Once Sam delegated the tasks, he took more of a supervising role in the initial phases.
There would be ti for surgeries for all three of them and until then the elders can handle the things. All he needs to do is offer them enough guidance and ensure that they are following everything to the last instruction.
anwhile, the days went by as they busied themselves with these tasks.
Sam attended his etings and always had heated discussions with the people. Negotiations were always on the verge of breaking down until he managed to get whatever he wanted. Of course, he wondered if the negotiations are increasing the hatred more than before.
He is certain that they are not decreasing the hatred.
Anyway, he already has enough bad blood with so many people. He is sure that a little more scorn wouldn't hurt him more.
While things are going on like this on the surface, he has been doing sothing else in his own ti.
Before the etings started in the morning and after the work in their new lab is done, Sam is free to do whatever he wanted. Trike and the elders attributed to his rest ti, since even being the supervisor is hard enough with all the daily calculations and asurents.
However, contrary to their thoughts, Sam is spending that ti in one of the secret rooms of the Hub.
In that secret room with a myriad of inscriptions funneling the death energy to the central part of the room, was a cylinder made of a transparent crystal material.
The crystal cylinder is ingrained with runes in its structure. In that cylinder is a thick black fog that Sam collected from the fake prince of darkness in the academy tournant.
Sam didn't hand it over to Trike and the latter didn't ask him.
Because according to the deal, Trike is sure that Sam couldn't hold on to the black fog if he were to satisfy the conditions. Because the creation of prince of darkness involves the black fog in its final step.
He just let it stay with Sam for two reasons.
First one is, he respected Sam's possible curiosity as a researcher towards the black fog. It is a novel substance that shouldn't even exist in the world of mortals and divine. It belongs to the world of celestial and beyond.
So, he is sure that Sam would want to take a deeper look at it.
The second reason is that no one else other than Sam can hold it for long.
One of the key properties of this black fog is that it can only stay where it is supposed to stay and that is within the body and soul of the prince of darkness.
If it stays anywhere else is corrodes and consus them. Leaving nothing but empty husks and debris in its wake.
It might take so ti depending on the power and resistance of the entity it is attached to. However, in ti it will completely devour it.
Sam created modified this chamber to keep this smoke here. It will also be devoured in ti if he left it alone. However, to ensure that it doesn't happen, he is channeling the death energy into the chamber.
The smoke is very fond of the death energy and is now ignoring the other entities in process of consuming the excess energy.
Sam placed his hand on the crystal cylinder and injected so soul energy into it.

*SCREEECH*
Screams of rage and spite erupted from within the chamber. The black smoke revealed several faces. Faces of various creatures and the face that are expressing nothing but scorn and hatred towards everything.
Sam observed these faces keenly, he counted them and did so calculations in his head. After that, he took out reaper sword and the shadow sword from his storage and projected their spirits out.
*ROAR*
The blood ghost spirit of the reaper sword with his monstrous humanoid spirit is gazing at the faces within the crystal cylinder. The shadow spirit is nothing but a black mass. There is no face or eyes that Sam could make up.
But the faces inside the cylinder beca restless.
*THUD* *THUD**THUD* *THUD* *THUD* *THUD*
They crashed against the cylinder as if they are trying to break out of it. But the inscriptions on the cylinder lit up restraining them. The faces kept on making noise and tried to get out. They are alternately looking at the reaper spirit and the shadow sword spirit as if they are possessed by incontrollable hunger.
The shadow sword spirit communicated with Sam.
[The aura of these spirits is filled with evil. What is this abomination? This feels like it is
sothing that shouldn't exist among the world of living.]
"Your feeling is right. I need you to do sothing for ."
[What?]
"Interact with it. I will restrain the spirits from acting out. I just want to understand the urge. Just interact with it and see how it behaves."
[Alright]
Sam closed his eyes and tried to connect with the cylinder. While he was making preparations for the experint, the faces inside the cylinder grew more and more restless. They transford into various shapes, like the spikes trying to pierce through the cylinder, they exploded a bit, they even tried to corrode the cylinder.
But no matter what they did, the cylinder didn't budge.
Soon, Sam is done with the preparation and he made the Blood Ghost spirit and the shadow sword spirit connect with the smoke through the cylinder.
Just when the faces were about to hurriedly devour them, Sam forced a restraint. Golden runes flew over from the bottom of the cylinder and manifested into chains tying that black mass up into a small ball.
The sword spirits probed these faces for over half an hour.
Sam kept his eyes closed and connected with the emotions of those faces or rather the spirits. He could feel their urges as they tried to get close to the sword spirits.
For a mont he felt like he could understand their language. And when he finally understood it, he couldn't help but smirk a little to himself.
