Sam sat along with Captain Ross and Chasin as they traveled on the back of a large eagle.
It is fast, but not as fast as Sam was accustod to traveling. It could even be considered slow in the eyes of Sky and Yanwu.
After around twenty minutes, they could finally the city's vicinities. Sam frowned and asked.
"Don't you think you guys are moving too close? What if they spot us?"
Before Chasin could answer, they already saw a couple of birds flying from the other side.
Sam didn't even know what to say. It almost felt like he jinxed it. Chasin landed his eagle imdiately into the woods and all three of them started running away from the city.
"They are your clan mbers right?"
"Yes, the red sparrow guard. They are our clan warriors. But we are not sure if they are loyal to . My presence in the city will be a bit troubleso if they are loyal to one of my cousins or other elders that don't like ."
"Then why did you fly that openly?"
Sam asked as he tried to find a way to get to the city without being spotted. Now that they already saw them, they are bound to scout the areas a bit. Particularly when the whole atmosphere is so heated with war.
"Okay, let's separate for now and et at the entrance of the city. Let's not get caught. If you guys can disguise, do it. If you can't, I will move in alone and we can et in the city."

Sam left the too of them. He turned into a shadow and disappeared. Within a few minutes, he is already at the entrance of the city. He waited for a while before Chasin and Ross arrived in their disguises.
All three of them entered the city carefully.

Sam knew that things are way more serious than they are appearing. Right now, everything seed like there is still so peace left. But underneath, it is way too much chaos and peace is almost non-existent.
The first they did is of course go to the slums and get into the bar where most of the thugs gather.
Sam once again let his shadows and ghosts do the deed for him. He left them to gather any clues. But this ti, he didn't let them move all over the city, instead, he concentrated all of them strictly on that street.
According to Chasin, this is the place where the lackeys of this underground force gather to do everything.

So, he let the shadows and ghosts find as much information here as possible. As long as they found any na or a person that has a higher rank in the organization that has enough strength to talk to the leader of it, then he can take things from there.
They waited in that bar for over an hour and Sam already has so good news.
One of the semi-core figures of the organization accessed a hidden room where he t the core person.
"Do you know who Laya is?"
Sam asked Chasin and Ross.
"Yes, the second in command and wife of the underground force. How do you know that na?"
"I just got so info. We got really lucky here. Laya actually issued orders to look out for any suspicious people that enter the city at this mont. She also issued an order to find out if there is any change in the governntal activity.
It seems like they are holding a high-profile secret eting. The lower ranks of the organization were just given the order.
It is a good thing, we ca at this ti and we sneaked in without being spotted. We would have alerted them if we really ca on the bird openly.
I already put a tail on a person nad Grin. He might give us so more information soon.
Anyway, do you have any info on where these etings are held? I am sure that the governnt has enough knowledge on the underground to co-exist like this."
"We might have. I need to check with the local authorities. Then the information of my presence might leak here."
"Don't bother then. They might not even hold the etings there anyway. I am just concerned about covering all the bases.

Chasin and Ross exchanged a glance. Sam is making them nervous.
After all, it is kind of hard for them to believe that Sam never even visited this place and he already knows the nas of Laya and Grin.
It is unbelievable in every sense. This is making their suspicions raise again. They even wanted to voice out their opinions and there is even a thought of backing out.
But Sam didn't care. If he wanted to kill them, he would have killed them already. In fact, that would be the most straightforward way for him to obtain the first child.
He could kill this guy, capture his mories, find out where the kid is and then devise a plan according to that.
But he knew in the long term, working with this guy brings out more benefits. He could use him as a front to deal with so of the targets that he would need to deal with in the future and he can also be there inside and fuel the war to rage more and move in his direction.
By night if he really couldn't find any positive leads from here, he would definitely take so drastic asures.
As he was thinking, he suddenly sensed sothing else. The guy nad Grin seed to have different orders and he is moving toward the entrance of the city.
This made Sam feel a bit troubled. He hoped that this guy would be at the eting and he would provide a direct lead to the rcenary team.
But he seed to be going outside of the city.
Sam didn't want to miss this chance. He only has until the next day to finish the task and get that information from Lucifer. There is no way, he is going to let that chance go, so he decided to improvise.
"Stay here. I will be back."
He told both of them and ran out of the bar. Then he turned into a shadow and slipped through the streets before reaching the city gate.
He ca out of the city and waited for Grin to co out.
anwhile, Chasin beca a bit restless. Everything Sam did is getting on his nerves and increasing his anxiety. He couldn't sit still and decided to try and make so sense of what is happening.
He sent Ross to secretly pull in one of their mbers within the city authority.
Back at the city gate, Sam looked as Grin took off on a vulture.
His guess is right, this guy is going sowhere else.
Sam took out his harbinger and went after him. It didn't take long for him to catch up and Grin who noticed this, stopped and turned around to confront Sam directly.
"Who are you? Why are you tailing ?"
Sam just smiled and said.
"I need so information and I would like it if you can give it to ."
"You didn't answer my first question. Who are you?"
"My na is Sam. Now, I know you won't just give the info just because I asked you to, so let's make it easier for both of us, because I am tight on ti.
One way to go is that you can sell the information to if you are in that business. I can pay you whatever you ask and we can go on our ways as if we have never t.
But don't try to cheat . I will know if you are lying.

Grin frowned and looked at Sam coldly.

As soon as he spoke, Sam made his move. Grin couldn't even blink before Sam already made his way toward him and sliced his neck.
Grin widened his eyes and tried to use his hands to close his neck.
"As I said, I am tight on ti."
Sam just said that and gave a swift turn. The Vulture's head ca off followed by its crash.
Within the next few minutes, Grin just died in the place and Sam used soul extraction to get the required info.
After absorbing the information, he felt relieved that he didn't let this guy go. Because he is going on a really large mission that would have taken forever to be finished.
But now, he has so new and useful information that he can now use to speed things up a bit.
As he made his way to the city, he processed all the information and couldn't help but chuckle. He just realized how stupid Chasin really is.
This guy doesn't even know the situation in his backyard.
