Having cultivated Martial Arts across Two Realms, Jiang Shu’s understanding of the human body’s ridians, internal organs, and acupoints far surpassed those of the sa Realm. A few casual words of guidance from him were like a divine revelation to this Hua Jing Master, as if he were hearing the voice of an Immortal. The Master wished he could follow Jiang Shu day and night to seize an opportunity for a breakthrough.

"Jiang Shu... what is the grand eting that Master talked about just now..."

After returning ho, Jiang Yongyi swallowed and whispered in a low voice.

Today’s shocks were simply too nurous. But whether it was the Martial Saint Realm or the battle in Fusang where one man defeated a thousand soldiers, these concepts were still too remote for him. He couldn’t comprehend them directly. But the grand eting was different. It was the most eye-catching conference in the Xia Country. So of its mbers, if transported to ancient tis, would hold positions equivalent to the highest-ranking ministers. Jiang Shu, unknowingly, had grown to this extent.

"It should be."

Compared to his parents, Jiang Shu was naturally more composed. In terms of Martial Arts Realm, he should be much stronger than a typical Martial Saint of an advanced cultivation stage. When it cos to global influence, he alone had defeated thousands of enemies. Who knows how many countries wanted to extend an olive branch and offer him unbelievable terms? It was just attending a conference, nothing significant. If it weren’t for the need to cooperate with the Xia Country to acquire the Essence Blood of a Sixth Rank Mutant Beast, Jiang Shu would have preferred to spend more ti with his parents.

"Dad, Xiao Yan might still be in the Heaven and Earth Secret Realm, so let’s wait for Xiao Yan to co back before we get together. We’re in no rush. Once these affairs here are settled, I’ll accompany you to Shengjing; we can treat it as a vacation."

"I won’t go anywhere for the next few days; I’ll just stay at ho with you both."

A full moon quietly rose. Jiang Shu’s voice was gentle, like that of a Hypnotist. After experiencing great emotional upheaval, rest was what people needed most.

After escorting his parents back to their bedroom, Jiang Shu also returned to his own room.

The room was spotless; even the corners of the table showed signs of recent wiping. Clearly, during the half-year he had been away, his mother hadn’t neglected to clean it.

A gentle breeze stirred the thin curtains by the window.

Inhaling the lingering scent of laundry detergent on the mattress, Jiang Shu closed his eyes. During those years in the Da Jing Dynasty, because he couldn’t travel between worlds, he had been on edge every single day, never daring to relax. Now, listening to his parents’ snores from the next room, he gradually relaxed every cell in his body, perford his Visualization of thunder, and sank into a deep sleep.

「The following day.」

It was as if he had awakened from a long dream, like a newly hatched chick, like a fresh sprout erging from the soil. Jiang Shu expelled the turbid qi from his body and drew a strand of the world’s Spiritual Energy, bathed in the morning sun, into his abdon.

His body was like a Great Pill; Primordial Power continuously filled over a hundred acupoints.

Outside his room, from the kitchen, faint sounds reached his ears.

"Keep your voice down. Go check if Jiang Shu is awake. I’ll render so pork lard first... No, just stay here beside . It’s been so long since I last made noodles; help watch it..."

"I’ll do it."

"What can you do? You cooked all the dishes last night. Jiang Shu said he’d stay with us for a few days this ti, but who knows if he might leave today. The Jiang Shu now isn’t like he used to be. He has his own important matters to attend to; how can we, as his parents, tie him to our side?"

"While he’s still ho, I’ll make him a bowl of his favorite noodles. That will set my heart at ease..."

Lying in bed, Jiang Shu remained silent. Only when the pork lard was sizzling in the wok and he heard his father’s tiptoeing footsteps at his door did he turn over. A few minutes later, he walked out of his room.

"Hey, Mom, how did you know I was craving fried noodles? I feel like it’s been almost a year since I last had them."

He stretched, took a deep breath, his narrowed eyes filled with pleasant surprise.

"Look at your craving! Go brush your teeth; it’ll be ready soon."

Pushing Jiang Shu, who was inching towards the kitchen, away, Xu Lizhi couldn’t stop the corners of her mouth from turning up. She felt invigorated.

The aroma of rendered lard and noodles filled the kitchen.

Xu Lizhi dished out the largest portion and placed it on the dining table.

By then, Jiang Shu had finished washing up. He picked up his chopsticks and, heedless of the scalding heat, took a large mouthful. A distinct SLURP echoed amidst the rising steam.

"It’s hot! Eat slower."

"I can’t help it; Mom’s noodles sll too good."

"No matter how good they sll, eat slower. What do you want for lunch? Mom will make it for you," Xu Lizhi asked sowhat cautiously as she placed a smaller bowl of fried noodles on the table, blowing on it gently.

"Let’s have sweet and sour fish. That’s a dish only Mom makes best. Dad has been trying to learn for so long but still hasn’t grasped the essence," Jiang Shu flattered. Beside him, Jiang Yongyi’s hand, holding his chopsticks, visibly paused, but he said nothing and continued eating his noodles.

"Of course! How could his clumsy attempts at cooking compare to mine?" Xu Lizhi said with so smugness. Suddenly, as if rembering sothing, she asked, "Jiang Shu, did you co straight ho this ti? You haven’t contacted anyone else?"

"Yeah. In Fusang, all communications were cut off. My phone was destroyed early in the fighting, so how could I contact anyone?" Jiang Shu shook his head; his bowl was completely empty, every last drop of soup drunk.

"Then you should go see Ye Zhenzhen. You have no idea. After you left, she single-handedly managed that huge pharmaceutical company. Your dad and I don’t understand any of it, but she patiently explained every inco and expenditure to us. Two months ago, she even fainted in her office and was hospitalized. When your dad and I rushed to the hospital, she’d already had a check-up, and they said there was nothing physically wrong with her. We don’t know what the issue was. Your dad and I guessed she was just too exhausted, so we’ve been telling her to go to the company less often recently."
