Sam brushed the stiffness off and looked at the elders coldly.
Both the people from Hephaestus academy and the Athena academy were there. It has been days since everyone was locked off inside that planet, so of course they beca anxious.
The presence of Sam inside that world, only increased their anxiety.
Sam stretched his limbs a bit and replied to Ling Tian's question.
"Everyone in the Phoenix planet committed suicide. Not a single mber of the Hephaestus, Athena academy and their auxiliary forces, survived.
They are all dead.
Now, all the local forces submitted to the Gambler academy team. We left two people behind.
I need you to send in the settlent teams in there. And tell them to make sure everything goes by before it is distributed. I didn't take my cut yet and I want to be picky this ti. There is so good quality stuff out there."
Silence reigned over the area for a mont.
Ling Tian wiped his sweat off and asked.
"What do you an?"
"You don't understand what quality stuff ans? It ans…"
"Not that, you idiot. What do you an, everyone committed suicide?"
"Oh that, they all died.
Suicide by definition is willingly trying to do sothing that will end up in taking their own life. So, they all committed suicide.
Suicide by Sam."
Another bout of silence.
It was interrupted by one sound.
*YAWN*
Sam stretched lazily and yawned.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
Several attacks of various strengths all aid at him, were shot at the sa ti. After a series of explosions and impacts, the vision cleared. Ling Tian was standing in front of Sam and the group. An energy barrier closed up, protecting them from all the attacks.
"*cough* *cough* I thought I was a goner for a second." Sam replied, with a smirk on his face."
"Ling Tian, you better handover that guy, right now. You dare send a troublemaker into a third grade realm? What did you guys do? What happened to my academy mbers?"
One of the Hephaestus academy mbers yelled in righteous indignation.
Ling Tian who wore a pretty neutral face most of the ti and who wore a frustrated face whenever he talked to Sam, was now wearing a face of anger.
And the anger was directed not at Sam, surprisingly, even if he was the reason for it. But it was pointed at the elders who made a move.
With a sweeping glance, the surrounding temperature went down. Even the old elders who were overflowing with experience, were scared shitless for a second.
"Don't go around and start attacking juniors, my fellow elders.
I might just lose it.
And you won't like the outco.
As for him being in the third grade realm… It is not against the rules. As for whatever happened inside, bla your fucking students that they couldn't do shit to a second grade student in a third grade realm.
Sam only had a team of dozen third grade mbers protecting him. How many third grade students did you send in?"
Once again, another bout of silence.
"That's what I thought.
If you want to take him away. You better bring the whole force of your academy and their backers along with it. Because this ti, I am on edge and I will not hold back.
It has been a long ti, since I took my sword out for so action. I will see to it."
The mont he finished his words, magically a path opened up for him and the group.
They walked back to the Gambler academy station.
Seats were arranged for them.
Ling Tian leaned into his chair. He felt exhausted. Like life was sucked out of him.
"I am feeling tired. Can I go back to dorm and get so sleep? I am ntally exhausted."
Sam's voice interrupted him. He was about to say sothing, but he saw the faces of Haziel and the group.
Only then did he notice how lifeless they appeared. They were frustrated and more importantly they looked like they were traumatized. He felt the need to take care of them first.
"Leave." He decided to send Sam away.
"Thanks. Don't forget my cut.
And by the way, next ti pick a team with bigger balls. These guys… they aren't up for the real deal. I had to baby sit them for the past couple of days, so that they wouldn't lose it.
To think the standards of the academy realm would be so low. Even my friends were better back when were still playing in little leagues."
He scratched his head and muttered as he went to the Gambler academy.
He wanted to sleep in the dorm. He destroyed way too much in the past few days and he wanted to rest a bit.
After he left, Ling Tian looked at Haziel and asked.
"How are you doing? Are you alright?"
Haziel shook her head and took out a small sphere.
Ling Tian checked it out and a projection appeared. He realized in an instant that it wasn't a projection. Instead, it was a soul.
But that only shocked him even more. Because what was hovering in front of him didn't look anything like a soul that he knew.
It was a mangled ss of pieces stuck together hapazhardly. There was a humanoid shape to it, but at the sa ti, it didn't.
"What is this?" Ling Tian asked.
"Sir, I didn't know what Sam was before. But now… I don't ever want to be his enemy. I don't even want to look at him the wrong way.
He hunted down, every single mber of the opponent forces. And he didn't have to swing one ti.
He used us, the information on them and the things he made.
He made their deaths so brutal… this is the final state of the soul of one of his victims. He went through excruciating pain, that his soul literally broke down. It was torn to pieces before he died.
And this one was one of the decent ones. Even the least worst one didn't leave a single finger of the opponent intact.
He…he recorded everything and he said, he was planning to release them at the right ti. You need to talk to him."
