There’s always been a different story in the very beginning, it’s just that the perspective has been chosen as a ans to tell the story. Within this world, there are a ton of stories etched even with the appearance of the Mc, it’s just that my novel can only predict so little about the future. That’s why I strayed away from that path if I wanted to find out the mysteries of why I was sent here, the first clue I found is to dive into a story beyond my book filled with unspeakable dangers and thrill of a lifeti
[System: You’ve arrived at Floor One Ancient Ruins, you’ll be sent to your chosen location, please wait in the teleportation circle]
"Lilith here’s your Mask back, put it on before we enter our chosen bio," Morris gave her Mask after she borrowed it to conceal Charlotte’s identity
"Boss, Boss why do we need to wear these Masks, I’m not complaining but aren’t we here on a stealth mission if I rember correctly?" Kyo was curious about the need for their Mask that wasn’t questioned by the rest and followed his orders without any questions
"The Mask? I think I told you guys that once we enter a Bio there will be a ton of Deities that will be able to stream us. Along with it being recorded by the system and later available as a streamable video, the mask is just for privacy and stuff. You wouldn’t want a Deity looking through all your stats right?"
"Is that so I thought it was just a matter of I don’t know a uniform or symbol of our group since the only difference these masks have is their design. They have the sa effect as a different variety of weapons placed into one item," Zeke along with the rest placed their mask after they were inford of its importance to protect their identities if sothing were to go wrong
’Well, that’s not the only reason why we’re wearing a Mask, recently I made a few of my subordinates make a ton of boot-legged copies of the mask. Not only did I get Felix to watch over those guys I even managed to spread a ton of players that wear our Masks. This is the only ti I’ve co to like that there are imitators in this world, Reputation, and Terrible rumors will not even disturb one bit, I’ll be glad if our nas beca more sinister,’
After they waited for a short period, the circle within their feet glowed stronger than before with every second passing until they were teleported to their chosen area. A place filled with players from left, to right, and center fighting a bunch of mobs and searching every area for any hidden chanism that would lead them to the next bio. Along with a few restrictions that made the ga fair by making a few skills unable to be activated upon entering the bio
[Special restrictions: There will be a few skills that would be great in this sort of situation but because this is a fair ga you won’t be able to have any kind of advantage. This is the list of the banned skills we wish that you won’t try anything that might anger the GM’s
Banned skills:
(Treasure seeker)
(Trap detection)
(Multiplier)
(Golden eye)
(Lock picking)
(Teleportation)
(Luck)
(Drop rate boost)
Special privileges:
Dinsional housing - You can create your own ho in a distorted space
Free Healing - If the players are inside the Safe zone they’ll be healed
Ancient Tokens - An event currency that will only be useable within the Grand Labyrinth
Belongings - If a player were to die outside the Safe zone they’ll drop their belongings that will be taken by the one that found the body or killed the said player]
"Morris, why did we co in this Bio? I thought you said you wanted to claim most of the points in this trial?" Esther found it odd that they’ve chosen the least populated area for their route until they reached the end
"This goofball has figured sothing out," Jin answered her question after he saw his friend that was engrossed in reading the explanation of their Trial
"What do you an by that Sir Jin?" Quon asked along with the rest overly curious about sothing easy to predict
"Looks at the restrictions it’s all about treasure-seeking and multiplier ban, at one point this restriction makes this bio pretty much well shit. On the other hand, if the GM’s are limiting the abilities of the players then that ans what’s inside bound to have so incredible value. Goes to show that Morris hasn’t been taking a break from his research the player servers are talking shit about this bio, that made old Whitey over there curious about this place," After his explanation, they seem to notice that everyone else wasn’t many people that were searching for a puzzle, instead, they only entered the Bio because of it’s lesser mob spawn rate compared with the other 2 options
[What are you doing?]
’I’m reviewing all of these players’ shit posts on the server it’s not that accurate but I found a ton of clues concerning this bio,’
[I don’t know why you chose this place out of the other 2 options Morris, I heard so gossip about this place amongst the others. Yet why did you even pick this in the first place? Don’t tell the stupid Sages’ influence has gotten the better of you]
’I’m seeing so patterns once I saw the 3 Bio options,’
[What did you notice?]
[I’m a little curious as well did you figure sothing out]
’Well, The Cage Bio houses a lot of monsters it’s great for farming Exp, the downside is that it has the most players along with the cooldown. The Ruined Workshop Bio stores a ton of weapons and items that reaches Uncommon Ranking and above, the problem is that it has a ton of traps that will kill anyone that took a single step. Then there are The Ancient Ruins apart from the other 2 Bio this has the lowest mob spawn rate and least traps in the beginning, along with the fact that this is the only place where you can access a hidden room that stores a ton of treasures,’
The more he thought about how peculiar this place was from the rest of the Bios along with the restrictions that were higher compared to the ones given in the other Bios. He noticed sothing was a little suspicious why would this place be the one that’s completely different from the rest, it doesn’t have anything that would make it appealing to the players yet it has the highest restrictions. Sothing wasn’t right about this place making him excited about his findings even before he could even start his journey
"I’m finished with my research everyone let’s get movi~" He heard a familiar beeping noise within his head that he previously heard not too long ago, without a doubt it was the mysterious system. But why would it respond to his current location? Why was it even activated even though he wasn’t close to any of his characters? He was curious about what the system wanted him to accomplish so he opened the system to find another mission
([Rewrite system: Anomaly detected, an untold story is about to unfold within your very eyes. You’ll be given a mission once you’ve managed to unlock the requirents])
Who would’ve thought that I would be later involved in a story that I have no knowledge about, a story outside the perspective of the main character? Why is it that the system is leading to a different story than my own, I have a ton of things that I wanted to be answered but the first thing I needed to do was to make my first move. In this story outside my novel, there aren’t any heroes nor chosen saviors of the people it only holds a bunch of players that seek survival
A voice that was similar to the one he heard from the ti he dodge Hugo’s attacks was echoing within the system. A foul and wicked Aura was the only thing that appeared in his surroundings whilst his figure is covered in a shadow that can’t be extinguished even with the brightest light. It calls his na over and over as he lounges on his seat viewing every move he takes
([It looks like it’s about to begin, I wonder how you’ll be different from the rest. Are you truly worthy of being able to uncover the truth? I guess will just have to find out, better not disappoint us, Christoper Morris. I don’t know why you were allowed to beco the one that sits in this position, why would they choose soone as ordinary as you but the ti of complaints has long passed away instead of complaining I’ll watch your every move])
