When the four erged, they astonished everyone present, from Luo Qianqian to the staff, and from Old Master Luo to Luo Yanwu.
Fang Youyuan nodded with satisfaction. At this mont, a staff mber ca out carrying several boxes and placed them on a glass counter to the side.
Qhianqhian sidled over with a mischievous grin, "Are you planning to get the whole set?"
Fang Youyuan raised an eyebrow, "Why? You thinking of footing the bill?"
"No, no, no..." Qhianqhian waved her hands frantically. She definitely wasn’t paying. She was just joking around, seeing as how Fang Youyuan seed to be rely throwing a bit of cash at the matter light-heartedly...
"Grandma, try this on." Fang Youyuan looked at Qhianqhian and shook his head with a helpless smile, then turned and headed towards Yue Tingyu with one of the boxes.
Yue Tingyu, not one to recognize treasures hastily, was taken aback on seeing its contents. The material wasn’t much different from the lucky encounter her second son had once.
Despite concerns about the price, she truly liked it, so she tried it on. The necklace matched her outfit, the bracelet added a unique charm, and there was a pair of teardrop-shaped earrings, making her unlike the gentle grandma usually found at ho cooking.
Qhianqhian nodded repeatedly, "True to form, our senior brother is really sothing."
"Oh? What have you heard about ?" Fang Youyuan was not soone to be shrugged off easily, and he looked at Qhianqhian with a smirk.
Qhianqhian shrugged, "Do I even need to say? Generous and handso, kind and honest, warm and friendly..."
"Stop, stop. Keep going, and I’ll be fad forever." Fang Youyuan said, exasperated, then opened another box, nodded at the bracelets inside, and put them on Ye Qianying and Jia Ning.
Stunned, Qhianqhian watched all of this, unable to react. Could soone tell her how senior brother, who claid never to have encountered ’Emperor Green’, got these?
Jia Ning and Ye Qianying exchanged glances for a mont and then accepted them.
Fang Youyuan looked at Qin Nuan and Cong Rong, pondering for a mont. He opened so other boxes and frowned repeatedly. Then, with a frown at the service staff, he said, "Go get the other sets from last ti."
The staff was already dumbfounded, obediently following Fang Youyuan’s orders like a dummy.
Soon, they brought them back.
Fang Youyuan took out a pair of red jade earrings with a rose design beneath them.
Next, he took out a pair of blue jade earrings with an orchid design beneath them.
He handed them to Qin Nuan and Cong Rong respectively, maintaining a calm deanor, and took off his gloves.
Qhianqhian nodded, "Red is lively and passionate, like Nuannuan; blue is calm and wise, like Cong Rong. Senior brother sure knows how to pick things."
Qin Nuan hesitated and looked at Qhianqhian, who smiled and lightly nodded.
Such things she could return in other ways. There would be plenty of opportunities later, anyway.
"How much?" Jia Ning asked, looking satisfied as she nodded, seeing the two kids wear the jewelry to match their personalities.
"You’re joking, Auntie. This is my eting gift to the little junior sister’s family as a senior brother. Does Auntie look down on ?" Fang Youyuan smiled, getting the staff to wrap up the boxes and handed them to Qhianqhian, who nonchalantly passed them to Old Master Luo, who then passed them to Luo Yanwu.
Accepting his fate, Luo Yanwu received them carefully.
"Second Aunt, just keep them safe. I’ll return the favor to senior brother later. Don’t worry." Qhianqhian said with a calm expression, looking at Fang Youyuan with a hint of helplessness in her eyes.
Fang Youyuan shrugged, "Exactly, it’s my token of appreciation."
"And those clothes too..."
"Qhianqhian already paid." Fang Youyuan stopped Jia Ning’s actions, just as the staff handed back the bank card. Qhianqhian accepted the card calmly and slipped it back into her wallet.
Winking at Jia Ning, she said, "Just let Second Aunt buy for ; no need to buy for the brothers. They’re not keen on paying anyway."
Jia Ning nodded earnestly, "Indeed."
After changing back into her clothes, she realized wearing this outfit for a shopping trip was truly wasting it.
As brothers, Luo Yanhai exchanged looks with the two younger ones and shrugged helplessly. They didn’t particularly need anything anyway.
However, Qhianqhian needed new clothes because she was wearing a ripped one under Luo Yanwu’s jacket.
After bidding farewell to Fang Youyuan, they planned to return ho to eat at later. They left the items in the store, to be collected later.
They then headed straight to the next store, specifically to buy clothes for Qhianqhian.
During a break in the bathroom, Qhianqhian sneakily bought Luo Yanwu an outfit, plus an extra coat.
Luo Yanwu looked at the two brothers with a bit of smugness.
Until the three brothers could no longer carry anything, Qhianqhian and her group ended their shopping spree.
Jia Ning slightly frowned, "Seems we’ll have to co out again; haven’t bought enough winter clothes yet. Qhianqhian is growing, last year’s clothes must be small now."
Typically very frugal, Yue Tingyu and Ye Qianying both nodded repeatedly hearing this, "Yes, she should be dressed prettily, like a little girl should."
"Exactly, we’ll co shopping again when Qhianqhian has a break."
Hearing their mother’s words, Luo Yanhai was speechless, so it really is favoring daughters over sons, huh?
As a child, he only got new clothes when his beca too small to wear, and his collection was quite limited: four sets for sumr, four for winter, four for spring and autumn. Among them, only Luo Yanran got more clothes since she was treated as a girl when young.
And for Qhianqhian? So clothes weren’t worn before they were too small.
Reasons for buying clothes now beca ’out of style,’ or ’last year’s clothes don’t match this year’s deanor,’ or ’should be too small’...
How could that be when Qhianqhian hadn’t grown tens of centiters in a year?
The three brothers silently lanted before splitting into two groups: Luo Yanhai took the elders grocery shopping, while Luo Yanhao and Luo Yanwu took the ladies ho. Oh, Fang Youyuan too.
Qhianqhian thought that any arrangent seed a bit off. Turning to Fang Youyuan, she asked, "Senior brother, did you drive?"
Fang Youyuan nodded.
"Then I’ll ride with you and give directions. You all go ahead and get in the car." Qhianqhian nonchalantly waved at Qin Nuan and Cong Rong.
Qin Nuan was a bit stunned, then nodded and got in the car, followed by Cong Rong.
Watching the car leave, Qhianqhian turned to Fang Youyuan, "Senior brother, how co you never told your grandfather knew my grandfather? And you didn’t tell you owned a shop here either?"
Fang Youyuan smiled, "What difference would it make if I told you? You’d know when the ti cos anyway."
