Sam as usual went ahead with the investigation.
Everything about this city is very different. Unlike the other cities, this one didn't have a definite shape of a circle, ellipse or a square. Instead it is very uneven.
The city walls are not constructed out of so special earthen stones that are massive. Instead, a large number of trees are grown in a pattern around the city and each tree has a fixed distance. Between these trees as nodes, they built a wooden wall of decent size.
Of course, this wooden wall and the formation of the trees gave them adequate defense against the beasts.
Sam is really impressed by how much they kept the nature intact.
But that gives him a lot of trouble when the disaster strikes.
In the second disaster, at the ruby city, the lava has been flowing beneath city through small currents. That already gave him a lot of trouble. He has to design the external defense as well as the internal defense.
Now, the trees and vegetation that are part of this city are a very integral and crucial part. If the disaster is related to those trees, then it would be a piece of cake to kill everyone within the city.
He has to be very strategic about upcoming disaster.
But he decided on one thing though. Bear's position.
Sam talked to Forest bear about the plan.
"You are going to sit in the middle of the city control every single piece of vegetation that is within the city and its imdiate vicinity. You don't need to go past the ten ter radius outside of the city."
[I can control further though.]
"I know you can. But I want the quality over quantity. I want your utmost control over the vegetation in that designated area. It should be to the point that even if Noah cos and wrestles with you for the control over the vegetation, she shouldn't even be able to gain 10% control over a small blade of grass."
[I will do it.]
Forest bear imdiately ran into the city without hesitation. The people inside the forest were stunned by the sudden charge of the beast, but they were already inford about the possible scenario like this.
Forest bear took his position and his wood elental energy spread.
Sam then sent Raiju, Sky and Ape outside to get an understanding of the beasts here.
Mia is in charge of getting an understanding of the springs within the forest. Dia, Hopper and Yanwu have special tasks.

So, the best course of action is for us to be on defensive. Our defense must be absolute. Not a single attack must be allowed to penetrate through us, which is impossible. So, we are going to give our best to achieve that.
And with that near absolute defense, we will defeat the god that cos with the disaster to finish it off. Once the god is done, our job would be done as well."
[What should we do?]
"Both you and Yanwu create a zone around the city. It should expand for at least five hundred ter radius around the city. It is a large area…"
Sam went on to explain the plan. After everything is done, he went on to work on the base defensive formation. He already gave the tasks to the young masters and the masters that ca with them. But this ti, Sam had to work on this much harder than all the tis before.
The formation shape is a bit uneven. Sam did get permission from the clan leader to cut so trees off around the city, but Sam was absolutely against it.

If the disaster itself makes any damage to the trees, he would even fight and defend it.
By evening, Sam already made a lot of progress on the formation at that ti Ape returned back with so news.
[The beasts are very peaceful at the mont, but it seems slightly unnatural. Their territorialism seed to have disappeared. Even a tiger is not responding when I made a ss in its territory. It is very unlike them.]
Even Sam was surprised when he heard this.
The tigers are indeed one of the most territorial creatures and the more powerful their bloodline is the more territorial they are. They wouldn't just let another high level creature just enter their territory and make a ss there.
"Keep an eye and try to see if you guys can redirect the beasts. It doesn't matter which direction, but try to take them as far away from the city as possible."
[We will try and see.]
After that Sam went back to work on the formation.
This ti he was very handson and it is not just so formation that could be finished with man power. He was extrely precise with everything he did.
Ti went by just like that. The night before the disaster Sam was finally done with the formation. At least it satisfied the image in his mind. But he still felt like that it wouldn't be enough. He just kept on feeling that it would be hard to deal with the disaster without damaging the forest.
But of course, he couldn't do much about that feeling since he doesn't know what the disaster. All he could do is wait for the disaster to co while he added so minor reinforcents on the formations.
Ti passed.
Soon it is ti for the disaster to strike. But Sam was surprised when he didn't see any changes within the city and the imdiate vicinity.
He was confused. Even the crystal table didn't show any signs, but at that mont Ape, Sky and Raiju sent ssages one after another through their ntal connection.
[Beasts are running rampant. They mutated suddenly and they are charging at the city all of a sudden.]
This is the gist of all three of them.
When Sam told Ape to redirect the beasts away from the city, they did as he told them to do. The beasts were also very compliant. Even the beasts that are a bit stronger than them just bowed down to the bloodline and moved away.
The common thing they noticed is that all these beasts seed to have beco very soft. This made Sam feel that's sothing is definitely off, but he couldn't put a finger on it.
All he could is tell his beasts to keep an eye on them.
He even got a ssage that all the beasts are basically in the rest mode the night before, but now all the beasts are mutated all of a sudden and they are charging towards the city.
"They are not responding to the bloodline suppression?"
[No, it is like their minds are completely gone and taken over by soone. They are like undead creatures, it is just that they didn't lose any of their vitality or strength.]
"You three attack them. It would be impossible for you guys to stop all of them, but try to reduce the number as much as possible. We will take care of them when they reach the city."
The beasts complied and they started hunting the beasts that are running towards the city.
But at this mont, one of the young masters got a ssage. He hurriedly ca to Sam and told him.
"I got a news from outside the Forest city's territory. The beasts that belong to other nearby cities and establishnts, or beasts that belong to a different territory are all acting up. They broke their shackles, contracts and all of them are running to Forest City at their top speed.
They could enter the forest any ti."
