"I don't know if you are caught up with the news. But the Thalassa family is no more.

Recently, strange disease caught the Thalassa clan and their affiliates. Their strength as severely weakened and all of a sudden an unknown force has invaded their territory, killing every single one of them.

Only a few remnants of the Thalassa family were left behind in this world right now.

And the elder that was related to Thalassa family is being dealt with as we speak."

"Dealt with? Who is doing that?" Gorn asked.

"Who else? Bloody Chariot. From what we heard, this is all the plan of Vlachous' family and Bloody Chariot.

Since Christos Vlachous' was the one that gathered the forces from these families, he and Bloody Chariot are working together to appease the big wigs. They dismissed you first and then, they gathered the list of all of your assets."

Icarus paused and played another recording.

This one has the conversation between the elders who were compiling the elders' assets.

"The compilation was ordered by Bloody Chariot himself. Their plan is to kill you, the elders and take over the assets and then attack the families that you are affiliated with. In that way, they can regain the losses the academy has suffered because of the war, while appeasing that hidden power."

Gorn went into a deep thought before asking.

"How are you so sure about this?"

"Well, there are two reasons. One of them is that the secret force that destroyed the Thalassa family, is none other than the Shadow Cavalry of the Vlachous family."

Gorn is stunned again. How many tis has it been since the start of this conversation? Icarus didn't keep track, but he sure as hell is getting bored of it.

"Then the other reason?"

Icarus sighed at this question. Here is the biggest lie.

"I am one of the last remnants of Thalassa family. The one who is barely enduring the life threatening disease that is about to kill soon enough. That is why I am wearing this attire, to make sure that you will not be infected by this."

"WHAT?"

Gorn jumped up from his seat and the hid behind that chair like a kid.

Icarus almost wanted to slap him. That expression of disgust really irked him.

"Please don't worry. With this attire, the disease is sealed. It might be killing my insides as we speak, but it won't spread out as long as I am alive.

That is why I am in a hurry to say my piece and leave.

Gorn looked at Icarus warily. There are a million questions running through his mind at that mont, but he doesn't know how to ask them. But the most important one is the trust. As much as he felt that whatever Icarus said is the truth, he still held so suspicion.

"The best course of action for you is to first confirm whether my words are true. I am sure, once you are sure that this is true, they you can think with conviction.

If I were you, I would invite soone high up in the Diplodes to co and visit you. Let them stay in hiding and wait for Bloody Chariot to show his hand.

Once you do that, you can take further action.

If you choose to believe at that ti, the best course of action is to go to the Diplodes and make the first move before the Academy does."

The eting concluded and Icarus left.

He went to a different target. Its not like Diplodes have only connections with one Elder.

It is a middle-aged woman that wore blue and brown colored robe. She is tall, almost reaching six feet and she had a serene expression on her face. She looked at Gorn with a faint smile.

"To think that you would use the ergency call note. I thought you would be dead by the ti I am here."

She spoke without any change in her expression. Gorn felt like he followed a fly.

"But to , it looks like you were hoping that I would die before you co here. Two hours after using the ergency call note? If I was really in danger, the enemy could smoothly kill , clean up, have a nice al at the restaurant around the corner and leave leisurely.

This guy is an elder in the Zeus academy and he also happened to be rival of Gorn. They both joined in as instructors around the sa ti and their growth path was basically the sa.
