2257 Brontios
*BOOM*
The fist landed straight into the palms.
Ling Tian gritted his teeth and took the hit. The force ravaged all over his body and he slid on the ground, leaving marks on the ground. The dust settled and everyone saw Ling Tian standing there with the cold face.
He is panting heavily and a fresh strain of blood started dripping down his lips.
He looked at Theron who is coming for a second blow. This ti, Ling Tian blocked the attack with a shield he conjured and once again slid on the ground. He went on the defensive for the next ten moves or so.
Everyone looked at the scene in awe. Ling Tian is getting exhausted. That weird energy that most people there are unfamiliar with is strong. Stronger than what they expected as they saw Ling Tian being dominated.
At least he appeared so.
After the ten odd moves, he started puking blood. His body is shaking.
Sam frowned at this. The fight has finally slowed down enough for him to observe it from afar and he could see Ling Tian's expressions faintly. There is no sign of defeat or resignation there. Even though his actions seed to indicate otherwise…
But Sam could swear that he saw Ling Tian's grin widening with every move and he is also sure that he is not the only one that has noticed this.
Theron got angrier with every blow.
The city is being ravaged with every one of his moves. Even the academies are being affected with many of the buildings already collapsed. But his anger is not subsiding because Ling Tian's figure is still standing strong.
*BAM*
Theron kicked the air and flashed towards Ling Tian. He crashed him into the ground and took a mounted position, raining blows left and right.
*BOOM*
"DIE"
*BOOM*
"DIE"
His screams and blows echoes throughout the city. Ling Tian is conjuring up energy shields on his arms as he blocked the blows coming at his face. Each blow destroyed a shield and it was only replaced by the next shield.
The strength of the blows couldn't be underestimated, its just that Ling Tian's defense is so stronger even in that state.
Theron kept on punching, until all of sudden, his hand froze for a split second, before it could connect with Ling Tian.
As if on cue, Ling Tian's energy raised to the skies and the next mont, sothing else did.
*BOOM*
Theron's body was like a projectile shot straight into the sky. With that resplendent golden glow following him. He looked like an ethereal shooting star, only it was flying high instead of dropping down.
Then everyone saw sothing amazing.
Ling Tian is standing there with his whole body covered with a similar ethereal energy. White color particles covered with golden hue.
And his energy is much more resplendent than that of Theron's. And the reaction of the surroundings is a lot stronger than that of Theron's.
*SWOOSH*
He disappeared from the spot and reappeared above Theron who was still unable to regain control of himself.
*BOOM*
He threw a punch and sent Theron flying in a different direction. Once again Ling Tian disappeared. And at the spot where he landed the punch, a huge spatial tear appeared sucking everything in as if its trying to swallow the surroundings and make the world collapse into itself.
Only it is not strong enough, but it is gradually increasing trying to fight the recovery of the surroundings that are nding the spatial tear naturally.
Ling Tian reappeared in the path of Theron's flying and…
*BOOM*
Landed another proper punch, sending him flying again. This ti apart from the spatial tear, a small cloud of mist ford from the sprayed blood from Theron's body also appeared.
Theron gritted his teeth and scread inaudibly as he regained his balance by force. Ling Tian appeared on the other side and almost managed to land another clean hit. Theron dodged and the fist brushed past him.
Theron halted and looked at Ling Tian with shock and surprise apparent in his eyes.
He is breathing heavily and his skin cracked at several places. It is almost like his body is breaking down by itself. anwhile, Ling Tian appeared completely fine. Even the injuries that he took before are healing rapidly and it is almost like he recovered all the stamina back.
"You…" Theron wanted to say sothing, but he couldn't finish.
Ling Tian said hurriedly and conjured up a sword. He swung it at Theron, who dodged it and just like that the exchange began, however this ti each blow is much more destructive and each exchange is much more dominating.
This ti Ling Tian's upper hand is apparent.
It felt like he was not even trying properly. At least, his moves looked that much at ease.
The sa couldn't be said about Theron.
His body is shivering and it looked like he is ready to give in at any mont. At one point…
Ling Tian's weapon changed into a staff and a clean hit landed on theron.
*BOOM*
While he was still flying, Ling Tian caught up and landed a few more hits.
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
When Theron hit the ground and laid there motionless, Ling Tian got ready to land another hit.
"NOOOOOOOO…."
Heron scread at the top of his lungs as he looked at the scene. The final blow looked like it was aid to kill.
At that mont, A bright light was projected on both of them.
"Fuck. I am late." Ling Tian cursed as he looked at Theron with regret. And the next second, the light disappeared along with the two of them.
Everyone was stunned, except for the Deans. They sighed and appeared a bit nervous. They imdiately turned back as if they had a tacit understanding and left. At least, there are not more fights between the academies as they called their elders and instructors back.
The outsiders lost the battle, even though they are higher in number. So of them just died from the aftershocks of the Ling Tian and Theron's fight. They also left the academy realm without much noise.
But the tensions are still brewing behind the scenes.
Sam had a billion thoughts running in his head. What he saw was too much for him at the mont and this made him excited. He had an inkling of what that ethereal energy is. He has felt it before, but now he has seen it directly.
It is just way too stimulating.
anwhile, sowhere that Sam doesn't know about yet.
The castle that floated in the sky, the place where nurous people were constantly working to monitor and manage the academy realm to function as it usually does.
A man wearing purple battle gear, with short blonde hair with all his muscular and masculine features displayed in all their glory is looking at Ling Tian and Theron as all three of them stood in the middle of an empty white space.
He smiled and looked at both of them.
"Ling Tian and Theron. Nice to et you both. I am sure both of you know who I am."
Ling Tian sighed in resignation.
"Nice to et you too Brontios. It has been a while."
Brontios smiled as he looked at Ling Tian, then redirected his gaze to Theron, who opened his mouth wide in shock.
"Wh… What are you doing here?" He asked. Clearly he also knew about Brontios.
"Of course, this is my work place. I work for the ssenger council. Have been ever since I passed my trial. At first, I wasn't doing anything big, but I am now one of the Mangers of the academy realm."
Brontios answered casually.
Theron looked stunned. Because he and Brontios are peers. Not in the academy realm. No Brontios doesn't have to do sothing like studying in an academy. They t of the battlefield. After Theron quit the academy and entered the battlefield, he t Brontios there.
Brontios was trying to complete his trial there at that ti. He was part of many armies as he was transferred between them and both of them worked together as Theron acted more like a freelancer for the Olympian side.
They knew each other very well.
Its just that Brontios passed his trial and then disappeared. Both of them had so sort of rivalry, and Theron always kept an eye on him. But to disappear all of a sudden, he was a bit disappointed.
"You dragged us here?" Theron got his bearings back and said.
"You beca a lot more expressive Theron. You can even be shocked. I didn't even it was a possibility. And the shit you pulled down there with your rage… Its like you are ten years old all over again."
Brontios smiled as he said that.
Theron gritted his teeth and looked around.
"Why am I here?"
"Of course, you are here because you broke the rules of the Academy realm and as per those rules, you are brought here to be given a warning.
Welco to the ssenger Council."
