Arkiv's grip tightened around the bow, his body trembled with excitent.
"I have been waiting for this. I prepared so new stuff for you."
"Bring it on." Sam is also excited. No matter how many asses he kicked, the fight with a fellow player always excited him.
*SWOOSH*
In an instant, Arkiv raised his bow and shot an energy condensed arrow.
*BANG*
It t with Sam's bullet.
And that's just the beginning on the onslaught from both sides. The area filled with explosions, energy arrows and energy bullets collided. Sam and Arkiv didn't even move an inch. The arrows and bullets moved in weird angles that appeared unnatural in so many ways.
Niki who was standing behind Sam and was about to make a move was surrounded by Raiju, Ape and Forest bear.
They didn't speak, but Niki clearly understood what they wanted to say. She was not going to get in the middle of the fight.
After around a couple of dozen exchanges, Arkiv's arrow changed. The energy arrow twisted as it left the bow. It split into multiple arrows and attacked Sam from different directions. The attack was similar to the one Imari made. However, Arkiv took it a few steps further. Instead four of six, the arrow turned into a dozen arrows.
Sam's shooting speed increased. All dozen arrows were t with a dozen bullets, shooting them all down before they could even reach him.
"You got better."
Sam comnted.
"You got passive. You are not attacking." Arkiv replied and another arrow appeared on his arrow. This ti, it didn't split into just twelve attacks, it doubled.
This ti, Sam activated partial fusion. Partial light fusion made his hands move at hyper- speed. The energy bullets rampaged. However, Sam felt the pressure. He didn't expect that Arkiv has gotten so flexible with his thod of attacks.
The attacks were perfect for an archer, particularly when they were facing multiple opponents or soone who is like Sam, soone who can counter a bunch of attacks at the sa ti.
When Arkiv uses this thod fully, even Sam would have a problem. Because right now, Arkiv was keeping a gap between each arrow, making it easier for Sam to shoot. However, if the other party didn't do that and employed his rapid fire shooting, then this could get tricky.
And it seed like Sam jinxed itself when he thought of that.
Arkiv's hands moved rapidly as he shot one multi-arrow after another. Each release created 24 arrows and he shot five tis in a second. That was 120 arrows within a second, all following different paths, surrounding Sam and cutting off his escape routes.
Sam on the other hand, despite his partial fusion and dual guns was unable to shoot 120 tis at different angles.
He tried and only managed to do a 100. That too with light fusion. He had to block the remaining twenty with the ripple style as they closed near.
"You better not be done, Sam. Because I have more in store for you."
And the next mont, Arkiv nocked two condensed energy arrows at the sa ti. Sam had
a bad feeling and it turned out to be true. The two arrows shot out and split into twenty four arrows each.
Forty eight arrows, moving like forty eight flashes.
Sam changed the bullets in the handgun. He aid at a single point and shot them at the sa ti.
*BOOM*
Both bullets collided with ripple style. The energy explosion rippled and took out all the incoming arrows. Arkiv's grin widened as he looked at Sam.
"You went on complete defense man. You didn't fight it shot to shot. I am honestly surprised and a tad bit disappointed."
Sam felt a bit irritated when he heard those words. He wanted to punch Arkiv in his face.
'Screw it'
As the arrows ca, Sam didn't bother about standing still anymore and made his move.
*SWOOSH*
He turned into a flash and maneuvered through the barrage of arrows. He was like a slippery loach moving through the rocks in shallow waters. He missed many arrows in a hair's breadth and shot down so with those movent.
Even before Arkiv could react, Sam landed in front of him, with both guns aid at him. One at his head and one at his foot.
Arkiv of course, might have reacted slowly, but it wasn't slow enough. He pulled the empty bowstring and let it go.
*BOOM*
A shockwave sent blocked Sam while Arkiv ran away. He spun on his heel and shot an arrow. The arrows broken down moved in weird angles. They surrounded Arkiv, blocking Sam's approach, while he increased the gap between them.
Sam of course, might have slowed down, but he wasn't stopped. And he still had his guns in his hands. He shot through the obstacles and kept on shooting Arkiv. He didn't focus too much on the incoming arrows and just dodged.
The bullets were only used for attacking and he used quite a few keeping Arkiv on his toes. He kept on running while Sam kept on chasing. Arkiv's originally dominant stance in the battle was taken away. They were back to equal footing.
The surrounding people almost stopped fighting and just stared at the battle. Whether it was Arkiv's unique shooting ability or Sam's irrational movent, they were stunning to them. Despite their obvious cultivation levels that are lower than the rest, both of them put up a fight that sent shivers down their spines.
"Stop holding back, Sam. I know you can do more than just chasing around."
Arkiv said once again. Even though he was sweating and panting, he felt excited. His heart pumped like crazy. He hasn't been this excited in a long ti.
"You asked for it, Arkiv."
Sam's attacks changed. As he spun around, his guns disappeared and are replaced with a staff.
*BOOM*
The staff hit an arrow. With an explosion, the streaks of golden flas enveloped Arkiv.
