there because of the beam attack.
After doing that, Philip then took out a cylinder that is afoot tall with a pipe half in diater attached to it.
He connected the pipe to a small duct in the vest before leaving the corpse be.
He did the sa with the other corpse.
"After the procedure is done, crucify them at the entrance of the mansion."
"Alright"
Night ghost nodded.
Philip was about to walk away but stopped when Night Ghost hesitantly asked sothing.
"What about the other two? Do you want to kill them first?"
"No, I am reserving a very special thing for them. You don't need to worry about it."
"Okay."
Philip walked away and t with Jack and Watt.
"Our mission here is almost done. Finish off the other guards and officials from here. Kill them, collect the souls and go with the vest procedure before crucifying them."
"Do you really want to leave? I an, those people didn't even manage to make it to the city. This is a great win, we can go with the montum. The carriers are also full of energy."
"I know it is a great thing, but things are not as simple. The only reason this worked is because of the conditions we created. The curse would have been completely useless, had they not entered the desert zone created by us.

Watt suddenly got excited when he heard Philip.

Jack said and walked away to carry out the tasks.

Watt also left after muttering. But everyone could see his excitent.
Philip went to the two people that are barely alive. They are restricted completely without any treatnt.
He looked at both of them and thought of what to do with them.
"I can't believe I am really doing this. I thought I would never get a chance to do so."
As he said that, he gestured for one of the subordinates to do sothing.
The subordinate went to the two captives and started making them wear a vest. This one is different from the previous one though.
This one has more inscriptions and more restrictions.
There is also one large duct on the back.
"Bring them to carrier 1 and carrier 4. Use all of the remaining energy in those two."
Philip ordered and the subordinates proceeded.
They brought them to the carriers. The subordinates pulled out a very large pipe from the carrier and connected it to the duct on the vest.
They ran back away and one of them took a deep breath before pulling down a lever.
The multicoloured energy that was shot as beams a while ago, now surrounded this pipe as it channelled into the body of the captive.
The energy is too much. Way too much for even an Astral Plane Consummate cultivator.
The energy channelled and filled up the body forcefully and it took over an hour before it was completely done.
But even with all of that excess energy, the body didn't explode, instead, the whole body seed to have turned into a fusion body with this multi-coloured energy.
The vest kept all of the energy locked inside that body.
"Be careful while moving him. Don't touch him anywhere other than the vest."
The person who perford the procedure inford his fellow subordinates. They nodded and carefully picked the guy as they took him to the main mansion, where the crucifixions are happening.
anwhile, Watt busied himself with sothing else.
He took out so crystal sticks. They are thin and three feet long. But they looked like they are carved out of so crystal material. It looked beautiful and ornantal.
Watt excitedly placed a bunch of formation plates in different areas of the city first and activated them all at the sa ti.
A weird light appeared all over the city and within these lights, there appeared so glowing spots on the ground.
Watt moved on the silver wind as he stabbed one rod after another in these glowing spots.
After making sure that every glowing spot was set up, he took all of the formation plates and went back to et Philip and Jack.
"I set up the formation. What about you guys?"
"Crucifixions are over. The targets that escaped are nowhere to be seen. I think we are good to go."
"Then, let's move."
They imdiately took off. They stored three carriers in divine dinsion fragnts and took one off as they moved away from that city's spot.
From far away, the leader of the elite team saw this and gritted his teeth. He wanted to follow them, but he is injured.
He never expected that he would taste such a humiliating defeat from so juniors. That too, without even being able to put any fight at all.
This will remain in his head as long as he lives.
He wanted to go back to the city and check its situation, but he decided not to. He is way too injured and the rest of the teammates are also not feeling that well.
He decided to retreat imdiately with the team.
By night, the team went back to the Mari clan and they reported the situation to the head of the clan.
