His first impression of Sophie Wilson was indeed very good, but... you could say he overthought, or perhaps he was just overly cautious.
However, in the business world, having experienced so much, not thinking things over would have left him with nothing but bones.
Mason Wilson drove the car directly to the outskirts, an empty area with no other people around.
Ahead by the roadside, a car was parked. As their car approached, the door opened, and Sophie Wilson stepped out.
"Sophie, we’re late." Clarissa Taylor got out of the car and said to Sophie Wilson with a smile.
"No, Aunt Taylor, we arrived early." Sophie Wilson replied with a smile.
The two seed to be getting along naturally, without any awkward feelings about going for a paternity test.
Mason Wilson got out of the car, putting on his habitual business smile: "Actually, I know soone at the city hospital who can ensure confidentiality."
The city hospital was the best in the Imperial City, with many patients traveling from out of town for its services.
They could perform paternity tests there.
Of course, there were other institutions in the Imperial City that could do it, but he wasn’t sure if the people at those institutions were conspiring with Charles Seymour and them, so he was wary.
"The head of the Wilson Clan should still be your father." Charles Seymour said with no courtesy, even though he knew this man might be Sophie’s father.
If Mason Wilson were truly Sophie’s father, and he was unaware that Sophie had been swapped, did he deserve to be a father?
Charles Seymour’s words left Mason Wilson sowhat uneasy, unable to maintain his perfect facade of a smile: "Are you suggesting my father swapped his biological granddaughter? How is that possible?"
"Just in case." Charles Seymour had no intention of explaining himself to Mason Wilson.
Mason was not Sophie, he didn’t have that patience.
"Sophie, get in the car." Charles Seymour called out.
Only then did Sophie Wilson exchange a word with Clarissa Taylor before getting back in the car.
Clarissa Taylor got into her own car, asking Mason Wilson who was driving closely behind Charles Seymour’s car: "Don’t you trust the place they chose?"
Clarissa Taylor didn’t like those outside complications, but that didn’t an she was naive.
From a few simple words, she understood that Mason Wilson was worried Sophie and her boyfriend might be falsifying things.
"Mason, look at the car Sophie’s boyfriend drives, does it seem like he needs to latch on to our Wilson Clan?" Clarissa Taylor asked.
That car was even more expensive than theirs.
Mason Wilson smiled, ambiguously saying: "Let’s see when we get there."
What difference does a good car make?
Not to ntion a car can be rented, and even if it’s bought, spending a bit of money to acquire the entire Wilson Clan’s assets would be worth it.
These thoughts, of course, were not suitable for sharing with his wife, since they were just his suspicions. He would wait until they arrived to see.
Clarissa Taylor understood his thoughts when she saw Mason Wilson’s deanor, sighed silently but said nothing.
Having him co for the test was already hard enough.
She knew that Mason Wilson never truly believed in Sophie’s claims.
His presence was rely to show he cared about her feelings and put her at ease.
As the car drove further and further, Mason Wilson’s expression soured. Where was Sophie Wilson taking them?
The thought of possible kidnapping, robbery, or murder crossed his mind, but looking at Clarissa Taylor beside him, Mason Wilson didn’t slow down and continued closely behind Sophie’s car.
