To capture a Neutral City, one had to destroy its Heart of the City. To destroy the Heart of the City, one first had to clear out the defending NPCs. To clear out the defending NPCs, one first had to demolish the city walls. And to even attack the city walls, the first step was to destroy the Neutral City’s City Shield.
Attacks from the defending NPCs inside the City Shield could pass through it to strike Shen Fei and his forces, but the attacks from Shen Fei’s side were stopped cold by the Shield.
He recalled from the Divine Capital’s free inheritance data that its Fanghu Cave Heaven had a City Shield with ten million health. Now, after one volley from Zhang Qiqiang’s tanks, Shen Fei learned that the City Shield of this small city had three million health. All the players who had inherited ranged abilities began to unleash their strongest attacks from behind the protection of the Close Combat players. At the sa ti, a crew organized by Li Yunlong also deployed whatever conventional weapons were still operational—Cannons, machine guns, bombs, and so on.
Countless attacks bombarded the Shield. Instantly, a kaleidoscope of colors enveloped the City Shield, and its durability began to tick down—by single digits, and at tis, even by fractions of a point...
From his position at the very front of the Heaven-Reaching Gang’s formation, Shen Fei saw that their attacks were barely scratching the surface.
It really is tough. The 4.3 update ca too soon! The players’ inherited abilities are still too weak. Right now, even Zhang Qiqiang, who’s at the apex of all players, can only deal double-digit damage with a full tank volley.
