"So what should we do now?" Luo Qianqian looked around in bewildernt. Hidden by the trees, it was unclear whether there were any people around, friend or foe. "Could it be, we settle this one-on-one? Rock, paper, scissors to decide the winner?"

But, driven by curiosity, fear, and hope, she slowly walked backward until she saw a pair of blood-red eyes behind a tree.
"Ahhh!!!" Luo Qianqian promptly sat down on the ground.
"Stop screaming," the man bit down on his teeth harshly. "Be quiet, or you’ll attract attention."
The voice sounded sowhat familiar. Luo Qianqian furrowed her brow and peered toward the person sitting against the tree on the ground.
"Bai Yixian?" Luo Qianqian was stunned. "How co you’re here?" She quickly moved closer, scrutinizing the person she hadn’t seen for a long ti.
Bai Yixian was not in good condition, evident from the bloodstains on his hands. As Luo Qianqian drew near, she detected a strong sll of blood and wrinkled her nose. "What happened?"
Bai Yixian shook his head, not offering an answer. "How co you are here?" When he first saw the small figure passing by him, he instinctively hid. But hearing the familiar, incessant chattering, he called out the na purely by guesswork, not expecting it really to be her. He was startled, so much so that he montarily forgot the pain from his wound.
Luo Qianqian took out her tiny flashlight and examined Bai Yixian’s wound closely, but Bai Yixian snatched the flashlight away. "We can’t use this here; it will draw attention." In the pitch-black night, devoid of people, the sudden appearance of a light would surely catch the eye.
Luo Qianqian frowned, "Is that a gunshot wound?"
Bai Yixian paused, still not speaking.
Luo Qianqian pouted, "Does Zhuzi know how dangerous it is for you to be here?"
Bai Yixian’s eyes dimd, "Does Luo Shufan know you’re here?"
Luo Qianqian was startled and smiled bitterly, shaking her head, "You don’t know yet, my brother has gone missing."
Bai Yixian looked shocked, "What happened?"
Luo Qianqian quietly sat opposite Bai Yixian and recounted everything that had happened during this period before asking, "How did you end up here all alone?"
"Having heard about Luo Xiying’s injury, you should know who did it," Bai Yixian sighed, "The culprit who did it ca over here, and I was hoping to catch the person for your uncle’s revenge, but I ended up getting injured instead."
"The person who hurt Uncle ca over here? When did they co?" Luo Qianqian was startled, feeling a chill in her heart.

"I know." Bai Yizhu was stunned for a while, "But I feel uncomfortable inside."

"Right, you’re injured, how’s your wound? Should I take you to see a doctor?" Luo Qianqian, slling the blood, wore a look of discomfort, "Continuing like this, you’ll lose too much blood." She said, wiping her tears and standing up, looking at the stars in the sky, discerning the direction.
"No need, we mustn’t draw attention." Bai Yixian shook his head, he had already taken asures to stop the bleeding, but if he did not remove the bullet soon, he would still lose too much blood and beco unconscious. Now he was completely immobile, his only hope was Luo Qianqian.
"Qianqian, help get the bullet out," Bai Yixian’s eyes, filled with trust, looked towards Luo Qianqian, who was holding the dagger, her hands trembling.
"I can’t do it..." Luo Qianqian was close to crying, it was dim under the moonlight and she couldn’t see clearly, if she could, she wouldn’t be able to do it, that was human flesh, and also she had no anesthetics or equipnt to stitch the wound.
"You have to do it even if you can’t, right now I can’t move, can you find your way back?" Bai Yixian shook his head, realizing very clearly the mont he saw Luo Qianqian, the child was lost.
