Five minutes after tying up, Dayus finally woke up and he felt as powerless as an infant.
He looked at Sam in shock.
"What the fuck did you do to ?"
He tried to move, but he cannot. He is restrained completely. Even an immortal beast was restrained without a way to move from these chains. Dayus is far from that strength.
"Nothing. Just wanted to greet you before you start your journey in the Academy realm."
"Greetings? Fuck off."
Dayus cursed as he looked at Sam hatefully. Nobody hates Sam more than him, at least that is what Dayus thinks for himself.
"Let go. Or you will face the consequences."
"Consequences? Co on Dayus, you should know better than to threaten by this point. I have beaten your ass so many tis, that I don't even rember how many techniques I have to defeat you."
"What do you want from ? Why are you restraining ?"
"Nothing, it is just that your presence in the Academy realm is going to be a bit troubleso for now.. I have so plans in place and if you are out, you are going to spoil them."
Dayus suddenly smirked.
"So, you got scared shitless and wanted to use these underhanded tricks to get ahead of ? Fucking Corward."
Sam raised an eyebrow.
"You are the one to talk." Watt scoffed from the side. Among the players Dayus has been the one since the start who ti and again involved outsiders and broke promises. No one likes him and almost every player wanted to kill him at least once.
So, preaching about underhanded techniques is very rich coming from him.
Dayus looked at Watt coldly.
"Don't stare at him. He might gouge your eyes out. You know how violet Watt can be when he is pissed." Sam grabbed Dayus' attention once again and continued.
"I want you to stay put for a while. Think of it as a relaxation period. Once my plans are in place, you will be out of here."
Sam then stood up and started attaching a few formation discs on the wall of the room.
A holographic screen appeared showing a scene from the Gambler Academy.
"I know it will be very boring to stay here. So, this is here to entertain you. Have a good ti."
With that, Sam and the team retreated.
This went smoother than Sam thought. He kind of expected more resistance from Dayus and that is why the rest of his team has been prepared. However, this guy is beat up pretty badly. It seems like he directly ca after the war with nature was over without even recovering.
He must have been desperate for so reason.
Sam didn't want Dayus at this mont because he will definitely reveal Sam's ownership of Hub as well as Sam's relationship with the new geniuses of the Academies, aka his friends.
Once the cat is out of the bag, all hell will break loose. Sam needs to do a few things before that.
Since Dayus is already here, Sam believed that the other players will also be in the Academy realm soon and the pocket dinsions will open. He is waiting excitedly for that.
However, at that mont, he got an alert from the Hub. It is an alert set up to notify him when so interesting conversation happening regarding his plans is happening. It is unlike the one related to the threats and plots against him.
He opened the screen and he is delighted once again. It is two of the four elders of the Zeus Academy that Ivar threatened and they are currently talking about Ivar.
"What evidence do you think he has on us?"
"I don't know. But if he really has information on that incident, what do you think will happen? Even if even slightest evidence related to that incident cos up, we are both dead at. It might not have happened in the Academy realm, however, we will lose all of our reputation.
Heck, Dean will directly kill us.
And the retaliation from the people involved. You can only imagine the consequences."
"Maybe we are overthinking this. How can he even know? We took every possible contingency we can think of. We had to bury half the planet for this. I am sure this might be related to so small ti thing.
Like the ones those instructors committed."
"You think so?"
Sam felt intrigued when he listened to this discussion. He knew what they were talking about and Ivar told him that they would react like this. It is that big of a deal. Even when Ivar ntioned all kinds of cris the instructors committed out in the open, they felt more embarrassed than guilty.
Because it is almost a common consensus that the instructors of the big academies can do sothings like this behind the scenes. Of course, they felt slightly afraid that they will judged harshly by the judiciary system of the academy realm.
But that is it. They still felt that they have a way out if they tried hard enough.
However, these Elders are different. The cris of the instructors are incomparable to theirs. If the teachers had grabbed a lollipop from little kids, they raped a whole village and then slaughtered them, including the kids.
That is the extent they went and when Ivar ntioned this to Sam, he devised this plan.
He knew that once a string like this is pulled, even the mountains have to shiver a bit. And a truly guilty party will shiver more since they knew exactly what they did. The threat triggered the exact conversation they expected and it is going in the direction the expected.
"What do you think could have possibly given away? I thought the secret was fool proof. What thod do you think he might have to know about this?"
"I don't know, but the only possibility I see is if either that person involved should have revealed it or maybe the refugees that managed to escape that ti have to know more than we think they know."
"Do you know where they escaped to?"
"I believe they went to one of those has been planets. That is a secondary planet under the control of a clan that worships apollo. I have so people there who occasionally keep tabs on those people. From my investigation, they don't know anything about the incident.
As far as they are concerned it is a planetary disaster that forced them to escape."
"We cannot be a hundred percent sure. We need to eliminate any possibility. Tell your people to keep an eye on them. They could have so uses in the future, but if push cos to shove we might have to eliminate them. Send Ivar's image and other details to your people and tell them to inform us if he is spotted there.
Based on Ivar's personality stealth is not really his thing.
Also, tell we might have to go and deal with Ivar ourselves and make sure that our secrets are in the dark if he really did find any inkling of information about this." Elder Minsk said.
"Do you believe there is no other way?" Elder Kraken asked.
Even though he asked that, judging from his expression, it is apparent that he also believed the sa and thus, they started discussing the plans.
Sam listened in on it and smirked.
It is almost too easy. Day by day his respect to this realm is going down bit by bit. Surely, this place is just as he thought.
A place for him to perform.
He closed the screen and got off his bed. He took off on hoverboard and went to the Norse region. He needs to relay this information to Ivar and he has to do it in person.
While Sam is traveling, in a different corner of the world.
Pearl arrived at her father's training grounds.
It is a vast mountain range. She has been travelling for a while and even with the protective charm her father gave her, she had a hard ti find the location where his father was cultivating.
By the ti she found her, he is sitting under a waterfall. There is a weird formation placed under him and also at the mouth of the waterfall. A few cuts are appearing on his body before they healed and got cut again. He had dark black hair, with slight blue hue. His body is covered with scars. Not of the cuts that he is experiencing now. But from previous battles. He had a tall and muscular build. The calluses and his palms and legs showed just how much he trains.
There is an aura of nace around him. As if he is the manifestation of destruction himself. Pearl felt shivers down her spine as she felt that aura. She felt like she would die if she took two more steps.
Not from an attack but just from that suffocating and nacing aura
