Sam and Rashma are holding each other by their collars as they rained punches.
Sam's every punch is charged with shadow energy, which broke through her defenses and infected her on a cellular level. At the sa ti, Rashma despite being affected by the shadow elent, didn't back down.
The only problem is that a bunch of shadow undead enveloped themselves around Sam and blocked her punches with all their might.
She wasn't even able to destroy them with the single punch like before, because of the excessive shadow energy coming out of the spatial tear. They are just recovering even before they could fully disperse from the attack.
*CRASH*
Both of them fell in the middle of the stage. By then, Rashma gained the upper hand and pressed him into the ground. The spatial tear was closed. She pressed him down, making sure that he couldn't move. The shadow energy that is trying to corrupt her body started moving, towards her palm.
Sam's fusion form changed.
The shadow fusion disappeared. The body is now covered in golden flas. Before Rashma could punch, the golden crow bloodline activated.
The bloodline attack. Sam took a deep breath and blew the flas on her face.
*BOOM*
Rashma hurriedly jumped off him, but was still caught in the flas. The burn of the
bloodline attack is much larger and intense than the regular fla attacks. She tried to resist it as much as possible, but still she felt the pain.
That was a clean hit.
When the flas cleared, Rasha is levitating in the air, panting. Her arms are burned, so did a part of her face and chest. She looked at Sam who just stood up.
Her energy riled up, her breathe stabilized. She threw a punch at him from distance. Sam's fusion form changed, fire to light. He shifted to laser form and dodged the attack. By now, he has depleted a lot of his energy. He is more than half empty. Space elent will deplete him faster. Of course, the light elent is not exactly energy efficient, at least he will have much more movent control.

The continuous explosive punches ca at him from different directions. She didn't even bother stopping her bleeding and focused on attacking Sam. Even with her speed being a bit inferior, she managed to catch up with Sam every ti.
The fight dragged on.
Sam's energy is being exhausted, bit by bit.

*SWOOSH*
Sam activated another bloodline attack of the golden sun crow. Light rays flew out of his body and covered her whole. Her mind and body are both effected at the sa ti.
She gritted her teeth and covered the distance her and Sam, trying to kick him down, however to her surprise, instead of Sam, she found a few shadow orbs.
The orbs turned into shadow mice and attached themselves to her. Once again performing the bloodline attack. She was dragged into the shadow realm again.
With her injuries exposed the corrosion of the shadow energy has a greater effect. Once inside, she couldn't do much as the shadow mice made her run circles inside. She couldn't even conjure spiritual energy.
The only way out is for her to take the damage of the shadow realm and stick with the mice.
Of course, shadow mice also cannot just stay inside the shadow realm for long. After two minutes, they brought her back.
As they are free falling, Sam is awaiting them. Rashma saw as he activated the lightning fusion. The silver lightning around him too the form of a wolf. He looked like a werewolf for a mont. Lightning conjured in his leg and at the sa ti, the sky is covered with dark clouds.
Rashma spun in the air dropping down with an axe kick.
Sam jumped up with a lightning kick of his own. The Raiju's bloodline attack.

The legs t, the residual lightning hit the dark clouds up in the sky.

The clouds conjured up an even more powerful lightning and struck Rashma from behind.
She fell on the ground, with her back charred.
Sam also landed weakly. His energy consumption is way too high. However, his energy vision told him that the other party is not done yet. Even with all the attacks, injuries, burns and shocks, Rashma's energy fluctuations didn't change much.
He stood there panting heavily, thinking of his next move. Rashma got up and looked at him with a smile. The next mont, her energy raged.
The burns that were so glaring started healing at a rapid pace. The wounds, bruises, bleeding, everything disappeared. She is back to her regular shape.
And that's not all.
Her skin tone turned tad bit red. Her veins throbbed and her eyes turned red as well. Sam felt an eerie sense of threat. His spine chilled and sweat turned cold.
His instincts are telling him only one thing. Run.
He couldn't even begin to resist the urge. He activated his space fusion without hesitation. He disappeared from the spot.
*BAM*

He didn't even know what happened. All he realized is that his face has t Rashma's fist and he was sent flying away.
He tried to use blink once again, but Rashma is already there. Not at his original position, but his destined position after the blink. She already appeared there and kicked him.
In the next few seconds, Sam beca a ball that she could kick around like she pleased. After taking around ten kicks, Sam disappeared in the middle. Rashma tried to move, but halted noticing that there are no fluctuations nearby.
Sam disappeared with the space elent, but he didn't reappear.
After a few seconds, she suddenly dashed to a certain direction. She felt so spatial fluctuations there. A humanoid figure appeared there and she punched it.
The shadow disappeared in a puff of smoke. At the sa ti, in the arena, Sam appeared.
*SWOOSH*
"I GIVE UP"
Right when the fist was about to et his chin, he yelled out loud. Rashma stopped closely. Sam let himself fall into the rubble and laid down, panting heavily.
Rashma also landed on the ground and sat there. Her aura cooled down a bit, she is also sweating and panting. There is a wide smile that is in complete contrast to the destruction two of them created. Soon, the silent arena is filled with cheers and applause.
The fight was surely great.
They really underestimated Sam. Rashma finished even her semi-finals fight in a matter of seconds, only Sam dragged the fight long enough. He used so many elents with so much proficiency that he managed to hold his own against such an overwhelmingly strong
opponent.
Soon, both of them were sent to the stands and the stage was recreated again. Initially they wanted to hold a match between the two set academy students to determine the third place, but one of them is not in a position to even stand up.
So, the third place was determined and the stage was only used to announce the final results and to inform about the team competition.
"From day after tomorrow, we will be starting the team competition. I am sure, that a lot of academies have lost their team mbers, so we are allowing you to use substitutes in their place if you wish to proceed with the participation.
If not, you can also withdraw in advance or just not attend the competition.
You should bring your full team on the day of the competition no matter what.
If you don't have the three mbers, then you are disqualified from the competition. Please
don't cause any fuss if that really happens."
With that, everyone left. For one day, the second graders can relax from this excess excitent.
Sam went back to his assigned residence and focused on his recovery. Soon, there was a knock
on the door.
He saw an expected face outside.

Dove walked in. Sam is sitting on the floor with a wine gourd and so delicious dishes in
front of him.
"Are you celebrating for getting the second place?"
"Nope, I am recovering."
She looked at him and then at the snacks in front of him. Obviously, suspicious. She just sat in
front of him and unceremoniously took the wine gourd to have a sip.
She was surprised by the taste and said.
"Do you know, that in so realms it is extrely rude to not offer such a delicious wine your
seniors?"
"In my world, it is even more rude to drink soone else's wine without asking and then complaining about it."
He took out a different gourd and started drinking.
"So, what are you here for?" He asked.
"About the team competition. Crow is still excited to join. He is recovered completely. Rashma is obviously in. If you are not going, then we have to withdraw."
"I am sure, there are other candidates who would love to have this opportunity." "True, but the teammates wouldn't love having them. Those two are asking for you. Particularly, Rashma. She is very adamant about you being the teammate."
