"Yeah." Sophie Wilson nodded with a smile, "The first ti she deliberately didn’t dodge, the second ti, well, I deliberately put more force into it."
Julian Campbell forcefully pushed his dropped jaw back up with one hand.
"No way, Auntie, you noticed that?" Julian asked in surprise.
"I’m not stupid." Sophie laughed as she looked at her nephew; yes, this kid was still quite naive.
He needs proper protection.
For so reason, he felt his aunt’s gaze on him was quite... benevolent?
Julian shook his head vigorously to rid himself of this strange feeling and then asked, "Auntie, since you knew she was setting you up, why did you still..."
Julian trailed off, unable to finish.
After all, it was only after the first slap that it beca clear Grace Wilson had set up the trap. By then, Sophie Wilson was already caught in it, and no matter what she did, she couldn’t cleanly extricate herself.
The only option was damage control, which didn’t work out well... better left unsaid.
"Because it was my first ti acting," Sophie said with a smile, "I didn’t know much. I really slapped for real and got flustered."
"But if Grace Wilson uses this matter to tarnish your reputation in the future..." Julian looked at Sophie worriedly, but then felt relieved. His uncle could handle it.
It might be a bit troubleso, but for his uncle, it wouldn’t be a big deal, right?
"I’ll make sure people scold her to death." Sophie smiled lightly, her eyes glimring with endless cunning.
Julian blinked, so... his aunt had already thought of a counter-strategy?
Was Grace Wilson digging her own grave?
"Grace Wilson’s scene is about ready," George Reed ca over and reminded them.
"Hmm, thanks." Sophie smiled in gratitude before going over to continue filming.
Julian hid to the side, watching Grace getting slapped, over and over again.
Each take was rejected, either Grace forgot her lines or stood in the wrong position; there was always so issue.
The key is, all these issues were created by Grace herself.
Grace apologized tearfully to those around her, continuing to shoot take after take.
Julian glanced at Grace’s face, which was swollen and nearly beyond the cover of foundation, and turned his head silently.
Grace was really dedicated, but... too stupid.
She didn’t even realize she was sabotaging herself.
Those are matters for later; Grace wasn’t aware of them, so can’t be blad.
The current issue is... doesn’t Grace see the director is losing patience?
With a loud smack, the director threw the script onto the ground: "Can you act? If not, we’ll replace you!"
After throwing the script, the director turned and walked away.
Is Grace Wilson crazy?
If she has a grudge against Sophie, settle it privately, don’t waste the crew’s ti. What is her intention?
The director’s sudden outburst truly scared Grace.
She was in pain, and her heart was filled with fear. Her timid gaze scanned the surroundings before finally settling desperately on Ophelia Wilson.
Ophelia cursed in her heart, foolish creature.
How could anyone be so stupid?
Setting people up so obviously, did she really think everyone was blind?
As Ophelia pondered how to maintain her image while continuing to manipulate Grace against Sophie, a piercing scream, as sharp as needles, threatened to pierce everyone’s eardrums: "Sophie Wilson, you’re so despicable!"
