Who was the boss President Palr was talking about?

Everyone’s eyes focused on Sophie Wilson.
Amazing, unbelievable, curious... Among all these gazes, only Eva and Lucas Payten looked not only incredulous but also... terrified.
Eva’s lips twitched, as if she wanted to say sothing, but she couldn’t get a single word out.
Her facial muscles were so stiff that her features seed a bit distorted.
Not to ntion Lucas Payten, his complexion wasn’t much better than a dead person’s.
"I’m really sorry. From now on, you have no reason to co to the company looking for your boyfriend." Sophie Wilson gave Eva and Lucas a gentle smile, then her gaze fell on Catherine Carter, the HR manager who had been watching from the sidelines. "Sister Carter, aren’t you going to quickly process Lucas Payten’s paperwork?"
"Oh, oh..." Catherine Carter was shocked back to her senses, nodded repeatedly, and squeezed out in a hurry, rushing back to the office to do the paperwork.
"President Wilson, why are you here?" Edward Palr didn’t bother with Eva, who was still in shock, and instead walked towards Sophie Wilson.
"I ca to get my things," Sophie Wilson said with a smile. "Oh, and I happened to have sothing to discuss with you."
"Alright, President Wilson, let’s go to my office."
After Sophie Wilson and Edward Palr left, the office area erupted.
Didn’t the people from the head office say that Sophie Wilson was an illegitimate daughter not long ago?
How did she turn out to be the boss?
What on earth is going on?
Everyone was dying of curiosity.
Others were just curious, but Lucas Payten’s hands and feet turned cold.
His job... was gone?
"Eva, what’s going on?" Lucas Payten grabbed Eva’s arm, squeezing so hard that Eva cried out in pain, "Let go, let go, it hurts!"
"What’s going on, tell !" Lucas Payten couldn’t care less about that; he had lost his job.
"Co with ." Eva held back her pain, pulling Lucas Payten out of the company.
In the stairwell, Eva forcefully shook off Lucas Payten’s hand and called Lily Warren.
The phone rang for a long ti before it was answered. Eva imdiately switched to a fawning tone: "Mistress, Sophie Wilson ca to the branch today, pretending to be the company boss, she..."
"She is the company boss. Don’t call anymore!" An annoyed voice from Lily Warren ca through on the phone, and before Eva could say anything else, the call was abruptly disconnected.
"Hello, hello..." Eva shouted twice, but there was no response; only then did she realize the call was disconnected.
When she called again, it was already unavailable.
It wasn’t until this mont that Eva truly panicked: "What do we do? What do we do?"
"Who are you asking what to do? I’ve lost my job! What do I do?" Lucas Payten, upon hearing this, panicked, "Didn’t you say you had a good relationship with the mistress? What’s going on?"
"I don’t know." Eva was so anxious she was almost crying, "The mistress said Sophie Wilson is the boss, what on earth is going on?"
Upon hearing this, Lucas Payten’s heart sank, and he gave Eva a heavy push: "You troublemaker!"
"Lucas Payten, what did you call ?" Eva was pushed, crashing heavily into the wall, the pain unbearable, anger flaring up, "Are you really my boyfriend or not? Do you love ?"
"Not from now on!" Lucas Payten shouted fiercely, "If your uncle weren’t Edward Palr, do you think I would have been with you?"
