Sophie Wilson cheered herself on in her heart, determined not to let go, determined to hold on.
Charles Seymour’s puzzled gaze moved from Sophie Wilson’s face to her hand holding his, then back to her face.
Sophie Wilson lifted her head proudly and asked, "Is sothing wrong?"
"Yes." Charles Seymour said coldly.
"Huh?" Sophie Wilson was dumbfounded, what could be wrong with holding hands?

Before she could react, her fingers were separated, and long, strong fingers intertwined with hers.
"This is how it should be." Charles Seymour calmly instructed Sophie Wilson.
Facing such a handso face and those bright, starry eyes... Sophie Wilson’s face, neck, and ears suddenly turned completely red.
The scorching heat almost burned Sophie Wilson up.

Sophie Wilson was exasperated.
"You sit here for a while, I’m going to wash my hands." With that, Charles Seymour left for the restroom.
The nearby colleagues teased with a smile, "Oh wow, Sophie... your face is so red, what mischief have you been up to?"
It was only then that Sophie Wilson realized that he had already led her back to her workstation.
Her fingers moved slightly, still feeling the lingering warmth of his large hand, and she secretly smiled as she said proudly, "What about it? That’s my boyfriend, doing sothing mischievous is perfectly normal!"
This statent drew a round of laughter from the colleagues in the office, just as Charles Seymour walked in, giving a puzzled look to all the people who were chuckling suggestively, and asked Sophie Wilson, "What’s going on?"
"Nothing, they’re just saying how great you are." Sophie Wilson laughed, pulling Charles Seymour to sit down, then waved at her colleagues, "Eat, everyone, eat!"
The office colleagues smiled and returned to their seats to eat.
"Weren’t you coming after work?" Sophie Wilson asked, realizing too late that it was the wrong setting for that question.
Just as she was about to change the subject, Charles Seymour spoke up, "I finally made it official, I couldn’t wait until after work."
Sophie Wilson was glad she wasn’t drinking water; otherwise, she would’ve spat it all over Charles Seymour’s face.
"Food ordered outside can never compare to ho-cooked als."
"Sophie, your boyfriend is so considerate!" a colleague exclaid enviously after Charles Seymour’s words.
"Of course, if he weren’t considerate, I wouldn’t be with him." Sophie Wilson bragged with a bright smile, then continued eating.
Not to ntion, it was all food she liked, though, because of the distance, the peanuts in the side dishes weren’t crunchy.
But since it was specially delivered by soone, Sophie Wilson ate it all up.
After the al, Charles Seymour left.
Sophie Wilson was chatting with Lucy Wells.
"Sophie, your boyfriend is really wonderful, so thoughtful." Lucy Wells peered at Sophie Wilson with a smile.
Sophie Wilson looked at the gentle-natured Lucy Wells in front of her, recalling that in her past life, after she recovered, she learned about Lucy Wells’s situation.
This gentle woman had suffered greatly, trapped in a nightmare of a marriage, so tornting that she was neither fully alive nor dead.
