The whole team is back in the cave by evening.
They were focused on recovery, while Sam was focused on sothing else. Three videos.
The battles between the managers and the three creatures they were targeting. What intrigued him was of course the glowing scales and their usage in the battle.
Ivar and Icarus had their beast launching energy blasts at them. But it wasn’t the sa for the other two groups. They had different difficulties.
One beast had energy claws and it can modify the attacks for both close range and long range.
The third one was even more unique, its scales are spread a lot thicker and denser all over the body. They are higher in number as well. And when they were activated, the beast itself looked like it gained an upgrade.
It beca faster, stronger, fiercer, and every move had an energy amplification boost. Even the basic claw attack, or bite attack had an energy manifestation.
It was almost like a warrior created energy manifested attacks with every single move.
Sam was impressed and inspired at the sa ti. But when he looked at the beasts that were beaten to the pulp... he sighed.
"Can’t help it. We are too weak."
Sam muttered as he took a deep breath and started examining the bodies. He really wished he examined the beasts or maybe used his observe ability while those beasts perford these attacks.
He wanted to see how this energy works for them to do sothing like that.
He tried to check their energy networks now. They are still relatively fresh kills and there is a lot of residual energy. He could get a glimpse.
And of course, he did have another way as well.
He pulled out another land croc body, of much lower level. This one is pretty much intact. Now he compared this body to the broken bodies. Based on the structure of the weaker one, he started reconnecting the three bodies.
Of course, he wasn’t healing them. He just used so binding thods to rebuild the creature as completely as possible and then started examining it more clearly.
He knew it wouldn’t be easy to actually figure it out, but he also knew it’s only a matter of ti.
Sam turned to the managers and spoke.
"You guys just need to cultivate now. I have ways to clear out the remaining small fry. Use a higher level divine inheritance and absorb as quickly as possible. You just had a breakthrough so it would take much longer ti.
The only inheritance that could actually help another breakthrough is a peak stage consummate one and its not easy to obtain.
But wait for a few more days and we could get it.
Until then absorb as many inheritances as possible and try keep trying to push to the next level.
But I would need your help again when we are establishing a formation, which would be done in a couple of days"
Sam sent them away and opened the holographic map of their designated territory. It is a pretty good chunk. Almost as big as a few cities combined.
He started marking the cleared zones within the area on the map. After that, he let out the Zoi termites.
This is one of the old friends that he hadn’t been using for a long ti. At least the beasts had so tis here and there where they could engage with battles and outside world. But Zoi termites weren’t really much useful to him after so point.
But he did keep breeding them and feeding them good things to keep up the cultivation. Still, it fell behind. The queen of the termites only hit the Divine Plane Initiation recently.
However, that’s enough for Sam at the mont.
These trees and smaller creatures will serve as the great nourishnt they need. He is sure this world will let them grow once more.
He let the termites out and following the lead of the queen they started feasting on everything green within the marked clear zones. The process was slow and moved at a snail’s pace, but it started nonetheless.
After that was done, for the next few days, Sam helped the team take down higher level beasts. He let the beasts take care of the remaining Initiation level ones. He wanted to create sothing like a suit for the beasts as well, but he couldn’t at the mont.
Any suit is only hindering their natural ability to move and fight. But there are a tonne of initiation beasts and his beasts had open hunting season out there.
So needless to say, for the next week, the forest was quite lovely.
Once the beasts are all cleared and Sam collected them all, he started setting up the formation.
He had long planned the layout and the security asures as well.
"Sam, even if we place the formation, we can at most keep the late stage consummate stage cultivators out. What about the peak stage creatures? You said there is already on this very island. How can we take care of that?"
It was Lan who asked the question. The only one among the managers who has a better knowledge of formations. Not about making them, but just breaking them. She put so extra effort after she saw Sam’s feats in the recent days.
"I see your problem. The key to a formation is the energy nodes, the core placent and most importantly the initial kick that starts from the core.
When you want to create a formation of a higher level, to take down opponents of higher strength than you, you need better nodes, core and the initial charge should also be higher.
Most people don’t consider this when they make formations.
Just controlling the energy capacity of a formation and initial charge, one could achieve many things.
For example, I can make a basic barrier formation, with the exact sa nodes, like a mortal cultivator would and I would still be able to block any person on the sa level as and even elevate it a bit higher to tackle a stronger person, if the strength difference is not too high.
The hubs are constructed with a similar principal, but I used a graduated student to do the job for . And there is a lot of material support which we won’t get here.
So, technically, we can’t really a build a formation that will keep the peak stage creatures out."
