A mole is a person dispatched to handle espionage or assassination and is mostly known as an information chip. A hidden drive amid foreign land while they mimic their surroundings. This profession was hardly known in this day and age but in the world of trials nes like these can be found anywhere

"Oh, Shin! What brings you here at this sort of ti, and what’s more you’re paying a visit to soone like . Perhaps, did you figure sothing out?" This encounter of theirs was known to only a few and most of them were not a single one of Chaerim’s group

"You... I thought there was sothing off about it. Do you think im a fool? The mont Hugo’s friend or whatever joined us my position change from an attacker to a defender," He gave a villainous smile in front of her question and she responded by threatening his life with a blade near his chest

"Hehehhehe... guess I underestimated you, sorry about that. I knew you’d co here once you got the chance, are you conflicted? Can’t bla you, before this world you’re nothing but a tool for destruction–"

Shin yelled at the top of her lungs. "Shut up!! Don’t remind of my past you, you scum of a prophet! Why did you save ? I get it now. The reason why im out of place... I was supposed to die and be replaced, aren’t I right?"

Once he notices her daggers shaking along with her grip, from not giving a fuck his whole mood changes to match her tone. "Okay, okay, I’ll answer your questions. Even though you’re such a bitch I can’t forget you’re still a kid in the end. I’ll tell you why I saved you, so ya better listen up–"

Soon her dreams were cut and Shin Chaerim awaken from her slumber with the voice of her comrades near her side. "Shin! Wake up sleepy head, it’s been two days you need to get up. Hugo’s calling for all of us, it seems urgent so can I ask you to go there by yourself? I still need to check on Gale since he hasn’t fully recovered from tanking all those hits,"

’... Yoona?’

Sue rises from her bed and replied. "Got it, tell him I’ll be a little late... im going to take a bath, and make sure that idiot cos! He’s always a slob whenever he gets beaten, it’s not like he wouldn’t heal,"

"On it!"

Shortly Chaerim heard her voice vanishing from the other side of her door and footsteps indicating her departure. She sighed deeply upon waking from the mory that haunts her to this day and the truth of her fate. Instead of wallowing in her self-pity, she undressed herself revealing countless wounds etched to her flesh. Before the trials, she was an orphan raised as a child soldier raised in a world closely similar to Earth yet magical. That world had no advancent in science but was full when it ca to the mystical arts

[Character: Shin Chaerim (Side character)

Nationality: Korean

Birthplace: North Korea

Previous occupation: Combatant, Spy, Scout, Assassin

Plot armor: Hand-to-hand combat, Nimbleness, Dagger arts, Stealth

Character introduction: The edgy friend character of Hugo Miller with the role to support, accompany, and bond with one another. Supposed to be dead but with the intervention of a certain soone she’s alive with no purpose. Sothing to note is that she’s cranky, annoying, short-tempered, and murderous. Due to her attitude, the readers didn’t like her company and later on, she was written off with a death sentence]

On the lowest floor, Hugo was restless on the stool he sat waiting for the arrival of his comrades. "... sigh am I asking a lot? I know we’ve been treated, but what about their ntal health? The trauma of losing must have gone through their heads, but I can’t bla them... that demon wasn’t anyone we could’ve faced, it was one of the four heavenly demons. Is this the karma he spoke of—"

"Hugo! What’s the big deal, I’ve been calling you since a minute ago, what are you muttering about?" Shin took a seat and her foot was on top of the table and she slouches on her seat

"Oh, it’s nothing, just thinking about this whole thing with the invasion, demons, and worse the Demon lord of all disasters. It’s a complete ss, I don’t know what to do, he’s right... I shouldn’t have made things complicated,"

The current main character was a fool, childish, and like a child blind to the reality of the world. Before he could get his character developnt, he was uncertain of himself, the confidence he once had were nonexistent. As of now, he’d tasted the truest potency of dread and despair, whilst the feeling of misery was strangling his neck

’Is this what he ant?’

"Listen up, whether you admit it or not, you got touchy-feely with them aren’t I right? It’s wonderful that you’ve made a friend or two, but that is why you died! The raid from that guild was supposed to be your cause of death and I ddled with that fate,"

"Then... im alive and well because of you, then the ti when your mirage saved , that would’ve slowed him down. I get it. You don’t have to say it, I was supposed to be his trigger. I need to die so he could open his eyes to the reality of this world. Then why did you save huh!!?" Slowly her eyes began to produce a hint of tears and their atmosphere grew darker by the second

"I need an eye... I wouldn’t have intervened if it wasn’t necessary. Do you think im the only prophet? Many have read the Book of Fate authored by our progenitor the great seer, Reborn Flas. After that the prophets requested to participate in the World of trials," He goes on spewing bullshit with a dash of lies and a large number of truths added in the mix

"The prophets began using the Book of Fate to their advantage, ssing the course of the future. The reason why I hadn’t t with your group in the slightest was because I’ve been dealing with those fuckers. The mont the ship began to steer clear of the original path the more likely were all to be dood by unknown dangers,"

"Why can’t you just find the progenitor? You know, the person you ntioned before, Reborn Flas... if he’s all-knowing then why isn’t he doing shit, and giving the responsibility to a bunch of nobodies. If he’s that great then why do we still have to count on the likes of you?" When her eyes t with his she could feel the severity of her answer and the tension rising from his body

’Ah, shit!!?’

[What’s wrong? It was going great why did you pause?]

’What do you an? I already said all the shit I practiced I don’t have anything left to say,’

[Make sothing up! You’re already lying as it is, what can another lie do to worsen this very mont? Just lie god damn it]

’Okay, okay, geez you have no chill,’

His expression remain cold and once he got his lines all sorted he spoke with a tone filled with anguish. "... there’s a lot of things that can easily destroy the world. Reborn Flas is handling the ss that we wouldn’t imagine facing. As the second in the hierarchy of the prophets, it’s my utmost duty to surveil the key figures,"

"Then why are you leaving our side— Arghh!" Before she could finish her words a strong grip made its way to her shoulder

"Are you even listening? I just said the other prophets went rogue and began changing the path given by Reborn Flas. But that doesn’t an I didn’t have a backup plan, the reason why I saved you. Out of all the key figures fated to die, you’re the most capable of them all," From his inventory he brought forth a scroll unlike anything else, it harbored the power of the divine desirable by many and smudged it on her mug

"I want you to beco a vassal of ’The Forgotten Sage’ When we fought side by side in the laboratory I knew... just from the looks of it you have an untapped potential to be a dual attribute. I’ll make you the second Spell thief,"

Shin latched her arm around his neck and pull him closer before it shifts to a neck lock. "Co on cheer up, Hugo! This isn’t like you, it’s not your fault okay... plus that guy said he’ll deal with it, and he did. I’ll admit the 2nd trial was rewarding but at the cost of what? Facing your mistakes and learning from them is better than walking away. So cheer up,"

She wasn’t that affectionate but even if she didn’t show her appreciation everyone knew she cared in her way of doing so. "Thanks... hahaha, I needed that, to be honest, I was unsure if it was worth the risk. I’ll be discussing this later, but since you’re here might as well tell you. I’m thinking of going to the forbidden forest to find the cursed holy sword,"

Shin had no clue but her chatter with Hugo was sent to a figure who lurks in the depths of the shadow. A place reeking of death, anguish, and suffering, a wasteland splattered with blood, the Demonic realm. In this place, a demon was happily monitoring their every move. Her eyes were a cara, her ears transmitted the audio, and behind that footage was the lord himself

[System: Because of the pact you made with your newly appointed Vassal, the Avatar can now monitor their every move]

’Cursed holy sword... I rember now, that’s the reason why he’s stressed out. I can’t bla him, the princess/future saintess is the only one capable of dispelling the looming darkness it holds. Guess I found a clue, I’ve already mastered the spells I needed inside the forbidden library,’

[Finally! I was bored out of my mind waiting for you to finish that damn book! I can finally witness the best part of the trials, conflict, murder, tactics, and death]

"I can’t leave you hanging, it’s ti to make our move... the other way of gaining exp is absorbing Demonic aura. If that curse requires a Saint then I might have found a new al. Before that, it’s ti to conquer the other land in the demon realm. Those fuckers that didn’t see as their king will die. It’s ti to have a little taste of war!"
