As the soul was torn apart bit by bit, the pain was overwhelming.
All of Sam's focus was forcefully drawn to that pain. No amount of lust could take care of it.
Sam had experinted with this thod many tis. He realized when the soul itself is under a different kind of attack, its completely diverted from the lust.
Not just lust. He couldn't feel any other emotion. Only pain.
Even if soone stabbed him right now, he wouldn't feel it.
As he experienced the lust calamity, he knew what the biggest problem is imdiately. It's the lack of focus. If he really broke through while facing the calamity distracted by lust, he might as well commit suicide.
But right now, he needs to be as strong as possible in the upcoming war. So, he has no other choice than resorting to such thod.
The beasts almost shed tears as they felt how much tornt Sam is going through during the breakthrough process.
And that grief turned into rage within a few seconds…
anwhile, back in Hastin village.
Parth sat in ditation, floating high above the village. He is calm and serene. As if he was experiencing the most peaceful mont of his life.
The village is chaotic. Everyone is on move to complete their assigned task before the enemies co forward.
At the outer circle of the village, several bone pillars slowly and gradually rose from the ground. The pillars after reaching a certain height, curved inward, all of them moving towards the centre of the village.
As they did, more and more thinner and smaller bone pillars ca out of the ground. Along with several leathery veins made out of the tends of the beast.
They all weaved together, creating a do over the village, covering it completely.
Not even a ray of light could go past it. The whole village is sealed.
All the regular mbers and people below the Divine Plane were all sent to the village center. The divine plane cultivators, except for the consummate stage ones, stayed within the do too. But they got ready with their equipnt. They are ready to join the battle at any given mont.
The consummate cultivators on the other hand spread out, creating a periter away from the village.
Throughout the process, Parth stayed silent, not even his four brothers showed up around him, did he move or open his eyes.
The village reached complete serenity with the bone do protecting it.
Now, Hastin is ready for war.
And of course, Hastin is not the only one ready for the war.
At the sa ti, back in Saxon main base.
Two consummate peak stage cultivators of different factions, Myrmon and Shin looked at Bewulf who is still struggling to get out of his restraints.
But both of them knew that if he really wanted to, he could get out of them. It is just his way of protesting.
"Stop with your act. The prep is done. We are making a move. You can go ahead and make your move."
Myrmon said in an annoyed tone.
Bewulf paused.
"I can take revenge?"
"Yes, go ahead. Go fight Parth or fight Sam. Or whatever you want to do. Go ahead and do it. You are not included in our attack patterns, since I know that you are so desperate for revenge. You have free will."
Bewulf grinned madly and ran off.
Myrmon looked at his rear and sneered.
"Such an idiot. How did he even go through the breakthrough process? How co his freaking mind didn't collapse? He should have died of stupidity by now."
"Alright, no need to talk shit. His stupidity does work in our favor. So, show so gratitude."
"Let's hope, he doesn't ss things up.
Anyway, go back to your place and send your people. We need to start the attack.
But before that, we need to make sure that Parth plays by the rules. That ans we need to play by the rules. By no ans, people of higher level should attack the people of lower level. Unless they were provoked for a direct fight…"
"Alright, stop nagging.
We all know the rules. How long have even be fighting? Why do you even have to say so much? Just go and do your tasks."
Both Shin and Myrmon left.
anwhile, Bewulf reached the destination.
Sam's base.
Sam is in the middle of breaking through.
Bewulf who was a couple of miles away, is looking around warily.
He is worried about two things.
One is Parth.
If Parth makes an appearance here, Bewulf is gonna die for sure.
The second thing is, Sam's weird stuff.
He still couldn't comprehend that shadow world and how Sam managed to utilize it as a weapon.
So, he made sure there are no nodes or anything else set up, even in the depths of the sea.
All he saw were the regular sea creatures and no anomalies.
He also didn't approach the base directly. He moved slowly, with extre caution.
While he did that, Sam finished his breakthrough.
He spat out so blood. His nose bled, so did his eyes and ears.
All the accumulated lust is gone. But of course, the new butterflies are already trying to do the damage.
But in his sea of consciousness, now there are two fragnts of his soul. One is of higher level, matching his pretranscendent state, while the second one is still in Initiation state.
Both souls right now are the sa entity and at the sa ti different entities. By manipulating his souls, Sam amplified the feeling of lust in the lower level soul, which is not enough to effect his higher level of sea of consciousness and body.
The butterflies all flocked to that lower level soul fragnt. Sam is still a bit irked with constant thoughts of arousal, however, it is extrely bearable. He doesn't even to worry about losing focus in the middle of the battle.
"Now that we are back in business… let's raise the curtain to this war. By slaughtering a Demi God."
