Luo Qianqian furrowed her brow for no apparent reason, staring intently at Luo Xiying.
Old Master Luo, hearing his youngest son’s words, was so angry he jumped up and down. "What nonsense are you spouting?" he exclaid. Using such a topic as a joke among the younger generation was certainly not funny at all, okay?
Luo Xiying simply smiled without saying a word, looking at Luo Qianqian, "You seem to be in good spirits. Shall we go out for a walk?"
Luo Qianqian was startled, then smiled and nodded in response. "You all go ahead and wash up first, I’ll be back soon." She then casually picked up Baozi’s leash, and Baozi knowingly walked over. Luo Qianqian put the leash on him before turning to Luo Xiying, "Let’s go, Uncle."
Old Master Luo simply thought that Luo Xiying was concerned about Luo Qianqian’s earlier incident, so he didn’t pay much attention to it, and Luo Xiying took Luo Qianqian out.
As Luo Qianqian walked beside Luo Xiying, her gaze wasn’t fixed on the path ahead but on Baozi. Unlike usual, Baozi wasn’t frolicking about, but rather staring ahead. Following Baozi’s gaze, Luo Qianqian saw nothing up front.
"When Yixian told , I had so doubts, but it looks like our little Qianqian has grown up," Luo Xiying suddenly said with a laugh.
Luo Qianqian was sowhat perplexed. What did this have to do with Bai Yixian?
"Of course, I’ve grown up. I’m in college now. Uncle can’t always treat like a milk-fed baby, right?" Luo Qianqian replied with a smile, her face showing no signs of panic.
"Yes, not a milk baby anymore. I’ve heard Qianqian can also gamble with stones?" Luo Xiying asked.
Luo Qianqian was taken aback, her mind racing, trying to understand why her uncle was ntioning this now. Then, she quickly realized sothing!
Bai Yizhu had once brought back a whole Gambling Stone, uncut, for them, for her and Shufan. It was still stored in the suitcase under Shufan’s room.
But...
She hesitated, looking at Luo Xiying, "Yes, Uncle, maybe it’s an inherited talent? Look, Uncle understands, Second Uncle understands, what a coincidence." She smiled obediently, her face showing no sign of emotion, no panic, no fluster.
"Really?" Luo Xiying just smiled faintly. "Second Brother was like a blind cat running into a dead mouse—a fluke. But I rember, Qianqian, you never seem to cut wrongly on purpose, do you?"
Luo Qianqian’s face stiffened for a mont, her hand trembling on the leash before regaining composure. "I’m like a blind cat who stumbled upon a whole nest of dead mice, incredibly lucky!" she said with a face full of pride, as if it were the absolute truth.
Luo Xiying just raised an eyebrow, said no more on the matter, and turned his attention to Baozi. He didn’t dwell on the topic and instead asked, "You didn’t have diarrhea yesterday, did you?"
"Ah?" Luo Qianqian was completely clueless.
"You must have swallowed a lot of air, right?" Luo Xiying said jokingly, "No need to be shy, Qianqian. Uncle won’t laugh at you; after all, you’re just like Uncle." He finished with a aningful chuckle.
Luo Qianqian was completely baffled. What on earth did he an by that?
Swallowed a lot of air? Her mind raced to the swift ’Number Thirty-Eight’.
But that matter was a secret, one that nobody should have known, right?
The rustling of tree leaves by the roadside made Luo Qianqian’s nerves tense up. She pulled Baozi behind her, ignoring his attempts to wriggle free, and clung tightly to his collar.
Then, she saw a figure in white erge from behind a tree, dressed in clothes as white as snow, but walking with a slightly disheveled pace.
"Big Brother Bai?!" Luo Qianqian’s face was a picture of disbelief.
"Hey, Xiao Qianqian, you’ve grown quite a bit," Bai Yixian smiled, nodding and casually smoothing out the wrinkles on his clothes.
Luo Xiying imdiately furrowed her brows, "Are you okay?" she asked, looking as if she was about to co over and do sothing.
Bai Yixian quickly stopped her, "It’s alright, it’s alright, just a little mischievous kid," he hastened his steps and approached, "Qianqian, you’ve beco prettier, co, give your Big Brother Bai a hug."
As soon as these words fell, Luo Qianqian heard Bai Yixian let out a muffled groan right in front of her, and the next mont, he withdrew his arms, "Never mind, I guess I’m not blessed enough for this."
He then walked over to Baozi, wrapping his arms around the little creature, "This little guy is so well-behaved, doesn’t bite, how can you be so cute?" he said while continuously stroking Baozi’s fur.
Luo Qianqian looked at Baozi’s constantly wagging tail with a helpless expression, "Don’t just run off with soone because they pet you a couple of tis or give you a sausage, okay?"
Baozi imdiately stopped wagging his tail and snuggled up to Luo Qianqian, rubbing his big head against her pants, as if he was petting Luo Qianqian the way she petted him.
"You’re quite the cunning one, eh?" Bai Yixian said with an amused look on his face.
"Stop ssing around," Luo Xiying said with a helpless smile on his face.
Luo Qianqian chuckled a few ’hehehe’ laughs on the side, then turned to her uncle, "Are you back to et the parents?" she asked with a mischievous smile on her face.
Luo Xiying’s face darkened, "Go play elsewhere, what do you know?"
Bai Yixian rolled his eyes irritably but in the next second raised his eyebrows, "Yeah, isn’t that why I’m here? To see Qianqian?"
Who would believe such a perfunctory excuse? Luo Qianqian huffed, "If my uncle tells to go and play, then I’ll go and play, let know when you’re done."
"Alright, cut the nonsense," Bai Yixian said disdainfully, pushing Luo Xiying away and taking a light blue card from his pocket, which bore the number J00025.
Luo Qianqian looked incredulous, then turned her gaze to her uncle, unable to believe that even her little uncle also was...
However, Luo Xiying clearly couldn’t be bothered to respond to Luo Qianqian’s look, just giving her a faint glance, "So, Number Ninety-Eight, we know all about your affairs."
"Know about what?" At first, Luo Qianqian didn’t quite understand, but then it hit her—was it soone who could whisk her away in a mont of danger, soone who had been lurking around her for a long ti, paying close attention to her? So, was that why her uncle just knew about Old Master Luo having diarrhea?
Even her grandfather wouldn’t know; her uncle, who wasn’t even ho yesterday, had even less reason to know.
"Damn you, Number Thirty-Eight!! The fast-fleeing busybody! Get out here to your granny!!" Luo Qianqian exploded in anger. Could she not have so privacy? Would she ever have any secrets? Would it co to the point where how much she ate, how many tis she used the restroom, and what size underwear she wore would no longer be private?
"Cough, cough, that guy just left," Bai Yixian said earnestly, "People have to sleep, right, you agree, don’t you?"
"Stinky busybody! Next ti I see him, I’ll make sure he gets a taste of my ’descendants-begone’ kick!!!" Luo Qianqian said fuming, not doubting his words in the slightest, for the only person who had shown up in front of her related to that card was that ’fast-fleeing busybody’.
"That’s not right..." Luo Qianqian quickly realized a critical issue, "That busybody told to call him Number Thirty-Eight, so that ans he would call Number Ninety-Eight, but then how did you guys know Number Ninety-Eight was ?"
Her face was a mask of confusion, yet she also feared the horrifying extent of information leakage...
"Do you think what you think is what you really think?" Bai Yixian said with laughter in his eyes, "Number Thirty-Eight, his na is Shi Bahao, are you sure you wouldn’t laugh if you heard that? To avoid such a situation, so his introduction is just to call Number Thirty-Eight."
