When the target heard this, he beca extrely delighted.
Having a problem ans that he can use this opportunity to solve it and curry so favor.
“What is it? Let know. I will try my best to solve it. There are not many things in the city that could trouble .”
“Well, I just ca to the city and it seems like I have already offended soone. That guy also has a very vast collection of wines and he is enjoying them by himself. I wanted to have an exchange. In fact, his wine collection is far superior to mine. He gave a bottle as goodwill and didn’t take mine.
I got offended a bit and tried to buy that thod off of him.
He beca pissed and warned that he would kill if I co across.”
The target was stunned and so was the bartender. A wine superior to this and soone was so insulted that he wanted to kill this guy just for asking to buy it?
“Who is that person?”
The target asked in confusion.

“He is staying in Magman inn. He is wearing all black. Black feather coat. He had a cold aura around him. He looked like he could kill soone with just a gaze. He is tall, sowhat good looking…”
As he went on with describing, the target’s face changed a dozen tis over.
“Wait, does he look like this?” he asked as he showed the picture of Sam.
Sam looked at his own picture and nodded.
“Yes. Why do you have a picture of him? Are you guys…”
Before he could speak, the target stood up and said.
“he is a wanted man. Thank you so much for giving this information. This helps a lot. I owe you a huge favor. Right now, I think it is better for you to stay sowhere else. Magman inn might be in so chaos.”
The target thought for a mont and called one of his subordinates. He then called one of his subordinates.
“This person is an esteed guest of mine. Take him to my residence beside the clan grounds. Tell everyone to not disturb him.”
Sam’s eyes lit up in excitent when he heard this. A house right beside the clan grounds. It is almost like circumstances are begging him to spy on the clan.
The subordinate respectfully escorted Sam to the residence while the target went running to the inn to search for Sam.
When he reached the inn, he directly went to the manager and asked.
“Did you see the guy in this picture? Did he co to this inn?”
The manager saw this and was frightened a bit. He recognized the target and Sam both. Sam seed like a mysterious powerhouse by the way he carried himself, so he treated him with respect. And the target is known to be Baryn’s lackey.
So, he acted even more respectfully and answered.
“Yes, sir. This person booked a room here this morning. He didn’t co out as far as we know. So, he should still be there.”
“Good. Check if he is in the room first. He is a wanted man by the Magman clan. There should be no mistakes. You cannot afford to ss this up. Got it?”
“Yes, sir.”
“I will go and bring Young master Baryn here. You better be careful with this.”
With that, the target ran back to the clan grounds and t with Baryn.
He didn’t reveal the liquor deal he made with disguised Sam. Instead, he just said that he ca across a passerby and got a clue. He went to the inn and asked the manager. He got a positive reply.
That is all he said.
Baryn stood up in surprise. He imdiately called for Kumar.
Kumar heard the whole story and asked.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. The manager of the inn is currently waiting there. I think we should investigate.”
Kumar nodded and left with Baryn to take a look. They spoke with the inn manager who only said one thing when they arrived.
“He is missing. He is not in his room.”
When they heard that, Kumar sighed and said.
“He might have already gotten a hold that we are looking for him. I told you to do it as discreetly as possible.”
“How discreet can we be? We didn’t even issue a public notice. Apart from the direct subordinates of the Magman clan no one else has seen his picture or knows the fact that we are looking for him. There is no way he could have known. And the manager said that he just ca this morning.
It is impossible for him to know.”
The target said.
Kumar looked at him and didn’t say anything for a mont. He turned to the manager and asked.
“I have been here since morning. Is there any chance that he could have heard any conversation in my room?”
“No sir. We have an isolated formation for concealnt in each room and it is connected to the central formation. If the room’s formation is tampered with we will know it in the central formation.”
Kumar shook his head and said.
“you guys wouldn’t even know if he changed the whole formation directly. Do a thorough check and see if the formation is completely alright. Let know as soon as possible. Which room is he in? Take there.”
The manager went to check on the formation while an attendant escorted Kumar to Sam’s room.
He looked around and then tried to find out any possible way to his own room. But there aren’t any. He is wondering if Sam had heard his conversation with baryn and then decided to leave this place. Or if he had so bigger plan.
He didn’t find any evidence, but he still cannot rule out that possibility.
Kumar turned to Baryn and said.
“We cannot be sure if Sam learned about us or not. But let us assu the worst-case scenario and he heard us. We cannot predict what he will exactly do. But it would be a way to access as much information as possible.
I need a formation and inscription master who is good with necromancy and dark elental energy imdiately.
I need them to do sothing.
Activate every single one of your subordinates within the city. Direct or not. We need every set of eyes that we can afford.
If possible try to limit the number of people roaming around in the city.
Sam should either be found out or scared away by us. Any outco other than these two is not desirable.
Go back to your father and tell him to stay with the kid all the ti. Throughout the day. Under no circumstance, he should leave the kid’s side.
Seal the clan grounds. No one should go out or go in until further notice. Tell your father to scan the whole clan grounds with his spiritual sense. The things to look for are shadow undead, ghosts, specters, insects, and bugs that are out of place. Anything that is reflecting so dark elental energy and weird tallic creatures.
Get to it imdiately.
