"It’s not that bad." Lucy Wells said with a sweet, blissful smile on her face, "There’s a lot to prepare for an engagent."
What could Sophie Wilson say?
Her good friend is getting engaged to her cousin, so of course, she, as both a cousin and friend, needs to accompany her the entire ti.
"I didn’t realize engagents were so troubleso." Sophie Wilson suddenly felt sympathy for Charles Seymour, who had prepared their engagent ceremony before. It really wasn’t easy.
"I’ll choose one more lipstick, then we’ll go upstairs for dinner." Lucy Wells said considerately, "You can wait for here."
Not far away is the costics counter, and Lucy Wells ran over to pick out a lipstick while Sophie Wilson stayed to watch their things.
She made a phone call to Charles Seymour to express her gratitude, not realizing that preparing these things was so tiring and complicated.
She was just accompanying Lucy Wells for so shopping and hadn’t participated in the actual preparations.
"Darling, you must have been exhausted!" As soon as the call connected, Sophie Wilson’s seemingly random words made Charles Seymour pause, puzzled, "What?"
"Back when you prepared our engagent, it must have been so draining. I’m just shopping with Lucy and can barely handle it. How did you manage to prepare everything in such detail?" Sophie Wilson asked, reflecting.
"Our engagent is a matter for both of us, how could I feel tired?" Charles Seymour’s voice carried a doting laugh, "If you’re tired of shopping, I can co pick you up."
Charles Seymour’s image instantly grew taller in Sophie Wilson’s eyes: "No need, you don’t have to co. I’m with Lucy, I’m fine, just feeling spoiled and reflecting on how difficult it was for you back then, darling, mwah, love you."
"Mm, I love you too." Charles Seymour finished the sweet talk with Sophie Wilson, hung up the phone, and looked at Jim Perry, who had said he would leave after finishing work but hadn’t yet left, puzzled and asked, "Anything else?"
"Not work-related." Jim Perry said, "But... boss, I’d like to discuss a matter with you."

"Isn’t it inappropriate to take credit in front of your partner at the expense of your subordinates? It’s better to be honest, I think." Jim Perry forced a smile, kindly advising his boss who seed to be ’straying.’
"Weren’t you doing what I instructed?" Charles Seymour asked indifferently.
"Yes, but..."
"Weren’t the problems found by during checks?" Charles Seymour continued asking, completely ignoring Jim Perry’s replies.
"Boss, you weren’t checking, you were nit-picking, looking for flaws where there are none." Jim Perry laughed.
