Priestess went to talk to Karthikeya.
She called him hurriedly and explained the situation. Karthikeya felt a bit exhausted. Not physically but ntally. If only the gods that know Karthikeya saw this situation, they would have had a lot to say.
"Are your people really that stupid? Do they really think that Sam is a soft persimmon just because he is restraining himself from killing every single person every ten minutes? If his task was to only save the infrastructure of the planet, he would have had a picnic there by now."
Karthikeya is really angry.
After all, he took a lot of asures so that Sam would end up in that particular planet at that particular ti.
He had to owe a lot of favors for every one. But that is not even the most troubling thing there.
Sam himself was aiming to get a perfect score in the mission. But Karthikeya already sensed the story going down by two points.
Even though it is just a few points, he knew that whoever takes sothing away from Sam, would have to pay a price and it wouldn't be a small one.
"Just call for a eting to the clan leaders. Explain the situation to them. Tell them that the disaster would be the least of their concerns if Sam really retaliates. Tell them to surrender and resolve this peacefully."
Priestess did as he was told.
She called for the clan leaders' eting and gave them a piece of her mind.
"I don't know exactly what happened there. But it has co to my attention that one of your genius sons might have pissed him off. I know that you all know what happened there. Soone thought that it would be a great idea to try and ss with that person who is trying to help you out.
I suggest you guys just co out without interfering. Because once there is a detailed investigation and find out anything that is out of the norm, I will count your bones with mybear kids.
anwhile, Sam didn't take long to wake up.
The eting with the clan leaders obviously didn't lead to any conclusion. No one dared to take on the bla for whatever happened.
Sam's return made everyone stand on their toes. They expected heavy retaliation. Among them, one young master in particular is so afraid that he even left the mountain before Sam even woke up.
He is the sa young master that previously talked about the plan of sabotaging the defense of other clans. The first elder opposed the whole thing, but the problem is that this guy who recently adhered the throne happened to have so loyal followers and they all planned this together.
"I will not hand over you there. But that doesn't an you are going to get the full protection of the clan from now on. If Sam himself finds out what you did, you better believe, I am going to throw you away cutting all ties between you and the clan.
You can die for all I care."
While the conversation is happening, they got a ssage from the mountains. Their spies reacted and sent the ssage as soon as Sam woke up.
Like most people expected, Sam didn't burn in rage. Instead, he was very calm.
And this surprised the young master and the First Elder even more.
They were expecting retaliation and that is one of the reasons the young master escaped to this place.
Very few people even in their own clan know of this place. He felt safe and sound here.
But seeing that there is no reaction from Sam, gave him a short term sense of relief. But also at the sa ti, left him hanging. He is now growing anxious of how Sam would retaliate.
The first elder is also feeling the sa.
Priestess who already prepared a big speech and an apology to appease Sam was surprised by his calm deanor.
"From the next disaster onwards, my preparation would be a little different. I am not going to work as hard as before. I will just design the formation and stay there, unless there is an absolute requirent for to fight, I wouldn't be fighting.
But from the looks of it, my formation would be enough for most of the ti. The remaining could really be handled by the city leaders and their subordinates.
Sam's decision of course rose more suspicions in the hearts of the young masters. One of them stood up and questioned him.
"How can you do this to us Sir Sam? The remaining powers that were protected by you are now in possession of great formations that couldn't even exist in our imaginations before. They have benefited greatly from your presence.
Now before of the actions of the people who belong to the forr category, we have to suffer. This is not fair.
Sam looked at the young master who sed to have assud a moral highground in demanding protection from Sam.
Of course, Sam couldn't be bothered by it. He looked at the elders, clan leaders and the youngsters before smiling.
"I want to know who destroyed my previous formation. Until then, I will not be participating directly in the confrontation. Unlike before when the formation is there for the sole purpose of defense against so stray attacks and acted a diversion.
But now, it is the primary force for your defense. I would like to see who would want to co to my seat and do all the heavy lifting.
Since so of you are confident enough to kill , I am sure you are more than capable of handling these problems on your own. anwhile, I will wait for the disasters to be over and get out of this place."
The clan leaders and young masters felt like Sam is very petty.
Ti passed and Sam spent most of it in isolation while preparing for the next step.
He just kept on drawing things and figuring out what kind of formation he would use based on the city they are going to target. After he managed to get that vision that always cos with the disaster, he moved along with the team.
Just like before, he behaved the exact sa. He is chill and flexible. He just participated in action nothing else.
