"Yeah, sure. That is an easy thing to do." Bloody Chariot rolled his eyes and sneered.
It is apparent that Bloody Chariot and Theron had so history. The Dean just chuckled a bit. He is the first hand witness of the events that transpired between his senior and his own brother. Theron is technically a junior to the Dean, since he is older.
And to Bloody Chariot, Theron is junior by a few generations.
This only made these two seniors witness Theron grow from a level below them to their own level. And by now, no one knows what is the true strength of Theron. All anyone knows is that it is better to commit suicide than piss off Theron.
The problem is that Theron has a fuse shorter than a bald man's hair. Even the veteran like Bloody Chariot is not exactly willing lock horns with that savage.
And that's why the sarcasm.
"I will try to leave a ssage. There should be an ergency channel he left behind." Dean said with a wry smile.
"An ergency channel? Theron left for you?"
"Yes, Jade is still in the Academy and she is technically the student here. Also, he gave his word to Jade that he will let her be for so ti."
"Let her be for so ti? What does that an? Did that cold hearted bastard started caring for his daughters?"
"I wouldn't say that. It is just that Jade has fallen in love with a slave who worked in so mine. He of course didn't like it. So, he gave the two girls an ultimatum. Either live up to the standards of being his offspring, or he would marry them off to the sons-in-law worthy of his stature."
"So, basically they should either be strong enough to benefit his goal or he would use them as bait to attract a strong enough entity to help him do that. Is that it?"
"Yes, I think it is mostly related to his faith gathering. You know, he took the quality route there…"
They discussed Theron a bit more. But finally, there is only one conclusion, Dean will finish his twelve labors and anwhile try to leave a ssage to Theron. He will then make a coback as the Dean. Until then, Bloody Chariot is in charge of the Academy.
After the discussion, Bloody Chariot went back to the academy. He imdiately sent ssage to all the instructors and elders to be there. Even the ones that left the academy to go off and suck up to the patron families of the Zeus Academy.
He announced that there will be a eting that evening.
anwhile, the report that he asked for was prepared.
The whereabouts of the students. By then, almost all of the students were accounted for, except for ten people. And in those ten people, the new set of suspects that were accused by the new set of victims happened to be there.
This made him frown.
He called for the elders and asked them to see if there are any internal competition footages that he could review to understand how these kids fight.
Even though it is hard to gather, after striving hard, they managed to get access to so footage. He looked through the footage and cross-checked it with the footage obtained from the Norse region. The moves matched. These four kids are nowhere to be seen and no one knows where exactly they went.
"Find them. Whatever the cost, just find them as fast as you can. I need them here."
Bloody Chariot just beca more and more sure that this whole thing is being orchestrated. However, there is nothing concrete that he could gain from this. The only other observation is that all of them belonged to the Noble league.
This made his thoughts divert to a different direction completely.
If not for the fact he genuinely believed that the attackers are not the suspects, he would have definitely believed that the Noble league pulled off sothing like this. In his opinion, the league is nothing but a nest of leeches that tries to such on the power of Zeus and other Olympian gods.
And the worst part is these leeches act territorial as if they are the lions that fought for the power bestowed by the gods, when in reality most of their achievents are because they managed to please these self-centered gods very well.
They could stoop to any low to get what they want. And with the scarcity of the coins, he is actually surprised that they didn't do sothing like this yet.
But with all the things happening, it is too fishy.
So, the noble league mbers are still not on top of his list of suspects. However, he still called for Christos for a eting.
When Christos arrived, he stopped at the door and took a few deep breaths to calm himself a bit. He is a bit nervous considering that he is eting a legend.
He opened the door and walked in.
His eyes were solely focused on the old man Bloody chariot, to the point the keen observations he used to make were gone out of the window.
He didn't even notice the minimalistic state of the office.
Inside there are only three things.
A table. One chair on the other side, clearly belonging to the host and two more chairs on this side.
Christos stiffly walked towards the old man who sat in his chair waiting for him.
"Greetings, Sir Bloody Chariot. I am honored to et your esteed self."
He gave a complete ninety degree bow. Even though he is nervous, he is brimming with respect.
He actually ant his words.
"Christos, nice to et you. Please take a seat."
He gestured and Christos sat down.
"I called you here because eight noble league mbers are being suspected of murder and robbery. I am sure, with your network you might have already gotten the news, at least a few details about it.
Four of those suspects are here, however the remaining four are not. We are still investigating the first four and the second set of incidents happened.
And unfortunately, the second set of suspects are nowhere to be found in the Olympian region and their whereabouts are unknowns. It seems like they were deliberately masking their trial and made sure no one knew where they are going to.
So, this makes them a highly likely suspect."
Christos frowned as he saw the list of the nas. He indeed got so news about this and he also ca to know who the first four suspects are, the second set is a surprise for him.
"What do you want to do, sir? Even though, I am familiar with them, I am nowhere near related to this case."
"Of course, you are related. The only common point among these eight students is that they are mbers of the noble league. Their families are part of the noble league. So, I need so information regarding their families in the noble league."
Christos gulped and nodded.
Bloody Chariot smiled and asked.
"I want to know what happened in the recent etings of the noble league. I guess that a lot of noble league families are fleeced because of the academy war. I am sure, there are a bunch of etings happening in the recent days.
And also, how is the noble league being affected by the coin scarcity? Particularly, these eight families."
Christos' eyes suddenly widened and his mouth opened involuntarily, but he couldn't make out a single word.
Up on looking at the list and thinking of their families, Christos really didn't think much. He did believe that there is a chance these people have made this ss.
After all, the whole of the Olympian city is almost in a dystopian state. A bunch of cris are being committed every single day and he had it on a good authority that even there the majority is the Zeus Academy.
So, if a few students from the league, went ahead and robbed soone from another region? There is nothing for him to be surprised about.
And all these people are diocre and their families hold diocre positions in the league.
However, now that Bloody Chariot ntioned it, sothing clicked. Out of eight suspects, three of them are having family trouble because of the ransom incident. So, they couldn't afford any coins in the auction.
The other five, already exhausted their reserves of the coins up on pressure by the high level families, now they are almost on the breaking point. In fact, even Christos was thinking how to appease the higher level mbers to agree to pay for the students of these families.
It is just that there are too many families and mbers like these, that he couldn't connect the dots imdiately.
Christos didn't hide anything and just explained all the details to Bloody Chariot. The old man nodded and went into a deep thought.
