Sam cursed out loud. He hurriedly controlled the tablet and increased the output of the barrier to the maximum. The energy spear that ca out of the turret hit the disc. At the sa ti, the bird puppets, the other turrets all of them conjured up the energy required for the energy spear.

The opponents stopped in their tracks as soon as they felt the energy waves emitted by the puppets and the turrets.

Even Chetan and the other teammates knew sothing went wrong as soon as they saw it.

He kept the latter part to himself. He flew towards the city to see its state. This city like a lot of other cities around, was built near a place with abundant spiritual energy and the source of spiritual energy for this city are a bunch of spiritual energy veins in the ground.

If they opened it up, they could have dug half a dozen spirit stone mines with a decent output. But they built a city on it, creating a good environnt for cultivators and also as energy source for the defensive asures.

Even the defensive asures of the city, installed by the Poseidon academy, are also using this energy.

The resonance... it needs a lot of energy. It cannot create an attack out of thin air. It basically replicates the attack that already exists and it uses a bit more energy than the original attack.

The bird puppets Sam is testing right now, they are fitted with a special artificial core. One similar to the one he implanted in Stone and the Dark Prince candidates. The core has an ability to gather energy from the surroundings slowly.
