Sam went to work in the lab after that.
He just focused on that day's tasks regarding the three. After that, he went back to the Hub's secret room where the black smoke is captured. He channeled his energy into the sword. The spirit has been strengthened a lot.
It is of course nowhere near the strength of the spirit of shadow sword and the reaper. But it is still strong enough. The weapon with a spirit like that would be extrely attractive to an Astral plane cultivator.

The spirit of the sword influences the growth and in turn cuts the flexibility in the sword path the cultivator could explore.
This reduces his potential by a huge margin.
Having a wrong spirit sword in the hands of a swordsman in his learning stages can be turned into a huge disadvantage.
Anyway, that is a completely different matter. The spirit albeit being weak, served Sam's purpose.
He threw the sword into the cylinder along with the black fog.
The fog imdiately displayed its faces and all of them are pointed at the sword. The sword vibrated heavily before it displayed its spirit. Since it is made from the specter, it retained its humanoid form. The humanoid form wrestled with these dozens of faces as if it is resisting their invasion.
However, it failed really badly.
The faces pulled the humanoid form into the black fog and in process the sword turned into shambles.
In front of Sam, the black fog went through a massive change in its nature. It went dormant for a mont and turned into a sphere of black smoke, before it revealed the faces again. This ti, a new face appeared in it.
The sa face as the spirit that that was just devoured.
Sam then connected with the black smoke once again. He made it attack. This ti, the smoke threw out sword rays, all the consistent with the sword style Sam used.
The experint worked. From that day onwards, apart from attending the etings and negotiating, he always proposed a battle. With various weapons each ti and so challenges are a bit hybrid. He used flaming sword styles with the challenge being about fire and sword users.
Similarly lightning and spear users, dagger and shadow elent users, he applied all kinds of logics to nurture various spirits and experinted with the black smoke.
Of course, his focus hasn't lessened on the three test subjects either. The prince of darkness project is going smoothly. The only problems ca with the specter creation and it is within Sam's calculations.
Of course, the created specters are not exactly wasted either.
From the repeated experinting with the black smoke, Sam understood sothing else. The specters are a great feed for the black smoke. While the spirits made qualitative changes, the specters increased their energy level and strength.
They are making it powerful. It is like cultivation for it. So, whenever an elder made a mistake in the energy level of the specter or if he added so soul in the mix that shouldn't be added, he directly threw that specter in the cylinder feeding the black smoke.
Within twenty days, the first candidate finished the physical training and achieved the desired results. His skin, muscles and bones all reached the desired level of strength that Sam wanted. Now it is ti for the first physical surgery. When Sam explained this part of the plan, the elders and Trike got so curious that they have been anticipating it for a long ti.
It is a combination of two surgeries. One is the marrow surgery, similar to the one he perford on Stone. A surgery in which he changed the marrow with a dragon type beast's marrow.
Now he is changing the marrow with a different type of beast's marrow. A very special beast in fact. Marrow of the devil Wyvern. It is a very close relative to the devil dragon that Kai has with him. A bit less in the bloodline hierarchy.
It has high enough bloodline potential.
The second part of the surgery is embedding the transformation gene into the young man's organs. For that, apart from the transformation gene, he also needs clear genetic and organ tissue samples of so other creatures with dark elent.
They are also of high bloodline ranking.
That day, Sam cancelled all the etings and pushed them back. The surgery started at dawn and by noon, he only managed to finish the marrow surgery. After the marrow surgery is done, he accelerated the healing process of the body and enabling the new blood to be transford.
The new blood cells imbued with the new qualities of this updated marrow. The organs are also slowly being injected with this blood rich and dark elent.
This imdiately showed adverse changes. The organs slowly started deteriorating, bit by bit.
That guy might have so affinity with dark elent, but the changes that are happening are too drastic and powerful for him to bear.
That is the reason why he needed that transformative gene surgery.
For that, he created a special took. He started with the heart first. That is the organ that experienced the most deteriorating in the smallest ti. He punctured the heart and removed a small piece of tissue with the device. In that void, he injected the new tissue along with the transformative gene.
He also laid down a very minute inscription formation around the gene. The dark energy that is flowing through the surgery table is directed towards that tissue. At a visible pace, the transformation started.
While it is going on, Sam moved to the lungs, then the liver, pancreas, kidneys, even the intestines were not left.
The rest of the day went away with changing all those organs one by one.
By midnight, the surgery is finally done and Sam was left exhausted. He collapsed on the floor leaning against the wall. He observed the healing process while chugging his wine along with
so liquid energy capsules.
He tried to recover as soon as possible.
At that mont, Trike and the other elders took the chance to observe the changes in the body. They were dumbfounded.
They are all aware of the physical strength of that young man. He was a mage and he would nowhere near be a match of a warrior in terms of physical strength, even if they are on the sa level. Even a warrior one stage below might have better physique than a mage.
The four elders completely lost words. Trike was the only one who managed to co out of the shock. Maybe it is because he doesn't have the full understanding on what it takes to
change a person like this.
"How did you do this? Did you invent this thod?" Trike asked Sam.
"You have witnessed the whole surgery directly. I am sure I don't need to answer your first
question.
As for the second one. I did. But I got a lot of inspiration for the organ surgery from the plight of one of my friends. It took a long ti to develop this thod though. But I am really satisfied with the result.
Tell the elders to not ss with that guy for the next few days. He would be in comatose state, while his body undergoes the full changes."
"These are not the complete changes?"
"No way. He would beco a completely different being. You can then compare him with the ideal requirents given by Set. You will see how much progress we have made."
Trike paused for a mont and asked.
"You said sothing about the Soul surgery, what is it about?"
"You are curious about it now?"
"Well, I never really thought what it ant. But now I saw your marrow surgery, I am just way
too curious about this."
