Everyone turned to look at Gambler.
They were a bit surprised. Because Gambler’s candidate is maintaining an absolute lead right now. There is no point in helping Zeus screw his candidate over. Which only raised more concerns.
Gambler ignored their looks and continued.
"I have a proposal. Let’s just give the kids the knowledge required to cultivate faster with the Divine inheritances. The tricks passed down by the academies are amateurish at best. So, give them the real deal.
This will even the playing field a little bit."
Zeus frowned and replied.
"How could this even the playing field? Right now, Sam is already researching his own thods. And the current working thod of his, is already efficient.
If we really pass down the hidden thod, then he would apply that to his already very mature research. He is once again going to surpass the rest."
Gambler shook his head and looked at Zeus like he was looking at an idiot.
"Are you sure he won’t still surpass the rest?"
That one question stunned and made everyone forget to speak. Indeed. It wouldn’t matter whether they passed the technique or not. Based on the pattern since the start, Sam is always a step ahead because of his unique mind.
So, it really didn’t matter if they actually passed down the technique or not.
Then all of a sudden, Gambler’s idea didn’t seem that bad.
Everyone quickly agreed. Even Zeus who was initially against it, agreed anyway.
"Alright, now that it’s solved, let’s go ahead with the plan Zeus proposed. We will bring the seven calamities earlier. But since we are moving it up, at least let’s give a headsup to the kids about the calamities.
Even the ti of their arrival would be good enough."
Gambler proposed once again and everyone agreed.
The eting was over just like that.
Gambler went back to his domain and sat on his chair. Beside him, a faint wisp of light in its humanoid form was hovering around. If one looked closely, they would see the features of a sharp man. It’s none other than Ling Tian.
"Sir, you agreed so readily to give up that thod? I don’t understand why you would let Sam’s advantage diminish like this? That kid might have made it look easy. But he did put it in a lot of effort to get what he got."
"Co on, Ling Tian. Even you don’t understand now? Do you know how lonely that makes feel?"
Ling Tian didn’t speak and Gambler continued.
"The technique to cultivate using a divine inheritance, actually has sothing hidden in it. It is an opportunity for Sam that I want him to grasp as quickly as possible. And once he does... oh my... I want to see how these gods would feel. I just want to laugh just imagining their faces."
Ling Tian frowned. He didn’t understand what could help Sam so much that Gambler played such a petty trick on the rest.
He just thought that he would send the ssage to Sam as soon as possible.

Back in Darkhan.
While the gods were cooking up so clever ways to do so damage to Sam’s lead. So stupid people in Darkhan started doing sothing extrely stupid.
In the new territory Sam recently obtained.
A land croc is moving around. It’s an initial stage pretranscendent creature and its sniffing around in confusion.
The surroundings beca awfully dense with vegetation and it couldn’t even comprehend as the leaves and creepers just ca to close to it. All it knew was that the space that it could walk around is becoming less and less.
At one particular mont, the bushes behind it parted, and a bear with its huge maw wide open leaped over.
Its bite landed on the back of its neck. It didn’t try to forcefully bite it down. Instead, it just let its weight do its thing and let go when it reached the other side.
The bite still dug decently deep, bleeding the creature out a bit.
When the land croc turned around to face the bear, a vine shot out from behind, locked on to its neck and pulled it back, exposing its neck.
The bear leaped forward and clawed the neck and the stomach of the creature. The land croc barely managed to break the vine by the ti, the bear already created more distance.
Because of the slight cultivation different, Forrest bear was extrely careful. It didn’t let the land croc close the distance. The mont, when the creature even flinched, the bear made the vines ambush it, locking it in at the last mont, giving the faint opening the bear needs.
The bear wore down the croc before it landed the final blow on its neck, tearing it open. It did catch so injuries here and there, but they were minor and inconsequential compared to the kill.
Right there, the Bear tore open the beast and started feasting on its flesh to heal a little bit.
At that mont, the bear suddenly sensed sothing.
It turned to a specific direction and ran.
At that mont, Miko who was the closest manager to the bear, also noticed the bear’s movents. She just finished a battle of her own and she was keeping an eye on the bear. But before she could check what was happening.
But a man in the mask suddenly appeared in front of her.
Silver mask, silver armor and a silver sword, he is of the sa level as Miko.
A frown appeared on Miko’s face.
"This is our territory. You must be the native. You are not welco to hunt here anymore. You can leave."
Even as she was saying that, she drew her sword.
Before the man could react, she attacked him.
The swords clashed and the sparks flew, the surrounding forest was destroyed from the shockwaves. The clash lasted for over a fifteen minutes, before the man just turned around and left.
Miko sensed that sothing is wrong. She imdiately checked up on the Forrest Bear. And he wasn’t there.
