Sam went to Ling Tian and said.
"I am going to cash one of those favors you owe ." Ling Tian put the docunts on the table and looked at him seriously.
"What do you want?"
"When are you going to start accumulating points?"
"Why?"
"I need you to buy so stuff. Its fine if you can get soone else to buy it as well."
"What do you need? Tell that first."
"Inheritances."
Ling Tian sighed and said.
"You are thinking of buying the energy inheritances?"
"For now, I need to speed up my cultivation. I want other regular inheritances as well. But I can just buy them at my level. It won't be much of a problem.
I also want to see what you guys might have access to. The options at my level are way too low and unappealing."
"Its hard to buy sothing that catches your eye, Sam. They will be expensive and no one else can take that many points out apart from the academy. So, if you insist, I have to use the academy points."
Sam just stayed silent without replying and Ling Tian continued.
"The academy points must be used to develop the academy though, so it would be a problem."
"But the options in my level are way too limited. Is there no way for to just transfer my points to a senior or the elder?" Sam asked, he felt a bit frustrated.
"No, you can't. You can only shop at your grade level. The only exception is the academy points."
"Still, you do owe a couple of favors, can't you pull any strings? I did do the academy a lot of favors too in this conquest."
Ling Tian sighed and replied.
"If you really want, you can get these things from the seniors yourself. You just need to help them out in their conquests and use your favor to make a deal with them. They will help you purchase whatever you want."
"Then I would have to work harder than now. It will only increase my workload."
"Suit yourself. I cannot just take out academy's funds just for you, even if you did help make most of them."
Sam looked at him for a mont and said.
"What use is to have you owe that many favors if they are of no use. I feel like I lost a lot by doing your bidding the last two tis."
Sam stood up and walked away while rubbing his forehead. He could feel his head aching. He did have plans to dabble in the realms of the higher grades, but it was purely out of his curiosity and greed.
He didn't have many targets and only wanted to check them out for fun.
But now, he has to plan them out more carefully and participate in the worlds that he might not even be interested in. It will be such a hassle. As he walked away, without even turning around, he spoke to Ling Tian.
"I will go and improve my cultivation for a bit for the next couple of days. Prepare the list of senior groups that need my help. And tell them my new conditions. Apart from the share that I get, I need them all to use thirty percent of their points to buy stuff that I want from their grade exchanges.
If they don't do it, I am not helping."
"Alright."
Ling Tian also replied without even looking at him.
Sam went into isolation for the next two days. Along with the inheritance he bought, he also got the instructions on how to use it.
He just needs to assimilate this with his core, but he has to do it in a gradual process. Even though Sam said he was going to improve his cultivation, it was only partially true. He was thinking of a way to unlock the inheritance, and absorb the energy in a much faster way.
So, he decided to ss around with it a bit and figure out a thod.
After tinkering with it for a while, he didn't really obtain anything useful. At least not with a physical thod.
He even used observation skill.
Then he saw sothing, not too useful, but it was sothing to work with. He realized that what he held in his arms was essentially a lump of energy with a form of sentience.
It wasn't completely sentient, but sentient enough to know what its role was and what its nature was.
It cannot think and have an instinct that was lesser than the dumbest of the living creatures. That faint instinct was what keeping it from assimilating into anything else.
So, when he tried to rge it with his core, the process was to appease this and slowly make it accept the changes.
Based on that, he created a bunch of simulation models inside the divine dinsion in the next couple of days.
He left behind so complicated simulations that would take a long ti to pan out. So, after he made all the arrangents, he went back to Ling Tian.
"Did you prepare the list?"
"Yeah. The Divine Beast graveyard is still the top priority. They executed all the things that you said and they are defending against them. But these hit and run tactics are going to work only for so long."
"I understand, I will go there and see what I can do.
Did you discuss my conditions with them? I don't want to discuss it again later."
"Yeah, but they have a condition of their own."
"What is that?"
"If you don't increase the gambler academy's territory for at least 30%, then the deal is off. You won't get a penny."
"Then, what if I get more than 30? What will they do, then?"
Ling Tian grinned as if he expected this.
"I asked them that. They will increase your share from 30 to 45."
"Then, they better get ready to do that. And I hope they will cover my ass while I am in there. I am weak as fuck compared to other third graders and I don't want to kill myself by being there."
"Don't worry about it. They can help you out with that."
"Good to know. But before I leave, I need to make one more arrangent."
"What is that?"
"No one should know that I am going into that realm. No one. Except for you and the team. So, help with the cover up and a disguise to get in there. And send these trackers in. As soon as I land there, tell them to wait for .
As long as they keep it on, I can find them easily and get there."
"Alright. Don't worry about it.
You can leave in a few hours."
