Sam created a special chamber at the base.
It was just a room with so special formations added into it. The seven captives were placed in there and Sam monitored the activity through a screen.
The Gambler team noticed this and they could feel the pain of the seven captives. They were dying a slow death. The fire elental poison is invading into every cell, slowly and gradually.
They could only image the pain and they felt sorry for their enemies.
"Don't waste your ti here. Double down. Kill the enemies, importantly the academy mbers. I already gave you the required information to handle them easily.
Make their deaths public, brutal and painful.
Don't give them any leeway and play dirty.
It should spark an outrage back in the academy realm and make the Gambler academy look like a villain. So, if you have any psychopathic thoughts and emotions that you need to vent out, this is your ti."
Haziel and the rest of the mbers gulped in nervousness. But they were also a bit excited. Sam basically gave them a free pass. There are no strings and no inhibitions, they can go crazy.
In that excitent they didn't even feel weird that a second grader was making that call. If it ca from Ling Tian or so other elder, it would have definitely been more believable. But now, even Sam gave them the sa feeling.
So, they dipped out and got ready to started their onslaught.
For the rest of the day, until midnight, the gambler academy team was on a rampage. They used all of their ans to find and attack the Athena and Hephaestus team mbers. Particularly with a bunch of their elites gone in the lava lake incident, there were a lot of holes in their defenses, helping the gambler team a lot.
Every death was just as brutal as Sam wanted them to be.
Quinzz and Mae who escaped the Lava lake incident, were stuck in hard situation. Since they abandoned the teammates, the rest of the teammates are not as trusting of them anymore.
They either wanted to leave, asked for compensation or they tried to go independent without the involvent with the team.
Either way, it is safe to say that they were no longer a unified team.
Despite all the rampage the gambler team caused, they didn't manage to weed out all the mbers of the opponents and a lot of them had escaped. And the final batch of those escapees included quinzz and mae.
Just like the tables have been turned and Gambler academy beca the major stakeholder in the planet, with almost no competitors at all.
But everyone knew this would be short lived and they were right.
As soon as Quinzz and Mae left the planet and went back to the Academy realm, they went to their stations.
"I am giving up my exclusivity on the Phoenix city. I am officially requesting the help of the academy realm. I am also extending the partnership proposal to my family and I will bring in their forces."
Quinzz jumped straight to the proposal.
His face was twisted in fury. He was heaving and panting in sheer anger. He could swallow the defeat, he could follow the loss of face, but he couldn't tolerate the insult.
The insult the gambler academy cast up on him, by making him the leader that had to run away, leaving behind his teammates.
His credibility is gone and he had to buy it.
And he was buying it with the control over the planet. Of course, he is not going to use the complete realm.
"Are you sure Quinzz? You invested a lot in this planet. Now, you are giving up? I can't compensate for your investnt."
"Its fine. But I only have one condition."
"What is it?"
"I want to lead the team. I will take down the gambler academy."
"Sure. You are the candidate that I have in my mind since the start. You got the qualifications and you were the one with most knowledge of this planet."
"Thank you."
"But the problem is the Hephaestus academy. I heard Mae also went there to give the sa proposal. Do you think we need to continue the collaboration?"
"It would be your decision. I don't care."
The elder nodded and went to discuss the collaboration with them. And just like that, in a couple of hours whatever Sam dished it out to the two academy teams, ca back with reinforcents.
The Hephaestus and the Athena academies sent three squads each. Each team with two dozen mbers. A total of 144 mbers. That was just the students. Quinzz and Mae's families sent their forces as well.
A hundred mbers each.
That was a total of three hundred and forty four mbers. They still had trouble hiring rcenaries, but this large force is already big enough.
Particularly, with the civilization on this planet being so behind.
Back at the Gambler academy base, Sam and Haziel were observing the arrival of all these enemies.
Once the other teams left before, the Gambler team didn't rush to occupy the empty places. Instead, they got busy with setting things up and hiding their asses back in the base.
Taking advantage of this, Sam did two things.
One is setting up the surveillance with the bird puppets and the second is studying the local civilization.
There are humanoid creatures in here and they were powerful. They are very close to humans in terms of their genetic signature as well. But it was mostly mutated by the Phoenix genes. And these people inherited one of the major traits.
The low fertility rate.
So, Sam didn't think much about them for now. But on the surveillance side, things were set.
Now, he has a decent view of all the major locations of the planet.
"What do we do? They ca back, just like you said."
Haziel said nervously.
"Yeah, they ca back with more heat than I thought."
"So?"
"Don't worry about it, everything's under control."
