The newly added Great Dao on my body is inexplicable, so I simply attributed it to so-called fate.
Jiang Shu’s identity now is not rely a True Disciple of the True Martial Sect; he’s also the number one of the younger generation and the Deputy Sect Master of the True Martial Sect, with a high status, and the skills he possesses need only a simple explanation; there’s no need to justify to anyone.
"Your brief words carry countless life-and-death crises."
The Supre Sect Leader sighed,
"We are outside the barrier, constrained by the Demon Venerable, truly unable to lend a hand."
"It is the Human Clan that owes you."
They are Daoist Venerables of the Chaos Hole Realm and are well aware of the strength of the Dragon Clan’s Demon Venerable Avatar. Especially since Jiang Shu single-handedly stirred the entire Demon Race into chaos, they admitted they could not have done such a thing if they were in Jiang Shu’s position.
"I am a prodigy of the Human Clan; working for them is sothing I should be doing."
"Moreover, throughout my cultivation journey, since joining the True Martial Sect, I have benefitted countless tis from the sect. Even when I was weak, it was the sect that was always protecting ."
Jiang Shu cheerfully waved his hand, "The thought that the Human Clan owes is too heavy."
The Supre Sect Leader shook his head and stopped speaking, but in his heart, he already thought about what compensation should be given to Jiang Shu as so form of apology.
Jiang Shu followed up with a question, "Master, Supre Sect Leader, now that our Human Clan has broken the realm barrier and even conquered the Chaotic Demon Sea, it is precisely the ti to push forward. But why are we retreating beyond the barrier instead?"
This doesn’t match his understanding of the Eight Great Sects.
Especially the True Martial Sect.
Zi Ji Daoist Venerable suddenly sighed and said, "The Demon Race has gone mad; they have begun digging up their foundations, disregarding all costs to push us back."
Such rampant slaughter by the Demon Race in Human Clan territories has never happened in the long history of the Demon Race.
But now the Human Clan has not only invaded the Demon Domain but even sent forth armies in a manner that looks like they want to annihilate the Demon Domain.
Inside the Demon Domain, warfare continues without rest, with many surrender factions and rebellions appearing. Under internal and external troubles, the demon high-rank officials made a decisive order, strictly enforcing martial law and mobilizing every available resource.
"If that were the case, it wouldn’t be enough to stop our advance."
The Supre Leader supplented,
"The reason we say they’ve gone mad is because they’ve brought out an ancient Great Array, forged with flesh and blood, capable of absorbing the essence and flesh for nearly endless attacks."
"They’ve driven those demons yet to develop intelligence to that location, intending to go down together with the Human Clan."
This is a formation of foundational tier, only to be used in a mont of life and death.
But now, though the Demon Race appears weakened, they are still the strongest race; no Demon Venerable or even Demon Lord level powerhouse has fallen yet.
It’s worth noting, at the highest level of combat power, the Demon Race has always slightly surpassed the Human Clan. In a true showdown, even those of the Demon Venerable Realm would step onto the battlefield, and the strongest of the Demon Lord level might appear too; who wins and who loses is still unknown.
The internal situation of the Demon Race is already complex enough, and what they are doing now—aside from adding fuel to the fire—serves no real purpose.
"They must have so plans."
Jiang Shu directly judged.
Zi Ji Daoist Venerable nodded and said, "Absolutely, they do."
"The Eight Great Sects have sent countless strong individuals to investigate, but haven’t uncovered anything."
It is the top-secret of the Demon Race; perhaps not even the Demon Monarchs know about it, much less the Human Clan.
"Speaking of which, the contingencies you left in the Demon Race truly played a vital role; with the help of the Fox People Clan, we were able to clear the Chaotic Demon Sea in such a short ti. Now most of their tribe is under the protection of the True Martial Sect."
The Supre Sect Leader added.
This was Jiang Shu’s commitnt to the Fox People Clan, to Hu Yi, and it has now been fulfilled.
Buzzzz!
The Void trembled, and an elderly figure erged from the Void, wanting to speak, but when he looked down, he saw Jiang Shu looking back at him; his eyes revealed a delightful surprise.
He wore a dark blue robe, yet it could not hide his fierce aura; his age-spotted beard made him seem like an old lion, formidable, as he laughed heartily, quickly reaching Jiang Shu’s side and patting his shoulder with laughter.
"Daoist Monarch Taixuan!"
"At last, I see you in person! You indeed are a rare youth talent just like the legends say!"
"Zi Ji, why didn’t you tell us this young lad has returned?"
His voice was loud, making the Great Hall buzz, but it did not reach outside.
His seniority is impressive, enough that even Zi Ji Daoist Venerable must call him "Master Uncle," a carefree and flamboyant figure mostly mingling in the mortal world until coming back for the war.
"Taixuan, this is Cangming Daoist Venerable; you should call him Master Ancestor."
Zi Ji Daoist Venerable reminded, Jiang Shu also paid respects but was held by Cangming Daoist Venerable.
"True Martial Sect mbers don’t need such formalities."
He casually took a seat and then tossed an antiquated-looking ring to Jiang Shu.
"I hear you practice the Desolate Dao, but it’s not complete. This Great Dao was extracted from an old man from the Demon Sect, complete with a thod to practice it. No need to worry about errors; I have verified it."
"Consider it a eting gift from , as your Master Ancestor."
"Well, I originally ca here to ask if you’ve been found, but since you are back now, I won’t disturb you and your Master, I’ll take my leave; many matters await , you see."
After speaking, he didn’t even wait for Jiang Shu to give thanks before disappearing.
"This..."
Jiang Shu was sowhat dazed, "He has always been like that, don’t mind it."
Zi Ji Daoist Venerable laughed,
"Just take what he gave you without worry."
"He’s now in charge of the punishnt matters of our Human Clan’s army; you should realize what kind of person he is."
As the saying goes, there’s no order without laws, irrespective of the power size, there’s always an organization similar to the Punishnt Hall.
Before a large battle, rules are more vital than ever.
This Cangming Daoist Venerable manages the punishnt affairs of the entire Human Clan army, demonstrating his capabilities.
"In his youth, he was the Hall Master of the Punishnt Hall of the sect."
The Supre Sect Leader comnted with admiration,
"Don’t let his casual deanor deceive you; that’s only because you handle things uprightly, and he appreciates you."
"You haven’t interacted with him much, so you don’t know his thods."
"In the era he was situated, just his na was enough to stop a child from crying."
"If you get the chance, go visit the Punishnt Hall and see the miserable state of the Demon Sect powerhouses caught by him."
Hearing the elder masters talk this way, Jiang Shu relaxed.
True Martial Sect is known for a fighting nature, with prohibitive acts sotis occurring, thus its punishnt’s severity is one of the best among the Eight Great Sects.
True Martial Sect’s Punishnt Hall disciples are massive burly n who can almost run horses on their arms, not lacking the exceptional youths at True Inheritor Disciple Level.
Cangming Daoist Venerable to manage the punishnt of the entire Human Clan army reflects his skills.
"Then I’ll take my leave first to perfect my own Great Dao."
Upon returning, Jiang Shu first wished to perfect his own Great Dao. Initially thinking he needed so effort to find a Demon Sect strong practitioner of Desolate Dao, fate has co to him upon returning.
"Go ahead, go ahead."
Jiang Shu’s return delighted the Supre Sect Leader greatly.
Knowing Jiang Shu’s impatient nature with fate before him, he’s eager to proceed.
"Once out from seclusion, rember to communicate with the senior disciples."
Zi Ji Daoist Venerable had retreated long before the battle, not seeing this disciple for a long ti but saying nothing more, everything kept in heart.
