After finishing his al, Shi Bahao directly covered Luo Qianqian’s eyes with an eye mask he had casually bought earlier and then calmly picked up the person in front of him. Luo Qianqian felt her feet suspended in mid-air, moving without any support, unable to discern north, south, east, or west, and simply stopped trying to figure out where she was.
It wasn’t long before she felt herself touching the ground, with Shi Bahao panting heavily behind her.
Luo Qianqian felt sowhat embarrassed, "Should I consider losing weight?"
Shi Bahao waved his hand but bent over, too weak to say anything.
Luo Qianqian took off her eye mask and instantly her face was full of speechlessness. Wasn’t this a church? Don’t tell her this was that mysterious place?
And they were people from The East, what’s with this Western setup?
Upon closer inspection, although the architecture was of a European-style church, there was no cross and no vivid stained glass, just a simplistic white European architecture.
Shi Bahao watched as Luo Qianqian removed her eye mask, opened his mouth with a speechless look, but was gasping for breath and couldn’t speak.
"Welco." At this mont, a monk appeared wearing a yellow robe... A monk???
Luo Qianqian’s cheeks twitched slightly, she was a bit puzzled...
"Ahao is back." The ’monk’ looked at Shi Bahao who was panting heavily and smiled faintly, "Co on in."
Luo Qianqian frowned, not knowing why but from the mont she had taken the eye mask off, she had felt as though she was being watched, constantly feeling a gaze lingering on her.
And it wasn’t from Shi Bahao or the monk before her, but the feeling persisted.
Luo Qianqian hesitated for a mont but did not ask, as the only person she knew here was Shi Bahao. Although he had saved her, it didn’t necessarily an she trusted him.
Entering the ’church’, she found that it was not at all what she had imagined. There were twenty-one long hallways with doors of rooms alongside them, no chapels, no crosses, and certainly no place for conducting marriages.
Luo Qianqian slightly furrowed her brow, observing everything in front of her.
Finally, Shi Bahao had caught his breath and took Luo Qianqian into a room, "Wait here for , don’t go anywhere with anyone, no one is okay."
Luo Qianqian nodded, rolling her eyes. Was she that foolish to just wander off? She sat on a chair, quietly sitting and observing the room which resembled a conference room with a long table surrounded by twelve chairs. So if this room was used for etings regularly, there would only be twelve decision-makers at most?
Wait, this was room ninety-eight, totaling no more than a hundred people making decisions...
Indeed ... there was nothing more to say.
After looking around for a while, Luo Qianqian’s face suddenly turned pale; she hadn’t noticed there was another person in the room for so long?
Looking at that person in the corner, Luo Qianqian shivered a bit. It couldn’t be a ghost, could it?
It couldn’t be, it couldn’t be...
She decided to pretend she hadn’t seen it, calmly opened her backpack, took out her wallet, and carefully inspected the cards inside, ignoring the person in the corner.
Luo Qianqian, while looking at her wallet, suddenly realized she had many cards and noticed one in particular. It had been a while since she had visited Shangqi Club? She felt a sudden affection seeing this card.
After thinking it over, she decided to have a al with Qin Nuan this Sunday if she could make it back, or else, she’d postpone it to next week.
Soon, Shi Bahao returned and sighed in relief to find Luo Qianqian still seated; he pulled her up, "Let’s go."
Luo Qianqian quickly packed her things, swiftly stood up, and didn’t glance at that ’ghost’.
Upon exiting the room, Luo Qianqian was filled with terror. "Did you see there was soone in that room?"
"Nonsense, such a big person, who couldn’t see?" Shi Bahao responded, "But even if you talked to her, she wouldn’t respond to you."
Luo Qianqian’s anxiety was sowhat relieved, thank heavens.
"I won’t accompany you in here." Shi Bahao stopped with Luo Qianqian in front of a very large-looking door.
Luo Qianqian suddenly felt, now this seed more like a church. Although the previous room wasn’t small, compared to a church, it was indeed smaller.
The size of this door made her feel its magnificence and dominance, unlike those smaller rooms.
Luo Qianqian had no doubts; she knocked on the door and then pushed it open.
The mont she stepped in, the door closed behind her. Shi Bahao sighed, "Good luck."
Luo Qianqian watched the door close without any sign of nervousness. She blinked, then calmly pulled out her phone to light up the pitch-dark surroundings, which seed completely empty.
Was it just her, surrounded by endless darkness?
Luo Qianqian paused for a mont, looked at her phone, locked the screen, held it in her hand, closed her eyes for a while, then opened them again.
She looked left and right, then felt behind her; no door was to be found. Yet her face showed no surprise. Instead, she jumped up, "Hahaha, there indeed is a Secret Realm!"
She then sat down right there. In this kind of place, walking around would have been the sa, evidently just constant darkness. Luo Qianqian logically speculated, wondering if so realization would light it up.
However...
The room suddenly lit up.
Luo Qianqian covered her eyes, wondering if she had realized sothing without might not have noticed it.
After a mont, she opened her eyes, only to show a face full of awkwardness. Why was there truly nothing in this room??? She turned back around and actually noticed a significant distance from the door????
She saw a young man looking youthful, barely in his twenties, sitting on the floor, covering his mouth, constantly laughing at her.
Luo Qianqian felt embarrassed. Who was this? What was happening?
Why didn’t Shi Bahao, that silly fool, say anything????
What was she supposed to do now? Was she supposed to kill this person?
While she was lost in her thoughts, the young man spoke, "This is not a Secret Realm."
Luo Qianqian felt embarrassed, so she had been overheard????
Her facial expression changing, the young man showed no fear, only continuing with a smile, "I’m the person in charge here, I’m Number Six."
Luo Qianqian blinked, then nodded her head, not saying much, but kept staring straight at him.
"The power supply here is special, so it reacts slowly."
Luo Qianqian continued to nod.
"Take out your card."
Luo Qianqian directly pulled out the contents of her pocket.
The young man took out a remote control from his possession, pressed a few buttons at random, then looked as the room shuddered montarily before the walls and even the floor began to move.
Luo Qianqian was startled and crouched down hastily, fearing that she might be flung out as if riding a roller coaster.
Then she saw countless LCD screens and chairs appearing around her.
Luo Qianqian stared blankly.
"Place your card here." The young man pointed to a low table that had appeared in the center of the room, featuring a small slot. Luo Qianqian calmly inserted her card, still wondering if sothing bizarre would erge.
Then she watched as the card ca back out cracked, and upon a single touch, it crumbled to pieces...
"I don’t have to pay for this, do I?"
The young man looked unimpressed, "No need."
